Chapter 10: Pursue

Ayden opened his eye. He's fully aware what happened just now.

"So how was it? " asked Heliodorus

"It's weird and somehow I feels something fill up my emptiness. " replied Ayden.

"Well whatever. Imagine your soul left your body,make it lighter." said Heliodorus

"Okay. " replied Ayden.

   Ayden started to do as Heliodorus said. Ayden take a deep breath and slowly exhale. His body were trembling. A intimidating but not really be able notice by others started to flowing out. Ayden's sclera become black and his pupil were glowing.

  A blue electric flow in his vein. The butterfly crest mark on Ayden's back glow brightly. Fire around him from red to blue colour.

  Nyx has taken control 75% of Ayden's body. Ayden only able to see and talk. That's mean the ritual is perfect because the spirit able to control his body.

"Nice, that's it you can go back now spirit. The summoning were perfect" said Heliodorus.

  Ayden return to his normal state. Ayden decided to go to the guest room to sleep.

  It was around midnight, someone knocked on Ayden's door. When he opened the door. It was one of the maid. She told that the king Vulcan in his critical health state. Ayden run and went to check on King Vulcan.

"Your highness! " shouted Ayden. He sat  beside King Vulcan's bed.

"Ah.. Young boy. I think I'll be going now. Thank you for taking responsibility over my job. Please take back all the land that we lost. Now I officially announce you as the new King . Vulcan III. All the people in this room shall no have any objection and will become the witness. " said Vulcan II.

King Vulcan blow his final breath and slowly shut his eye. Vulcan II passed away.

  The next day, Ayden was announced to be the new king and everyone in the main town doesn't object it. They all already lose hope and most of them already prepared to emigrate to other country.

  Ayden went to King Vulcan's funeral. The coffin was buried later they were cage with a mortsafe to prevent it stolen by researcher for education and research purposes.

  During the night , Ayden was sitting at a balcony in the castle. Thinking about his family whereabouts.

"What are you thinking about?" Nyx's voices came from Ayden's head.

"Nothing. It's just my family. " Ayden replied.

"I see. " Nyx replied.

  All the servants in the castle were wandering around. Going to their bed and call it a day. Suddenly ice spike came from out of nowhere stab them. They died instantly because the icicle pierced their vital organ. Heliodorus and his mage research partner were doing some experiment in the basement. Someone throw a trident and it shattered the door into pieces. Heliodorus took his want and beam fire spark at the guy who were trying to retrieve his trident. But he reflect them with his bare hand. That man saw a flask of water. He took it and the water turn into trident and broke the flask. He throw it at Heliodorus. Heliodorus dodged it but unfortunately it pierced his research partner.

Heliodorus decide to run and went to Ayden since he got special class spirit. As he running towards the stairs. His leg were pierced by icicle. He walk unbalancely. When he started climbing the stair the man coming towards him. He break and hold one of the ice and turn it into harpoon. He shot Heliodorus with the harpoon in the head. Heliodorus died.

"Did you hear it? " asked Nyx to Ayden.

"Hear what? " asked Ayden back.

  There was icicle flew towards Ayden. Nyx quickly swapped with Ayden and he hold a torch's fire near him and changed it into small swords. He reflect the ice.

  There is a guy with white hair, white long eyelashes and blue eye. He look at Ayden and said. 

"Ha so you're the king? Seems you are also a spirit user since your eye were like that. " he approach Ayden and took his trident. Pointing at Ayden.

"I heard that your country joining the Royal Raiding. Maybe you should give up since I'm going to win anyway. Don't sacrifice yourself over this small piece of land. Oh pardon my intrusion. Maybe I shall introduce myself. Name was given.. You know what nevermind. Just call me by my title. Ullr. My class is Hunter. " Ullr introduced himself as he threw his trident at Ayden.

  Ayden create more knife from fire and threw it at Ullr. It hit Ullr's arm and scratched it. Ullr started bleeding. Ullr and Ayden running towards  each other. Ayden created hook swords while Ullr try to pierce Ayden with his trident. Ayden hooked Ullr's trident and pull it to another way. He try hook Ullr's eye out but Ullr spin his trident and knock one of Ayden's hook swords away. Ayden jump to the back and create more small knife from fire. He threw one of them and it sliced the upper part of his ring finger.

"Arghh, damn it. Are you a damn assassin class. " groaned Ullr in pain.

"I got no choice but to retreat. I'll remember you. Vulcan argh!! " shouted Ullr as he jump off the castle and run away.

  Ayden sat down and sighed.

"I'm glad that I did not died. " relieved Ayden.
