The Creature Inside The Egg

A/N: This is the bonus chapter for the 10 power stones this week!

===========================================

Kalle felt so much power filling up his body that he even thought of challenging the slime dungeon for the third time.

But he quickly shelved the idea as he knew that what he felt right now was only a temporary boost of confidence from having his body suddenly gaining a noticeable improvement.

Kalle was about to leave the legacy dungeon when he remembered that there was one last thing that he needed to do.

Kalle walked up to the middle of the circular room and stroked the silvery blue egg gently.

"I hope you hatch soon, little one. I can't wait to see you."

Kalle expected nothing would happen as he was about to walk away from the egg.

However, he suddenly stopped in his tracks when he saw the egg vibrate when he just finished speaking to it.

"Did you just move!?"

When Kalle talked to the egg again, the egg shook once more, this time harder than before as if to show that it could really hear Kalle's voice.

"Whoa! That's cool!" Kalle exclaimed loudly as he stared at the egg as big as his upper body.

When the egg heard that, the egg did more than just vibrate as it started tilting its body in Kalle's direction.

It had failed before when it tried to tilt away, but this time, with more mana it had gathered, it had more strength and it succeeded in rolling towards Kalle's direction.

"Careful little one! You might hatch prematurely!"

Kalle said as he caught the rolling egg and put it in his hands.

Kalle remembered the egg was quite heavy before, but now, Kalle struggled to lift it up even with his improved strength from the monster cores.

To prevent the egg from falling from his hands, Kalle used basic body enhancement and used it on his arms.

Finally, Kalle was able to hold the egg properly and bring it right in front of his head.

"You're a feisty little one, aren't you? Are you that excited to hatch?"

To answer Kalle's question, the egg once again tilted its body, this time doing it slowly as it gently touched Kalle's head with the top part of the eggshell.

Even though the creature inside the huge egg hasn't hatched yet, Kalle could feel the huge spirit that it had to live in the world.

When his head touched the eggshell, Kalle could feel the eggshell exude an aura of excitement.

He didn't know how to explain it, but Kalle just felt it from the fact that the mana going inside the egg was increasing more and more with each passing second.

Hence when Kalle felt the amount of mana going inside the egg was overfilling the egg, he put the egg back down and cheered on it.

"Come on little one! You can do it!"

Hearing Kalle's voice and feeling the encouragement from it, the egg shook hard. Harder than it ever did.

It had absorbed so much mana now that it had much or less absorbed the same amount that Kalle felt before the goblin dungeon spawned right in the middle of the road.

The egg finally stopped absorbing mana after that, but it didn't stop its struggle to break away from the confines of its eggshell.

From shaking hard, the silvery blue egg now straight up rolled itself everywhere as it kicked the egg from the inside to open the eggshells up.

Kalle was worried at first as he wanted to pick up the egg once again so that it wouldn't crash onto the ground.

However, remembering that the creature inside the egg literally needed to break the egg open to get out, Kalle just let it do whatever it wanted to do.

'Besides, being able to move that much, that means the little one was more than ready to move its own body.'

The egg continued tossing and turning everywhere until Kalle finally heard a loud crack coming from the egg.

He had already kept his eyes on the egg so far and as soon as he heard the cracking sound, Kalle instantly found out what had caused it.

From the lower half of the egg, two small legs had successfully broken out of the egg shell and now the egg had two feet propping it up.

Kalle tried to guess what kind of creature was inside the egg from the two feet that had come out of the eggshell, but remembering that the world was changing and literally anything could happen, Kalle decided to just wait for the creature to reveal itself.

Fortunately, he didn't have to wait for long for the creature to completely break free from the egg.

When its legs gained freedom, the creature wasted no time using them right away and started running around the circular room.

Of course, due to the egg having no eyes to see its surroundings, the two feet just brought it running all over the place and crashing onto the stone walls of the legacy dungeon.

Seeing how energetic the egg was, Kalle just smiled and enjoyed the small entertainment that he got after having to deal with little bouncy vile creatures.

He only moved when the egg neared the opened golden portal that led to the slime dungeon.

Whatever the creature inside the egg was, Kalle didn't want it to fall victim to the damned slimes.

Finally, after crashing onto several more stone walls, another cracking sound was heard from the egg.

This time, it was a series of cracking noises instead of just one.

The huge silvery blue egg that could fit a human baby inside it finally broke apart into pieces as it revealed the creature that had been very eager to meet Kalle even when it had only heard his voice.

Kalle had a few guesses before. But when he actually saw what creature was inside the egg, Kalle couldn't help but stare at the creature in awe.

Just like him, the creature had 4 limbs. But the creature had claws on the tips of its limbs and looked slightly intimidating albeit it had just been born.

And instead of skins covering its body, the little creature the size of a 6-month-old baby had scales protecting its body. Silvery blue scales to be exact. The same color as Kalle's staff.

With a pair of silver wings on the side of its body, the creature looked even bigger than a human's toddler.

Although its body was very small right now and the fangs on its mouth didn't look to be intimidating, Kalle could still see the majesticness the 1-second-old creature had.

Because what had just hatched from the egg was none other than the baby of a silver dragon.
