The bright light of the basement lock-up erased any hint of shadows on the walls. Seung lay on the narrow bed, staring up at the perfectly fine ceiling, deep in thought. The silence was only broken by the faint creak of the door as it opened. Seung's eyes shifted towards the source of the noise, his body tense but calm as Kim Seijin stepped into the room.
Seijin stood at the entrance, his face unreadable, though there was an attempt at a smile. "I have a guess to make," he said, his voice low but carrying a weight. "I'm the one you've been thinking about, right?"
Seung chuckled softly, a dry humor in his tone. "Guess conscience really is that strong." He sat up on the edge of the bed, keeping his gaze on Seijin, feeling the familiar tension between them, though they had yet to truly confront it.
