CH 2

*beep* *beep* the high-pitched noise from the alarm clock continues to ring dragging me out of my peaceful dreams.

I throw blankets over my head, trying to drown out the cursed noise that wakes me from my slumber every morning.

*beep* *beep*" ughhh, why?" I reach out and turn off the alarm and sit up on my bed tossing the blankets to the side of the bed as I rub my tired eyes.

' I knew it was a bad idea to stay up so late and watch anime. ' I get up and head to the bathroom avoiding the mess that is my room it is cluttered with Manga and anime figures along with trash and empty bottles laying about and a few katanas hanging up on my wall.

' Yikes, it might be about time I clean my room. ' I think to myself looking at the mess that is my room as I head to the shower, getting ready for another day of school.

Once I was done taking a shower and got dressed, I headed to the dining room following the smell of delicious food.

Upon walking in the dining room, you could see a small red eastern dragon about one meter long flying about the kitchen using magic to control the pots and pans as it cooks.

*yawn* I let out a loud yawn and stretch as i head for the dining table take a seat at the table as the dragon finishes cooking my breakfast.

"So, Mushu what's for breakfast." I ask the small dragon. Mushu is a dragon that mother gave to me as a pet for my birthday when I was just seven years old, and he has become a very important family member to me.

Mushu begins to plate the food and float them over to the table. " Nothing fancy Hikari, just rice balls, miso soup, tempura shrimp, and some steamed fish." He flew over and wraps around my body, resting his head on my shoulder.

" Thanks, Mushu as always. Your food is great, thank you."

" You're welcome, my lady," he replies in a polite tone. And with that, I begin to eat my meal, leaving not even crumbs behind. He makes the best food. Since mom went back to heaven and my dad lives in Tokyo, Mushu is the only company I have while I am here in kouh looking after the devils.

(Author note- not the biblical heaven but the Shinto heaven.) 

I named him after a funny little dragon from a movie I watched when I was a child. he isn't actually that small he just shrinks his size to make living here easier.

Once I was done, I got up and put the dishes in the sink before leaving to head to kouh. I was on my way to kouh Academy until I came across a strange sight. It was Matsuda and Motohama standing still with gobsmacked expressions on their faces.

'Weird wonder what happened to those guys' I wave as I call out to them."Matsuda motohama, what's up with you guys it looks like you just saw something impossible."

"I-i-i-issei" is all he manages to say.

" What about issei. " i ask now curious.

"He has a GIRLFRIEND," he yells out the last part and I gain the same expression as them. He got a girlfriend impossible issei of all people?

I need to check this out. It was easy to find him and his girlfriend. I just had to follow the trail of shocked faces. I enter the classroom, and I see her. Issei's girlfriend she has a cute face with purple eyes and long dark hair. even if his girlfriend was trying to hide her energy it was easy to tell that she was a fallen angel.

'So the fallen angel's got to him first, or is this what the devils want but why?' I scratch my head as I am confused as to what the devils plans are. If you want to recruit him, you can just ask, and if he says no, erase his memories.

I'll probably need to spend a good part of my day watching him.

"Hikari" issei calls out to me as he approaches me with his girlfriend.

" Issei what's up. " I ask in a nonchalant manner as i set my stuff on my desk.

"I just wanted to introduce you to my girlfriend. This is Yuma she from another school not too far from here." Says issei with a goofy smile on his face.

I nod my head. "Nice to meet you, Yuma."

Yuma reaches her hand out to me." Nice to meet you h-h-hi..."

"Hikari," I say bluntly

"That's right, sorry, I'm having trouble learning all these new names." She says with a fake blush on her face.

'Well, at least she has the acting down that's a fallen angel for you ' Still, it doesn't make sense as to why devils would let a fallen angel be this close to them. Why don't they take action or is it.

' Don't tell me she plans on turning him into a devil after he is killed by the fallen. ''Wow, that's low. well, I wouldn't expect much from devils in the first place.' *sigh* ' great more work for me. ' 

As the school day passed, I learned that issei will be having his date tomorrow. So I am free for the rest of today after school.

' I could go to the store and get the latest volume of the Manga I was reading. They left me on such a cliffhanger that I need to know what happens next.' With that decided the school hours passed by fairly quickly.

