Status Plate

Wow! That was so much fun I didn't think a battle to death was actually that much fun. It changes my opinion to all the battle junkie in the world from muscle for brain to thriller seeker. I have been missing out all this fun. I lost so much blood but the only think on my mind is more fighting. I am a bona fide battle junkie now. Edward thought.

Edward trembling in excitement, his eyes bloodshot, punching right and left. He can't contain his excitement and still feeling giddy from all the blood lost he didn't even hear the announcement at all until a treasure chest pop up in front of him.

The chest is a wooden box with the black intricate pattern and spherical white diamond painting the same painting he saw in the door.

Edward looked at the box curiously, feeling the texture of the chest and trying to guess it's content by shaking it. When he failed to find any clue he touch the chest carefully, and opens it. The content of the box is a silver plate, and a black knuckle duster. Edward eyes couldn't look away from the piece of Master piece in the form of weapon of violence.

He took the knuckle duster and holding it like the most precious thing in the world. He equip it slowly and carefully. It fits his hand perfectly like it was made just for him. He heard a voice in his hand explaining his new weapon as he equip it.

Only after satisfied with reading the description of his new weapon did Edward looked at the blank silver plate. He took it with his bloodied hand. But as his hand touched the plate, it suddenly absorbs his blood and stated to change.

The plate show him writings he didn't know. It looks like a squirming worm, but strangely he could understand them. It shows his name, job, affiliation, level, unallocated status, and basic status. He looked carefully and realized there's new feature that has shown up. It showed him the amount of money he own.

"That's why I haven't seen money. The currency in this world is in the form of debit card. This thing is an identity and some kind of debit card in a single package, but why is it already 500 gold. I didn't remember filling it before? f*ck so many questions but no answer better stop thinking before my head became bald." Edward said.

Edward looked around and saw a door. It was a simple door with white color and golden handle. He didn't open the door immediately he searched the cave to look something new but after an hour of looking around and nothing to find. Edward decided to stop the search and open the door.

At the outskirt of Refia. In front of a crowded cave.

Edward found himself looking at the cave he was in just a moment ago and amazed by all his experience since he entered the cave.

Edward mused, Definitely going back here again. The battle is just amazing. I wonder if can do it one more time. Well how about a quick look try to see it for myself.

Edward started to join the line once again. People are looking strangely at him, but stay silent. Standing at the back of the line, Edward wait with a face full of expectations of the fun that just an hour away waiting for him.

"Why did you line up Ed? Haven't you done with the trial? Don't tell me you failed? But you're still alive and kicking. Eris looks puzzled.

Anyway Ed, here take the pill. It will make you feel better. Your face looks pale now, so swallow it down and let's go back." Eris said.

Eris shows up and offer him a pill. It was round pill with various colors like a rainbow. If he didn't know that it was medicine, he certainly thinks it was some kind of poison.

It was strange Edward certain he was fine. Sure, he was low on the blood, but aside from that everything is okay. Well except for people suddenly multiplying ten times over.

"Why everyone multiplying all of a sudden, is this some kind of trick? Hey teach me too? Don't just left me behind. I want to join the party too" Edward said.

Edward began to say strange thing. He entered strange state, his body swaying left and right, his vision became blurry and purple spots appear on body.

"Right! Right! The party started tonight so, you can sleep for now". Eris said as she forcefully feed him the rainbow colored pill.

That was the last thing Edward heard before he falls unconscious.

At Refia city. Inside a crowded tavern.

Edward had the weirdest dream ever. He was inside a music concert where the singer is a dragon, the guitarist is a cat, and the drummer is a turtle, but the worst thing about this dream was that aside from the band all the participants are turnips.

When Edward wake up he found himself on the bed inside an empty room. He looked left and right trying to find out the place he was in. Edward heard people shouting and laughing outside. He came out and saw people are drinking, and singing downstairs.

"What is happening here? Why am I here? The last thing I remember was fighting an adult version of imp? Why am I inside a bar now?" Edward question himself.

To get the answer, Edward went downstairs to make sense of the situation. He saw Eris with a cat girl in a trying to complete who can drink more. The competition is over as the beast man fall over crowning Eris as the stronger party.

"Eris what is going on her? Why am I sleeping on bed while you having all.

"Did you forget this is party to celebrate your success on completing the trial. You have gotten the status card right! That means this party on you. Eris said as she drank another glass of beer.

Why do I have to pay for the party that I didn't even join? Edward complained.

"Well you're sleeping like a baby on our way here so, while waiting for you to wake up I put you on the room upstairs so, you can enjoy the party while sleeping. Anyway here drink this beer and forget all the complicated thing. Eris explained while forcefully pour beer down to Edward throat.

Eris force Edward to drink until he couldn't think wasted away. At the end of the party Eris suddenly made an important announcement.

Tomorrow Me, and Ed, will go on our merry way to frontier. We are gonna make a storm over, there and make people singing praises of our exploit.

Everyone on the bar suddenly sober up for but after looking at Eris smiling face nod down in understanding and continuing with the drinking party. They drink down their alcohol with even more vigor than before making the second wave of the party last until dawn.

Edward felt a headache. He opened his eyes, and saw people sprawled all over the bar. A bear man hugging a muscular human, an elf sleeping on the desk, only dwarfs seems fine as they were still drinking beer while laughing.

He tried to stand but failed. His headache is killing him. Only after a few more try that he manages to stand up l. Edward tried to look after Eris and found her drinking with a dwarf. He walked very carefully like a newborn baby taking his first step.

"Eris is it true that we are going to Frontier? Why didn't you tell? Edward asked.

"A ha ha you look funny Ed. Don't worry too much, it's going to be fun. Think of all the demons we will slaughter on the Frontier. it will be a blast." Eris said.

When Edward heard the word demon he suddenly asked Eris spontaneously.

"Will there be a lot of demons? Will we fight over there a lot?"

"Of course it's frontier we are talking about there's so much battle that you're practically Will be drowned in it". Eris explained while smiling.

Edward mouth curled and said enthusiastically.

"Than I am in."
