Conquering The Dungeon (1)

Along with the creation of the dispel spell, all the dark mana in Kalle's body had also been dispelled.

With all the dark mana in his body dispelled, Kalle now could move his own body freely once more.

The thought about running away still remained in his mind considering he still didn't know about all the spells the goblin mage was capable of casting.

However, now that Kalle could think properly, assess the situation with calmness, and have confidence in his own strength, he weighed his options once more.

Even if he did run away, he wouldn't be able to do it forever since there were invisible walls on the forest's edge.

He also couldn't exit the dungeon either without clearing it or using certain tools that he didn't have right now.

The only thing that he had in his inventory was the egg that was named Gilgamesh's gift.

The only option that he had was to fight and defeat the goblins.

He still had the option to run away for a while to know the goblin mage better and learn its spell and he had seriously considered it.

However, after another feeling, one that he had been feeling so far after his goblins died, had changed, Kalle decided to change his strategy.

Just to make sure, he asked the staff, 'Staff does this feeling mean….'

'Yes, that means…'

After getting the answer from the staff that confirmed his guess, his conviction then became firm and complete.

Gripping the staff tight, Kalle used basic body enhancement on his feet, activated the leap skill, and jumped forward toward the two goblins.

With the double enhancement on his feet, Kalle flew the distance easily and instantly arrived in front of the two goblins.

The two goblins were caught off guard, especially the goblin mage as it was its first time ever seeing the skill.

The goblin warrior was surprised, but not for long as it activated its own leap skill and enchant weapon before meeting Kalle right after he landed and lost his momentum.

Seeing he was greeted with a wooden club aimed towards his face, Kalle didn't waste a single second as he moved the basic body enhancement from his feet to his hands and also activated enchant weapon skill.

With the basic body enhancement skill giving inhuman powers to his hands and the enchant weapon powering up his silver staff, Kalle confidently met the wooden club as he swung his own staff toward the wooden club.

Just as he had expected, his own power wasn't something to be underestimated and he should trust more in it.

Without giving him much trouble or resistance, the wooden club broke apart to pieces as his silver staff passed through it as easily as stomping on a raw egg.

The goblin warrior quickly used its quick reflex to move its head backward. 

It had forgotten for a moment how strong Kalle actually was and it was only able to go against Kalle toe-to-toe before due to its berserk skill that was on cooldown.

The goblin warrior was on the verge of using its leap skill to dodge away as fast as possible due to its love of life and it didn't want to die.

However, remembering the goblin mage was directly behind it, the goblin warrior gritted its teeth as it threw away the thought of running away.

Instead, the goblin warrior planted its feet on the ground and held its ground, ready to take on any attacks Kalle planned on delivering to them.

Fortunately for the goblin warrior, the goblin mage also realized the danger that they were currently in.

The goblin mage then began casting another spell and dark mana began to gather once again towards the pentagram on its staff.

Kalle instantly noticed the appearance of dark mana and he was ready to charge in and stop whatever the goblin mage was trying to do.

However, different from before when the spell took quite some time to manifest, this certain spell manifested almost instantly.

The goblin mage pounded his staff onto the ground and the dark mana that it had gathered scattered everywhere around it from about 1 meter radius.

It hit Kalle without him being able to do anything and Kalle soon found dark mana once again latching onto his body.

This time, instead of weakening his whole body, the dark mana stuck itself to Kalle's eyes and blinded him.

Kalle only felt panic for a split second as he now remembered that he had a new spell that could deal with it.

"Dispel!" Kalle shouted out loud and activated his spell.

By simply casting the spell, the mana in Kalle's body moved on its own as it pushed away the dark mana invading Kalle's eyes.

Without Kalle having to manually move them and only telling them where to go, the dark mana in his eyes was soon kicked out and Kalle regained his sight.

He gained his sight back only to see that the goblin mage and the goblin warrior had moved and gained some distance away from him.

What greeted him next was a series of fireballs thrown by the goblin mage as it tried to predict where Kalle would be going next.

The goblin mage forced Kalle to continuously use the leap skill, jumping away as soon as he landed to avoid being hit by the fireball that could easily torch him.

But when the fireballs finally stopped coming, Kalle once again saw the goblin mage try to cast the same spell as before that weakened him greatly.

He once again saw visible dark mana gathering above the goblin mage's head as it formed another pentagram.

Seeing that, Kalle knew that he couldn't waste any more time.

He had to deal with the two goblins fast before he was forced to use the dispel spell multiple times, which cost quite a bit of mana as the spell moved all the mana inside his body to kick away the dark mana latching onto him.

He would lose in a battle of attrition as the moment he lost all his mana, he would become an ordinary human with a fancy-looking staff in his hand.
