Arrival 2

According to the family get together two years back her cousin Parker showed of a yellow coloured stone he called 'Energy stone ' everyone was so fascinated he wowed them with his knowledge telling them of the grade and it's importance.

The stone her parents gave her were majorly green one notch higher than his. They gave Lana a three blue stones it was higher than hers. Parker said a green stone was worth 5 yellow energy stones and a blue stone was worth 40 yellow stones. The value grew higher with the increase in colour.

Her aunt would be livid upon seeing that she had 100 green stones and Lana had 97 green stones an 3 blue ones.

She would probably find a way to steal it.

It was a good thing she searched their luggage that way she would not nosy around it later. Diane pushed hers and Lana's suitcase under the bed.

She locked the door and sat in her meditative post on one side of the room. With the bed acting as a boundary Lana had also begun meditating on the other side.

Time passed and it was already dinner time Diane's uncle Drake had come back but had yet to see is niece.

" Roan where is Diane and her friend" He asked.

Roan was happy they did not come out of their room now that her husband asked her she could not tell him they did not eat lunch.

" Monde please go call your cousin amd her friend , if she had asked the maid her husband would probably be angry with her.

Monde was irritated, she never liked these cousin of hers. She did not know how to worship what was good for her.

Monde got to their room and tried to open it. The door was locked from the inside, she wondered why her cousin would lock her room.

" Diane, My father is calling you" She knocked as loud as she could screaming.

Diane and Lana eyes opened one after the other.

" We are coming " Diane answered.

She immediately pulled out her bag and picked out a cloth. Lana also did the same thing.

Diane was dressed in a green summer gown matched with a pear of cream coloured sandals.

Lana wore a black tight with a baggy grey coloured top that said ' my war ' she paired it with small grey flats.

Lana was prepared to meet the uncle she did not expect good things but she appreciated the fact that they gave them accommodation.

Diane's uncle was seated on the rectangular dining table with his wife right by his side.

He wore a dark blue suit his hair was brushed back and packed into a ponytail.

" Uncle" Diane greeted with a bow. Lana followed in succession executing the exact bow as Diane.

" Is the place to your liking. " He asked.

" Yes sir " Diane answered.

" Good.... Parker and Monde both of you will take Diane and her friend on a tour round the capital, you are allowed to use the Z4 classic for the tour. "

Parker was angry, four days ago he asked if he could use the Z4 classic but is father denied him access. Now his cousin came over and he is asked to use it for some stupid tour.

Monde did not care about things like the Z4 classic. She was more interested in the fact that she could show off all she knew to her cousin.

" Thank you uncle " Diane earnestly said.

Lana slightly bowed to show gratitude.

" No problem , please join us " he gestured for them to sit down, before introducing the meal to them.

" Stirred blue cabbage with swordfish and fried Sink cloud with Tangerine soup. "

'The extravagant meal cost more than village folks would eat. ' Roan thought ; though they were considered a town their backwards lifestyle was not deserving of the name. A pity their population made up for it.

Lana enjoyed the food without care though she only ate a little, she forced her self to eat more than normal because Diane's aunt was staring at them.

Diane ate more than Lana as usual. As soon as the luck was over they spent sometime with the uncle before retiring to their room. Diane began stretching Lana was stunned she had no idea why she was stretching should they not be meditating.

" Ane why are you stretching and in such weird poses. "

" It helps to aid our meditation and we can ease into exercise better. Hmm..mm let me teach you. These is the reasons why I crushed you in strength and endurance test. " Diane pulled her up.

" It is not like am the one who wants to be a mecha " She grumbled still following her others.

It continued for thirty minutes before Lana quit , she immediately went for a hot shower then began meditation. Diane did not stop until an hour later she also took a hot shower and began meditating.

They continued all night without sleeping not that the felt the needed it. In fact the sleep lover Lana could go a day without falling asleep.

The next day the maids came to wake them up for breakfast.

Upon arriving at the dining table they found out her aunt an uncle had gone out.

Parker looked at them and remembered his father others. He was so reluctant to carry it out but of he came back and found out about his disobedience he would be grounded.

That was not his most feared scenario, it was the loss of his favourite gadgets.

" Hurry we have a tour " He said before walking out. Monde followed after him shortly.

Diane and Lana ate hurriedly, despite their dislike towards his attitude if they did not tour the capital then how would they survive living in it.

It was also mainly because they needed to buy a Commwatch and understand the expenses of their new environment.

They had arrived at the gadgets market , there was a long line of shops with people coming and out of all shops. The outer layer of the shops in the same place was beautiful, it had cream floors with brown to red coloured chairs arranged at intervals. In the middle of an escalator a few meters before, it was a beautiful fountain it was a picture of two mechs standing hand to hand as the water of the fountain caressed their fake body.

