Kuroka laughed, her eyes gleaming with enthusiasm. "This plan is great, Riser-sama. Diodora is indeed the perfect choice, nya."
"Without a doubt," replied Riser with a dark smile.
Merlin, ever pragmatic, nodded. "Then, we should take care of Issei before his fight with Diodora. That way, we ensure everything goes as planned."
Riser agreed, his mind already mapping out the next steps. "Excellent. And, Merlin, do you have anyone else in mind to add to your Peerage?"
Merlin smiled mysteriously. "Yes, I have someone in mind. But I'd like to make it a surprise for you, Riser-sama."
Riser raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Surprise? Very well, Merlin. You have my permission."
Suddenly, Riser's phone rang with an insistent vibration. He answered, curious to know who was calling.
"Sona," he said, recognizing the voice on the other end of the line. "What is it?"
"Riser, it's Sona. I received a message from Serafall. She wants you to meet her at the Hotel Nocturnus in the underworld. She said it's urgent."
Riser frowned, finding the situation strange. "At the Hotel Nocturnus? That's unusual. But alright, I'll go. Thanks for letting me know, Sona."
He hung up the phone and looked at Merlin and Kuroka. "Serafall wants to meet me at the Hotel Nocturnus."
Riser stood up, adjusting his posture and preparing for the unexpected meeting. "Merlin, Kuroka, I have to go. Take care of things here while I'm gone."
Merlin nodded, and Kuroka waved with a smile. "Good luck, Riser-sama. Take care."
With a final nod, Riser concentrated and teleported to the Hotel Nocturnus.
Upon arrival, he found himself in front of a grand Gothic-style building with tall towers and ornate windows. The hotel exuded an air of mystery and opulence. The dark stone walls contrasted with the soft, ethereal lights illuminating the exterior.
At the main entrance, there was a large wrought-iron gate adorned with intricate designs and crests of ancient devil clans. The surrounding gardens were impeccably maintained, with exotic plants and crystal-clear water fountains emanating a light magical mist.
As Riser walked towards the entrance, the door opened automatically, revealing a vast and luxurious entrance hall. The marble floor gleamed under the crystal chandeliers hanging from the high ceiling, reflecting the lights in hypnotic patterns. Red carpets adorned the floor, leading guests to various areas of the hotel.
In the center of the hall, surrounded by elaborate decorations and luxurious furniture, stood Serafall Leviathan, one of the Maous of the underworld. She was impeccably dressed, in an elegant dress that sparkled under the soft light of the environment. Her eyes shone with a mix of urgency and anticipation.
Riser walked towards her, maintaining a neutral expression but with evident curiosity in his eyes. "Serafall, here I am. What's so urgent?"
Serafall smiled, a playful glint in her eyes. "Riser-chan, you are going to participate in a very important meeting."
Riser frowned, intrigued. "What meeting is this? And why wasn't I informed earlier?"
Serafall began walking towards a door beside the hall, gesturing for Riser to follow. "I forgot, Riser-chan. Sorry! I was so busy with other things that I let it slip."
Riser sighed but followed Serafall through the luxurious corridors of the hotel. "Forgetting an important meeting? That's not typical of you, Serafall."
She laughed lightly, opening the door to a sumptuous conference room, decorated with ancient tapestries and a large dark wooden table. "I know, Riser-chan. But sometimes even Maous can get distracted."
Riser sighed and entered the room, noticing that several figures were already present. Sirzechs Lucifer, Ajuka Beelzebub, Odin, and Rossweisse were seated around the table, waiting for the meeting to start.
"Finally, boy. Do you have no shame in making an old man wait?" said a deep voice.
Riser was confused for a moment, trying to identify the owner of the voice. He then noticed a woman in a suit, with long silver hair and a determined look. He immediately recognized her from the anime: Rossweisse, the Valkyrie. This helped him identify that the man beside her was Odin.
"Someone did me the favor of informing me at the last minute." He looked directly at Serafall.
Serafall raised her hands in a gesture of apology, with a playful smile. "Oops, my mistake."
Riser shook his head, resigned. "Alright, Serafall. Let's get to the point."
Sirzechs took the floor.
"Riser, we are here to discuss a cooperation agreement between the devils and the Norse gods."
Riser frowned, interested but confused. "This is a good agreement, but why am I here? I'm not a Maou."
Sirzechs looked at Riser with a cold gaze, his voice laced with subtle antipathy. "That's a question that should be asked to Serafall."
Riser noticed the cold tone of Sirzechs, sensing the Maou's lack of sympathy for him. Something about the way Sirzechs spoke made it clear that he didn't like Riser.
Serafall, sensing the tension in the air, quickly intervened. "Riser-chan, you are one of the few Supreme Class Devils. Your participation in this meeting is important for several reasons. First, your influence is significant, and your support for the agreement will strengthen our position. Second, you are here to replace Falbium Asmodeus."
Odin, impatient, interrupted. "Let's get on with it. We don't have all day."
Ajuka Beelzebub, ever meticulous, looked around the room. "If everyone agrees, we can proceed with the signing of the agreement."
Odin nodded, but with a serious expression. "I agree, but we need some guarantees. We want to ensure that the cooperation will be mutual and that there will be clear measures to resolve any disputes that may arise."
Sirzechs nodded. "These guarantees are included in the agreement. We will have a joint committee to mediate any conflict and ensure that all parties fulfill their obligations."
Riser, seeing that everyone was aligned, decided it would be prudent to quickly conclude the meeting. "Since everything is settled, we should sign and conclude the meeting."
Odin, with a slight smile, asked: "Why such a hurry, young man?"
Riser raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "What do you mean by that, Odin? You yourself complained about the delay."
Odin laughed lightly, raising his hands in a gesture of apology. "Forgive me, Riser. I'm an old man and sometimes forget things."
Riser sensed the playful tone in Odin's words, feeling that he was just trying to provoke. "I understand. Let's proceed with the signing of the agreement."
All those present prepared to sign the document, formalizing the cooperation between the devils and the Norse gods. Riser, Sirzechs, Serafall, Ajuka, Odin, and the other leaders placed their signatures on the agreement, marking a historic moment.
Riser, still feeling Odin's slight provocation, kept his expression neutral but was satisfied with the outcome of the meeting.
