Chapter 15

Title: Training...

….

Haruto just waves off his feat of strength by simply saying. "So… anyway… we should start going to the cabin."

As he says that he claps a couple of times as a smile appears on his face. "C'mon now let's go, time waits for no one."

Issei, Kiba, and Koneko grab their bags and start walking up the mountain. Rias chuckles at this slightly as she sees Issei struggling. 

Haruto smiles at this slightly, after that he gets close to the three girls (Rias, Akeno, and Asia). When he gets up close he snaps his finger and a dark circle appears below him. "Welp, I am a mage. So you can't expect me to walk up such a high mountain. I am like  a glass canon…"

As he says that the girls look at him suspiciously. They don't trust him at all when he says that. He did just casually pull up a bag that only Koneko can carry. Even she will have extreme difficulties doing it as casually as Haruto did, so casually with one hand.

At this time in the underworld, a red-haired satan looks at his wife/maid and asks her. "What is the Irregular Magician up to now… with him pulling this move right now… he is putting everyone he loves in danger. Especially with the Olympic Gods being so enraged at him."

Grayfia has a calm look on her face as she hears that. The situation with the Olympic Gods and Haruto is beyond just complicated. While the Olympic Gods haven't attacked the Abyss Auction… Haruto has definitely been very aggressive against Zeus and his Olympic Faction.

"But what would the intentions of someone like him be by interfering in the engagement between Rias and Riser?" Asks Sirzechs to himself, as even he isn't sure about that. Haruto is already allied with the three Biblical factions. A relationship with Rias would be useless to him. Also, he knows better than to assume that he fell in love with her. Haruto has had divine beauties throw themselves at him, and many goddesses of love and beauty do so too… he never even cast a second glance at them as he considered them… boring.

'What is he thinking… maybe I should ask Ajuka about this. He could always get under Haruto's skin.' Contemplates Sirzechs.

Back at the training camp, Haruto was looking at Akeno as she explained magic to Issei and Asia. The latter even shows some talent in magic, which is still 1000x better than Issei who has less mana than the average human.

After the short lesson, Akeno looks at Haruto and says. "What about you Haruto? You are called the Irregular Magician, and you are rumored to be good at magic."

Haruto shrugs his shoulders at that. "Well, I guess I am pretty good at magic."

Haruto goes towards the table with a glass of water in it. He points his finger at the glass and…

BOOOM!

Suddenly out of nowhere the whole room is covered in ice with a giant ice spike at where the glass of water was, Haruto then waves his hand once more and the giant ice spike turns into mist. Even Akeno is shocked at this as she can feel Haruto's mana moving around in such a controlled manner that it seemed like he didn't waste any mana in this. It almost feels like the mana itself is alive as it moved around her.

"When you can do that then we can start the next stage of training." Says Haruto, not explaining how he did it. "Next time we will start training on how to handle strange abysmal creatures."  

'That went from zero to hundred real quick… even I can't do that and he expects Asia and Issei to do it. He has his standards way too high when teaching. Also abysmal creatures? What even are those.' Akeno cringes at this a little. "Well… I guess it's better if I continue to take care of their training. You could later help them learn some of the very, very basic stuff."

"Well that is basic stiff, how can one hope to start his training in abyssal magic and terror magic."Haruto just shrugs at that and goes towards Rias. To him, she is way more fun than teaching Issei and Asia. After all, one only has to appear incompetent at something that people ask him to do, and then they won't let you do it and won't ask again. It is an excuse that Haruto uses a lot...

Rias was in her room strategizing her battle against Riser when she hears two gentle knocks on her door.

Knock! Knock!....

"Come in." Calls out Rias. As she sees Haruto open the door and has a  nonchalant smile on his face.

"Those reading glasses suit you." Comments Haruto as he sees Rias wearing reading glasses, though they both know that she doesn't need them at all, and at most, they are only for aesthetic purposes.

"Thanks, I usually wear them to get into the mood." Says Rias as she pushes some papers away to the side, making room for her to lean her elbows on the table and then lean her head on her palms.  "Tell me Haru… what are the chances of my peerage winning against Riser?"

"15-20%." Haruto doesn't even need to contemplate this question as he answers. "If you put your all into it then it's 50%... if I helped you and let you borrow one of my equipment… then the chances of you winning are 100%."

Rias is a little distraught by the results in the beginning, but later on when Haru said that she could defeat Riser 100%... and he truly did believe that. He has countless items on his personal stock, more than a dozen of them could one-shot him out of existence. A dozen more could defeat him, and some were even a straight-out counter against Riser.

In the end, Rias has a complicated look on her face as she can't help but thank Haruto again. "Thank you for this… I appreciate it… the Gremory Fami-"

"I didn't do it for your family." States Haruto, his eyes calm like the sky. But he still has a smile on his face. This shocks Rias to the core and her face lights up like a tomato, Haruto notices this and decides to put the final nail in the metaphorical coffin by saying. "I did it for you… Rias."

Immediately Rias covers her face out of embarrassment by using her hands. Haruto smiles at this as he in the end. 'Well, not really but it's the words that she believes that matter. Not the thoughts behind it.'

Haruto just gets close to Rias and clasps her chin, directing her blue eyes to look at his. "Rias, don't worry about such useless things. You will win and that is all there is no it. Luck and Fate are on your side…"

As he says the last part, Rias is confused by what he means by that. But Haruto doesn't elaborate at all. So he just waved his hand and a magic circle appeared. Slowly a nail as big as his palm comes out of the circle and Haruto takes a hold of it. Rias was immediately unnerved as she looked at the nail. But even she didn't know why, because she has never felt something like this. The nail feels dangerous to her. Haruto sees Rias's nervous look on her face as he says.

"This is your key to a perfect victory Rias…"
