Chapter 33: The Threat and Freedom

The man who's looking at me frowns his eyes when he called me. I bit my lower lip not because that I'm afraid it's because I don't want to follow his command but I need to do it or else he will beat me up.

I stood to where I'm sitting in the corner of the cell and approach this man who's now sitting in the cell like a king. The other prisoners massaging his shoulders while the other was massaging his arms. He gestured for me to sit next to him which is made me more nervous. But I still did what he commanded.

When I sit next to him he asked me about what we had talked about with the former warden and the other prisoner. Why would he ask me that?

"Kid, I heard from the other prisoners that you can see the future. Is that true?" He said. The man beside me like a king was eavesdropping when I was in the other cell. I think he's around in the '50s of age but he has a bulky body.

"Y-yes sir" I stuttered in reply. He smirked not glancing a single bit.

"Can you see my fate?" He asked. "I want to know what will my fate in this jail. But if I do not like what you said, you will pay for it. Understood?" He said in a monotonous voice. I nod as I swallowed hard still nervous at him. I hope he is not the one that Attorney Jeron told me about this inside job-killing.

"But I need to sleep so I can see your future clear," I said. He nods and he let me rest one of the bed with a cover on it. I was about to ask him why would I slept there but the only answer he said to me is "So you can dream a better fate about me, You should sleep now rest assured that no one will lay a finger on you while sleeping but you know that if I do not like what will my fate is you will face the same fate as the other prisoner."

I still nervous when he said that, but I should sleep now so I can see his fate I want to comply at first with his command but his eyes saying that I should follow his orders or else. So I tried to sleep and hoping that I won't get nightmares. I fall asleep still feeling afraid if he will beat me up while I'm sleeping.

In my dream, the clouds start to gather in one place until the rain pours. It was a cold day when I woke up until I heard someone shouting. I think he was screaming. I looked up to where was that noise until I saw a familiar face that reminds me of someone that I couldn't forget. It was the frightful man I am with together in the same cell. He was trying to escape from the warden which is I did not know why. The background change and now I see the man sitting in a strange chair. That reminds me of something I already watched in one of the movies. It was the electric chair that they using for the prisoners to kill someone. I felt scared when they start to use it on him. The man screams in pain, which makes me don't look at him. My body is shivering to what I saw to the poor man. But it will happen 2 days after my freedom.

But there's something that caught my attention it was the grim reaper who stood beside one warden waiting for the soul of the man they recently killed. The man's souls finally arise from the man's body the grim reaper caught the man souls then they vanished.

I woke up and breathe heavily when I notice that all prisoners even the frightful man is still sleeping. I looked at the warden who's now watching an indecent show on his phone. I asked the warden what time is it now.

"It's already midnight. Are you hungry? You haven't eaten dinner because you were sleeping earlier" He said. That makes my stomach crawls as if it was begging to feed it. I nod at the warden then he opened the cell for me to ate dinner. He gestured me to follow him, and so I did. While I was walking to all cells I felt the breezing freeze which reminds me of the grim reaper. I looked around only to see the grim reaper disguise as a warden.

"Did you missed me?" He asked then laughed.

"What are you doing here?" I asked him while I now eating my dinner.

"Hmmm, nothing I just want to talk to you. Do you have a problem with that?" He said. It looks like he was lying.

"You know that I won't believe you," I said. He smiles then he showed me something. Which made me confused and look at him wondering about this.

"Do you still remember the round shape gem I gave it to you recently?" He asked which reminds me of that monster. I stop from eating because of what he meant. I remember the day which made me realized the wrong move Terrence and I did.

"Oh, my dear... THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING Philip, and don't worry I won't give you anything. But to that man" He said then pointing out to the frightful man. "Lately while you were sleeping I gave him something which is for you to find out what that is," He said then he disappeared. I looked around if I can see him again but he's nowhere to be found. I looked at the frightful man who's sleeping heavily. I feel pity for him because after two days before my freedom he was about to die in the electric chair.

I can't tell him that even though he ordered me to dream his fate. But I'm too scared to tell him what was about to happen two days from now. But before they kill him, I saw that I was released in imprisonment. Which means I win in the case!

Minutes passed and now all the prisoners and the frightful man were awake. I noticed that he's wearing a watch inside of it there's silver and gold in the arrows. I don't know what is that for but I think this might be the reason why he will die here in prison. He gestured for me to get into the cell. When I got myself inside the cell, one of his subordinates closed the cell which makes me trembling in fear. I swallowed hard before I went closer to him still nervous and frightened about what might happen to me. The frightful man motioned one of the monoblock chairs for me to where I should sit. I sat down and still not looking at the frightful man's eyes where he was ahead of me. His subordinates are waiting for his commands while me still trembling in fear. I hold my knees shaking in fear which makes his subordinates laugh.

"Now boy, what did you see in my Fate?" He asked that send chills in my spine.

"U-Umm... I-I saw to y-your fate i-is..." I said while my voice is stuttering in fear when the frightful man hit the railings which makes me startle.

"SAY IT NOW!" He said in a frightful way which all the prisoners startle by what the frightful man did. I looked up to Greg and Buck but their eyes turn around which give me no hope. I bit my lower lip again and breathe heavily to give me the strength to tell him the truth, but the more I did that the more fear I felt.

I looked at Sapphire still worrying if I need to do this, there's no other way so I decided to tell him the truth even though I'm scared of what might happen to me.

While I'm telling about his fate, his face turned pale then turn into frowned, his fist clenched too tight. He gritted his teeth and his breathing starts to ragging until he loses his temper and I was about to get beaten by him when the warden hit the railing, which caused him to stop. The warden announced that I was released in imprisonment because of my freedom which almost gave me relief. They said that the judge finally closed my case because Attorney Jeron finally gets a way to turn the tables upside down. He gets the best IT industry to check the video footage that was totally edited by an unknown person. The wrong accusation case was finally disclosed and I got out of prison which gives me happiness that I finally free in the jail.

I can't stop thanking Mr. Jeron for being such a good Attorney and dissolve my case. I then turned my gaze to my friends which are still supporting and trusting me, they never leave me behind. I hugged them tight and cried I can't describe how glad and thankful I am to had a friend like them... I can't believe I free in jail!
