DxD: Mechanic's Scrapyard

A street rat with an uncanny affinity for machines reincarnates into a world he, now she, has no knowledge of. Being a child again in the wrong gender at that was a bit weird, but that was nothing compared to finding out what sort of beings she was now living amongst. She shrugged her shoulders "Well as long as they don't mess with my scrapyard." --- Author Note: Just a disclaimer for those who don't like OP MC's, she will be pretty OP and I don't really like situations where stories forces the MC to go against someone they literally have no chance of winning against. For those curious about Romance? I don't know, pretty much nothing is planned, however if I do decide to try, the love interest will also be female. The Cover picture is Jona from Alchemy Stars.

Chapter 6 - First Encounter

A few days later, I had a pretty nice setup going for me. Feeling like the radar could be improved upon further, I installed a transmitter and made a bunch of amplifier relays that I set up so the radar would cover the whole scrapyard, and slightly beyond. After that, I gathered everything that pinged on the scans into a pile which it was much easier with my newfound tactile telekinesis, since I was much stronger now. Anyway. Looking at the heap of busted lightsabers and guns, I thought about what weapon I wanted to use, since I'm sure I will be fighting eventually.

I haven't really built anything strictly offensive yet, since I didn't really see the need, but I kind of want to expand my radar to cover the whole city and see if anything pops up, as for a weapon though? I don't know if it's my newfound strength, but I sort of want to just punch people. Simple and easy, you know?

With that in mind, I entered my Workshop space and started with making a skeleton frame that would go over my arms and started beefing it up. Something I thought would be cool would be a sort of explosive air release that would make my punches even more powerful, so I created a combustion device, a few vents on my elbows pointing backwards and a few flaps that would help directing the force to make the release more efficient.

As for protection, I decided to leave most of the heavy work to my TT, so I ended up creating a few recievers in the gauntlets that when flooded with psychic energy would create a layer of protection around me and amplify it. Being pretty happy with this for a base model, I put it on for some field tests.

A few hours of ironing out the kinks later, and it was done. Standing in front of a cracked mirror and looking over it, I was pretty happy with how it turned out. The gauntlets themselves were sort of bulky but solid looking with squarish metal plates running up my arms for flexibility. The elbows were flaring out slightly to make space for the combustion mechanism with a few fins higher up, while my shoulders had squarish shoulder pauldrons.

Glinting in a metallic black accompanied by the 'Voom~' noise that my constructs generated it looked awesome. Throwing a punch, the sound of a tank firing rang out as my arm shot forward while the force exerted kicked up dust in a circle around me as a bunch of smoke shot out of the vents. Looking down while clenching and unclenching my hand, I could feel a slightly too wide smile make it's way unto my face.

---

A few days later I was walking through the town, having donned my mask, while following the signal my radar picked up, the last few days I used the cover of the night combinted with a belt that lowered my presence to set up the amplifiers through the city, and although there were multiple signals, this one suddenly popped up a while ago and it's pretty strong.

Looking around me I was currently on the edge of the city where a few abandoned looking warehouses were located. Walking up to the building the signal pointed to, I walked around the warehouse looking through the odd hole here and there for my target before spotting it leaning against the wall, panting.

It sort of looked like a humanoid cross between a horse, a fish and a toad, what was it called again?... A, uh... murdoc? Murduck?... Murloc that's it, it looked like a more humanoid murloc. Well seeing as I want to figure out how strong things are in this world, I'll prod it a bit.

The stray devil was exhausted, having just barely escaped from the underworld after killing his 'King' using a half activated contract summon amidst the spells flying his way. He had used up alot of his demonic energy in hurrying it up and had taken temporary shelter in the city he was summoned to after killing his summoner, but he was still jumpy from the adrenaline and exhaustion.

Hearing a sudden noise he immediately sprung up while his eyes swerved around erratically looking for any signs of an enemy, a few seconds later he almost had a heart attack as what looked like a bullet of holy energy sped towards him. Just barely being able to jump away in time, he scrambled back up to his feet as the stress of the last few hours gradually turned into rage.

"Hey you, exorcist fucks! Don't even have the balls to show yourselves anymore, huh!? Fucking cowards!"

Rushing in the direction the bullet came from, he burst through the wall in a show of dust and debris.

---

Hmm... doesn't look like it's all that strong, although clearly above human levels, it's nothing I can't handle. I got some interesting intel, though. Exorcists are apparently a thing and seeing how frantically it tried to avoid the hard-light bullet, this is probably a demon or something similar, furthermore since it looks like it mistook the hard-light bullet for something else, light or holy magic probably exists, so magic is a thing here.

Equipping my Punching Rig I clenched my fists as a smile gradually appeared under my mask.

Let's do this.

Still frantically looking around, the stray devil tried sensing the enemy's location and got nothing at all. No presence, no vile holy energy and nothing that would indicate another being lurking around. The stillness lasted for a few moments before an extremely loud noise rang out from behind him, quickly turning around he saw a weird speaker box on the ground slightly further away. Eyes quickly widening, he quickly started turning back around, though not fast enough.

Out of the corner of his eye he saw a redheaded little girl wearing a metallic mask covering the bottom half of her face with a big mechanical fist coated in an electric purple-blue aura cocked back flying straight towards him. As if time slowed down, he heard what sounded like a tank firing as the lines running through the gauntlet briefly flared up in combustion and it instantly sped up. The last thing he heard being...

"Koko Puuuunch~!!!"