It was annoying though hearing issei brag about his so-called girlfriend all day. After school ended, I made my way into town going to the shopping district heading inside the shop. As soon as I stepped in, I felt the presence of a fallen angel.

' a fallen, here? ' What business does a fallen have at a bookstore. 

I walked inside to check and see who it was. I come across a small petite blond girl with twin tails wearing a goth Lolita dress.' Huh, so that's the fallen. I wonder how many of them there are exactly. Maybe I could get some information out of this one. ' I think to myself as I go to the shelf where the manga I want is and see that it is sold out.

' Huh, sold out. Are you kidding me. ' I go to the shopkeeper and asked if he had any more for sale in the back, and he said he just sold the last one to the blonde haired Loli.

' Goddammit, I just want to know what happens next. ' I start to follow the fallen angel as she walks out of the store. She stops by a few shops as she finally stops at the park to sit down and read.

I go and sit behind her, concealing my Prescence so she doesn't sense me. a few minutes pass like this with me reading behind her shoulder. ' Oh, so that's what happens next. ' Without realizing it I ended up focusing on the manga forgetting why I was there in the first place.

The fallen goes to turn to the next page, but a hand from behind her flips it back to the previous page. " Hold on, I wasn't done reading that last page. " Says a voice, alerting her of a presence behind her.

"What?" she snaps her head to look at who is behind her. She sees a beautiful sixteen-year-old girl with short black hair and orange eyes wearing the kouh Academy uniform. She attempts to get up, but a hand on her shoulder is stopping her from moving.

"Who are you and what do you want" Asks the fallen with a nervous tone as it is really difficult to stay unnoticed for that long while being so close so whoever this is she isn't a match for them.

"Relax, I'm not goanna harm you if I wanted to you would be dead and not even notice it" I say, trying to relax the fallen angel, which didn't help much as she just becomes more nervous and scared.

"I guess you're right, so who are you? Are you a devil? " She asks me looking at my uniform.

" hahaha no. Don't worry, I'm not with the devils. You could say I'm neutral. " I say as I release my hold on her as she is much more relaxed now.

" Neutral, huh? I find that hard to believe. So, what is it you want from me seeing as you approached me you want something right. "

I nod my head to her. " Simple two things," I say as I hold up two of my fingers.

" The first is information."

" And what would be the second. " She asks in a worried tone, unsure of what my other demand would be.

I point at the manga in her lap. " That Manga, I have been waiting for weeks for it to release, and you got the last one." She looks at me with a dumbfounded expression on her face.

'Really, that's it.' She thinks to herself. She grabs the manga off her lap and hesitantly hands it to me. *sigh* " I was really looking forward to reading that, anyways what information do you want. " she asks the last part seriously obviously not comfortable with giving away information.

I grab the book from her and set it to the side. " it is nothing too serious. All I know is that you fallen are getting more active over these past few days, especially since that fallen angel will be killing issei soon. I just want to know what you guys are up to."

" Oh, raynare. " she says by mistake as she quickly covers her mouth.

" raynare, so that is her name. What about you? " I ask as I release some of my aura, scaring her a bit. " mittelt. " she says quietly.

" Alright mittelt, this is how it is going to go if you want to live okay. you provide me up to date information on the fallen from activities, numbers, connections, and anything you can get your hands on understand. "

mittelt nods her head up down. " Yes, yes, I understand. " Said mittelt nervously with fear in her voice.

So for the next half hour I questioned her about her group and why they are here in kouh. I got a good bit of information from her. From what I was told they were pretty much dragged out of Grigori by a high ranking fallen to serve under by the name of kokabiel. kokabiel currently has mittelt and her group acting as scouts to get a lay out of kouh and get information on the two devil heirs while eliminating any potential threats like issei. They, however, did not want to, so they plan on doing a ritual to gain more power to go against him with raynare being the leader of their group. It was a very productive day overall. I also got mittlet to act as a contact for me to keep me updated on their side. Of course, it wasn't for free. I promised if she did this, I would help her out.

Pov- mittlet

' Who was that person she said she was there to just watch over kouh, but she isn't a devil.'

" Ahhh, we are already doing something that is dangerous, so I don't think it was a bad Idea to ask for help from her in return. it didn't seem like she had any hostile intentions towards us fallen, and I can tell from that encounter i had with her that she is strong. ''

' I just hope I didn't make the wrong decision. ' She thinks to herself as she enters the abandoned church.
