Chapter [66]

Battlefield

Kaito walked through the battlefield, his eyes keen on every detail around him. The replicas of the school were silent, but he knew danger could arise at any moment. The air was thick with tension, and the distant sounds of fights indicated that his companions were also facing challenges.

As he walked, a holographic light appeared before him. Grayfia's image floated in the air with a calm expression.

"Shuriya and Mira, Riser's pawns, have been eliminated," Grayfia announced, her firm voice echoing across the battlefield.

"At least those two are being useful," Kaito muttered as he continued his search across the battlefield.

As he advanced, Kaito spotted two figures in the distance. He stopped, analyzing their presence. Isabela, a voluptuous woman with short light brown hair and gray eyes, stood ahead. Her hair had three red streaks, and she wore a simple white mask covering the right side of her face. Beside her was Mihae, a young woman in a kimono with a pattern of purple, orange, and pink colors. Her black hair was tied in a side bun, and her large brown eyes shone with determination.

Kaito knew he had to act quickly. He concentrated his energy, and vines began to emerge from the ground at his command. The vines moved swiftly, advancing towards Isabela and Mihae.

Isabela, being Riser's Rook, tried to use her superhuman strength to cut the vines with her hands. However, the vines were strong and flexible, quickly wrapping around her arms and legs, immobilizing her.

"You won't pin me down so easily," Isabela said, her voice full of determination as she struggled against the vines.

Mihae, being Riser's Bishop, tried to use her magic to create a barrier around them. However, Kaito's vines were faster, breaking through the barrier and entwining around Mihae, completely immobilizing her.

"Impressive," Mihae said, her voice calm despite the situation. "You're stronger than we imagined."

Kaito maintained his serious expression, focusing on controlling the vines. With a decisive move, he tightened the vines around Isabela and Mihae, completely immobilizing them and removing them from the battlefield.

"Isabela, Riser's Rook, and Mihae, Riser's Bishop, have been eliminated," Grayfia announced, her voice echoing across the battlefield once again.

Kaito took a deep breath, feeling the tension ease slightly. He knew there were more fights ahead, but each victory brought them closer to defeating Riser. With that in mind, he continued to advance through the battlefield.

As he continued, Kaito spotted another figure in the distance. It was Karlamine, a young woman with light brown hair and green eyes, dressed in a full set of silver armor with black details. She wielded a long sword, her posture confident and ready for battle.

"In Riser's name, I'll stop you here," Karlamine said, raising her sword and preparing for combat.

Kaito decided to use the environment to his advantage. He extended his hands and concentrated his energy, making the surrounding trees move. Roots emerged from the ground, advancing towards Karlamine with speed and precision.

SWOOSH!

Karlamine swung her sword, cutting through some of the roots. However, Kaito continued to manipulate the trees, creating a barrier of branches and leaves around her.

The battle continued, with Karlamine skillfully dodging and attacking. Kaito, on the other hand, remained focused, using nature to wear down his opponent.

As the fight progressed, Grayfia appeared in a holographic image, her voice echoing across the battlefield. "Marion and Burent, Riser's pawns, have been eliminated," she announced.

Visibly tired, Karlamine tried to advance with a decisive blow, but Kaito was prepared. He deftly dodged and, with a quick move, delivered a powerful punch to her stomach.

THUD!

Karlamine fell to her knees, defeated. Kaito took a deep breath, feeling victory close. He knew each battle brought them closer to defeating Riser and freeing Rias.

Grayfia then announced, "Karlamine, Riser's Knight, has been eliminated."

.....

In the waiting room, Riser was furious. He paced back and forth, his fists clenched. Ravel, his sister and Bishop, was sitting, watching her brother with concern. Yubelluna, the Queen of Riser's Peerage, stood beside him, her expression serious.

"This is unacceptable!" Riser shouted, his voice echoing through the room. "How can they be eliminating my pawns so easily?"

"Onii-sama, they are fighting well, but we still have a chance," Ravel said, trying to calm her brother.

