A bitter truth
Seung's blade sliced through the air, aiming for the exposed neck of the Blood Demon, whose eyes were wide with terror. But just as the steel was about to make contact, a figure materialized out of nowhere, positioning itself between Seung and his target.
A deep red mist coiled around the scene, distorting Seung's vision. His mind raced, struggling to comprehend the sudden turn of events.
'What the hell is this?' he thought, his grip tightening on the hilt of his dagger.
The figure raised an arm, and the dagger struck it with a sharp clang, as if it had hit solid metal. Seung felt the reverberation all the way up his arm, the shock forcing him to loosen his grip. He tried to hold on, but a stronger force compelled him to release the weapon.
