Weakness (16)

[G]: "Seriously, what's your problem? Do I look like a danger to you? A weak flower made me faint. I'm not even a thread to you, so go bother the other guys from here.

George said as he runs to try to get cover over something, or just have someone take over this weird guy.

[LK]: "Indeed you are… weak!"

George was throwing some garbage he finds from the debris of the attacks.

[LK]: "Stop throwing stupid things at me and stay still."

{G}: 'I'd really love to have a chair or a table to protect from, but this place is against normal things. But what about that room?'

[G]: "Yea, to let you shoot me? No thank you! So, leave me alone… Please!"

Another shot was missed, above his left shoulder and he find random kitchen items to throw to get some space between him and that stranger.

[LK]: "You don't really know? Uhhh!"

Eventually George stumbles upon the place what was like a room where he was with Rowena and talked about the combat test with that plant when he came to that facility. It took some time while running for his life to come across that place, because he had access only to the first floor and thanks to the security system what somehow was still kicking, it redirected him while he was running in circles in that place. He arrived at that place and pressed a button to rise the room including with its amenities and burnt the access point. As the device was burnt, George was smoked by the circuited and started couching besides the smoke from the attack of the plant and of this guy but got the opportunity and hid under the table in a dark spot with enough escapes. One additional thing what happened after George destroyed the device was the alarm what could be heard from that floor. Literally the alarm told the "predator" what was chasing George, his location, and that king came rushing and was met with a locked room what he didn't recognized from his previews chase. Cautiously walks in the dark room and looked for hiding spots as he didn't know why he would lock himself up. The room is dark and full of dust and there is a red alarm what beeps and tells everyone in the region that there is a breech in the facility.

The chaser walks up slowly and checks an obvious spot in the left of the room from the side he came. George wasn't there as he was right in the middle of that room. In that chaos, the next thing, the perturbator did was checking the other corner, not noticing that there was a space under the table with George in it. That lost king still failed to find him after every corner, this gave the chance to George of escaping that room while that guy was still searching for him.

Returning to Rowena and the team from the experiment team. They were holding the plant up with a new beta technology what has a possibility of working as intended, but with a lower impact, or not working at all, or making the plant even stronger.

The plant was taking down a few members of the experiment team and some of the bodyguards, it was slow the approach they had, but it was better than nothing. The bullets were effective in some way, it sucked that it made it stronger, but they were taking the risk. After a thousand or so,

[R]: "Are you good?

[J]: "Yes, but… Auch… I was hit, and there are some spikes on me."

[R]: "Good, are you able to walk?"

[J]: "More or less."

[R]: "Then I'll tend your wounds and have the other guys take care of you."

[J]: "Thank you!"

Rowena gathered the men to have a talk with them.

[R]: "Ok guys, I know the higher ups are not here and we don't have access to the network, so I'll take the lead. So right now, it's our top priority to help everyone and check the damages and not have anything else from the experiments broke. If it breaks you know what it means, a danger for everyone here, so check for the well-being of the people and then go secure the prototypes. Also a few men come with me, I have a suspicion that this is not the only problem here."

Back to our protagonist, George was running left and right, he was not looking behind him, just wanted to escape that man as he didn't know much about him. The only though he was having was leaving that place and getting in a secure place. Not wanting to admit, he was scared, George only kept running and running. He left the building and ran. He was not fining anyone in the courtyard, and he was seeing only debris, dust, explosions. In the middle of all of that, he was too panicked to hear everything around him, like gunshots.

As he left the place, he didn't want to go on the road, as he would be easily discovered if that man chose to pursue him. The only logical thing was to go off-road where the trees where densely populated, and the sun wasn't so keen on showing its light on the environment.

He had a rough time going through the trees and running. Sometimes he was close to hit the tress face-first. He got dirt up on his clothes, and vines and all of the nasty and dirty parts from the average closed up forest, it didn't matter as long as he was safe.

Eventually after not long, around 15 or so minutes later, the vegetation wasn't as dense as it was and he felt safer and stopped and was met with a beautiful image in front of him, a lake, with some tall trees, some singing birds, some rabbits, some deer, and something what sounded like a waterfall. George found some berries and stopped to regain some of his stamina. He was exhausted after all that chaos.

George was thinking of trying to catch some fish to put a stop to his starvation as they were surprisingly active and gave the feeling that they were dancing in the flow of water, but cooking a fish would alarm the nearby animal predators and that attacker from earlier, so he just ate what he could find.

Meanwhile, in the future.

[LK]: "You are only saving yourself up for the inevitable! Nothing? Then let me tell you then, you've been to my world and know what's happening there. I can't let anyone who's been there tell the stories without my oversight. So, I'll hunt you up and make you one of my own people."

He was talking to himself while searching for George and didn't know that he escaped and didn't know that even if the security system wasn't working, the cameras were working. And Rowena was watching everything what happened.

[R]: "I can't believe this guy was searching for 20 minutes and George slipped thoroughly when he wasn't paying attention! Haha!"

[J]: "Rowena!"

[R]: "I haven't forgotten, but this is too funny to pass on! Let's search for George!"