Riser snorted, his anger evident. "I'll deal with him personally. We can't let them keep advancing."

Ravel stood up and walked over to Riser, placing her hand on his arm. "Onii-sama, I'll distract Kaito. This will give you time to focus on Rias and Akeno."

Riser looked at his sister, pondering for a moment. "Do that, Ravel. And Yubelluna, you come with me. Let's end this once and for all."

Yubelluna nodded, her expression determined. "Yes, Riser. Let's."

....

Rias and Akeno were in another waiting room, monitoring the situation. When they saw Grayfia announce Karlamine's elimination, they knew it was time to act.

"Let's move, Akeno," Rias said, her voice firm. "We can't leave Kaito alone for too long."

Akeno smiled, agreeing. "Yes, Rias. Let's show them what we're capable of."

....

Kaito advanced through the battlefield when he spotted Ravel in the distance. She was alone, waiting for him.

"You must be Kaito," Ravel said, her voice calm. "I am Ravel, Riser's sister."

Kaito stopped, assessing the situation. "What do you want, Ravel?"

"I'm here to distract you," she replied, a cold smile on her face. "My brother needs time to focus on Rias and Akeno."

'She must have the same immortality as him, and I don't want to waste time here. I need a quick solution to keep advancing.'

"I don't have time for this," Kaito said as he prepared to attack.

Suddenly, Koneko appeared, positioning herself next to Kaito. "Senpai, you can go. I'll take care of her," Koneko said, her voice firm.

"Thank you, Koneko. Take care."

"Will do," Koneko replied. "Kiba is about to defeat the opponent's last Knight and will join me."

Kaito nodded and began to move away, but was interrupted by Ravel's voice.

"I didn't give you permission to leave and disturb Onii-sama," Ravel said, using her fire power to attack Kaito.

KABOOM!

Koneko quickly intervened, delivering a powerful punch to the ground.

CRACK!

The ground shattered under the impact, unbalancing Ravel and interrupting her attack. Kaito took the opportunity and ran towards where Rias was, focused on reaching his leader.

As he ran, Kaito heard Grayfia's voice echoing across the battlefield. "Siris, Riser's Knight, has been eliminated."

....

Kaito reached the school rooftop, where Riser and Yubelluna were already waiting. Rias and Akeno were also there, ready for the final battle.

Riser smiled arrogantly. "So, the time has finally come. Rias, are you ready to accept your fate and become my wife?"

"I would never marry you," Rias responded, her voice firm and full of disdain. "We will win this battle and end this forced engagement."

"I can't help but enjoy this," Kaito said with a laugh. "Do you really think you can force someone to marry you, Riser? That's pathetic."

Riser narrowed his eyes, irritated. "Who are you to talk to me like that?"

"Do you remember me in the Occult Research Club room?" Kaito continued, a mocking smile on his face. "You were so confident you would win, but here we are, about to shatter your illusions."

Everyone looked at Kaito, surprised by his boldness. Rias and Akeno had expressions of admiration and determination, while Riser was furious.

"You are that low-class Devil," Riser said, anger evident in his voice. "You will pay for touching my fiancée."

Kaito just smiled, keeping calm. "Let's see who pays in the end, Riser."

With a quick movement, Kaito used his wind magic and flew to the rooftop, positioning himself between Rias and Akeno. He looked at Rias, his eyes full of confidence.

"Rias, give me a kiss for good luck," Kaito asked, his voice soft.

Rias, determined, didn't hesitate. She stepped forward and kissed him, her hands gently holding Kaito's face. The kiss was brief but full of emotion and support.

The energy around them seemed to increase, as if the simple gesture had renewed their strength. Rias stepped back slightly, looking into Kaito's eyes.

"Let's finish this," Rias said, her voice firm and full of conviction.

Kaito nodded, feeling stronger and more determined than ever. He turned to face Riser, ready for the final battle. Riser, seeing the scene, was furious, his hands glowing with intense flames as he prepared to attack.

"You will regret challenging me," Riser growled, his voice filled with hatred.
