The lab lady part 2 (8)

Author's note: I'm writing this while being sick and having to attend to university. So, I don't know if I've got the best ideas in the world/the brightest ideas.

"I've got good and bad news" said that lab lady to me. "Which one do you want to hear first?"

"Start with the bad one, always the bad ones are not the greatest."

"Well then, the bad news is that I don't understand most of it. I've confirmed you have fire element."

"Then, what about the good news? Aren't you the scientist lady? I already know that! Do you have something new to tell me?"

"More or less it's hard to explain, it's different from the others."

"Don't tell me I'll be here forever!"

"I took enough blood sample to research for later. Now it's important on what to do from now on. The next time you go into that world tell Alex that his relatives are safe and worried for him, but don't tell him about being stuck there."

After a small break, that lady continues.

"Now knowing you are the only one awake with powers, try to test them as you desire, but don't cause any hazards! If you do, we'll have you detained until you are able to control them."

"Now that we got out of the way, can you give me some details about the meteorite? I want to know what happened!"

"Fine... Remember, I'll give you the information as you asked, but the only thing I ask of you is to keep it for yourself and don't share it with others, including Alex."

Before replying to her speech, she said:

"We will let you go, and I'll uncuff you, but before that I'll make myself clear with something. It's not verified yet, but that flame of yours is activated and bound to emotions. So, now, breath in and out."

I listened to her proposal and did as told, a few times.

"I'll uncuff you now, in 3... 2... 1. See that's good. Now get out, I want to return to my weekend free of work!"

"But…?"

"No but, just get out and let me enjoy my time off work!"

"Fine, thank you and take care!" I said as I was leaving with a bodyguard she called earlier. As I was leaving, I remembered something and asked that lady: "The documents?"

"The secretary will print it for you." That lady rolled her eyes and then sighed. "Offf!" 'What am I going to do?' She told to herself.

Then the next second, George has his vision covered again and exclaims. "Not again!"

'At least this time they didn't cuff me. Wait, why am I even thinking at this?'

'Not long after, I found myself back in the front of the house and able to see again with a cardboard box with a tag saying, "For George". I pick-up that box and headed inside to unpack that thing.'

"I hope this is going to be helpful at least. I mean I went throw that, searching for Alex and being captured by some organization."

After some moments of silence, George says:

"As things stand as for now, a meteorite what looked weird bestowed on Earth, and that caused a chain of reactions what first allowed me to be different with some sort of ability, or abilities, that's what that crazy lab lady mentioned, when I was captured. I met Alex, a cool child, and that weird space I go when I fall asleep. Let's see what's new or different from what I knew before."

The moment George opened the box, he expected to find something groundbreaking.

"What's this? It's not that much, but the only thing I can see is about being a theory of the lost civilization. And documents say that this organization is not able to approach the meteorite because of an unknown force keeping them outside of the interior reach, and they are non-stop attacked by the nature itself, some plant monsters. Like in that dream world I keep going to."

Those documents surprised George a lot, and after searching for more information, other than the one he already knew, he found a small box with a tiny paper attached to it in which it mentioned that there's a button on the box and that will allow him to talk with that lab lady in case of emergency, because the number she gave him earlier was from work and it would take unnecessary time in case of a problem and that button calls her. "Oh great, I cannot escape from that hasty one! What's next? Have hidden cameras in my house?"

And as George grabs that note to throw it to the garbage, a small writing under the initial words of what's left says, "If not, they'll use surveillance cameras, invisible to the naked eyes."

"Darn it! I have to follow their advice. It's do that or just be a lab rat of that crazy lady."

'But wait, what if I mislead them with some information, not including everything and just providing a cover up story. It's a hunch, but they don't have a way to move forward as I do with that "place". Also, I don't fully trust them, or any at all. So, there shouldn't be any problems.'