The stores seed to be selling different gadgets sale sold the same gadgets but belonged to a different brand.

The cost of a good Commwatch was about fifteen thousand earth coins.

Lana and Diane payed for it and learnt how it was used before they were whisked away Monde who took them to a clothe store.

They were so many type of clothes, some were even filled with technology like the limited anti gravity suit or the strengthening suit which had the same design as the one worn by her uncle.

They were very enlightened about how the capital worked. Lana also understand that those vehicles she saw were cars and the Z4 classic was supper expensive.

It was no wonder Diane's cousin Parker was reluctant to take them with him. To someone like him they did not deserve to stand close to such a car.

Their days were peaceful after he tour. Their aunt did not bother them and they meditated in peace. The growth of their mental strength was massive and they had no idea.

Without the help of their cousins. Diane and Lana who were familiar with the capital set out. They rented a very cheap yet quiet hotel.

It was just a week till the resumption of the university of magic. Lana came to the conclusion they should drink the thousandth explosion Diane's mother gave them.

The double room they collected provided the minimum privacy they required.

In future they would probably be thankful on their luck. Though it was not good to use it in Diane's uncle house. A cheap hotel provided no security and their was no soundproof room neither were the windows secured. If anyone passed through they would be discovered.

Their body trembled as it seemed like they where under disconnection. Diane's body beared more pain causing her spasm occasionally. Her skull was under attack so was all the muscle in her body.

Lana felt like an hammer was hitting her skull and bones.

The difference in feelings was because of their different talents. Mecha was Diane's dream and she always trained her body more than hee mind. Lana just trained her mind and only started body , the excessive stiffness of her body transferred the pain to her bones.

An hour passed before the pain finally rescinded. It was only due to the mental practice they did for over a year that they were able to stay awake. If not their death would have been ensured.

Waking up their body stank with so much sweat and dirt. They took separates bath so the my could ask how the other was.

After their bath, they looked healthier and lost a few pounds. The world felt lighter.

" Ane so how are you feeling " She asked.

" Lana apart from the excessive toture I felt , it ses like I can walk in air. " Diane explain.

Lana nodded in unison as she felt the exact same thing.

" This means out potential has probably risen, we could probably be on par with those with special potential, but we would probably be left behind by the capital students. " Lana sighed.

It was true with the aid of their Commwatch they found out that the lowest potential from the capital was 149 while the highest was 206.

This was to expected in a top town.

If these was a top city she did not want to imagine how the how the people living on Venus or the Space station 33 were like.

She discovered that humans also resided on other planets of their solar system including space stations. Their were at least 3 residency planet and 4 space stations.

These people were more important than those on earth, their capability was insane.

Lana and Diane felt jealous that they were not born in space as soon as they heard it.

Lana and Diane went shopping for a few gadgets like a R level stun gun and curved dagger for Diane while Lana got a blue caster book and water stones.

They immediately returned to the home were they met their aunt.

Roan was shocked by the appearance of her niece , she thought they left so she asked the maids to get check their luggages.

She was happy when they found none in the wardrobe, she thought her nice had finally left with her rude friend but here they were.

" Have you guys not left " she asked

" Left like leave your house , how do you know if we have left " Lana asked, she knew the lady had searched their rooms.

" The maids could not find your luggages " She answered.

" Aunty why were they in our room " Diane was angry. It should be enough to search their luggages when they came but to search their rooms.

" They were cleaning" she did not have to explain but she had no idea if these niece and her friend would tell her husband.

Drake had asked her to be accommodating and she had promised.

" okay aunty but they should not clean without our presence "

Diane dragged Lana away.

Roan really wanted to ask our the maids could not find their luggage but the question was stick in her throat, she thought had on were it could be but nothing came up.

Except they had storage equipment. ' impossible ' she thought, it was hard and expensive for her to procure one for her son how would village folks have so much money and connections.

One needed to be able to preorder it from the factory , the loss of space elementals is the reason for the shortage. It was predicted to end in the next year.

Diane shut the door to her room no sooner did Lana begin to laugh.

" See I told you she was going to nose around. " Lana smiled

" Ugh.... Why .. we did whatever she wanted what does our things have to do with her. " She asked

Lana patted her friend and consoled " Hey we would be gone in a week do not fret "

Diane nodded still feeling lost she knew she could do that but she had no idea why she would do that after she searched them once.

" I think she is trying to get her out of her house " Lana said knowing what her friend was thinking.

A week flew bye and it was time to sy goodbye, Lana missed Diane's nice uncle who always told them about the dangers of where they were going to and he did not differentiate between Diane and her.

She carelessly wave at Diane's aunt not liking her one bit.

Diane also appreciated her uncle and cousin Monde who despite her tendency to brag was a good person.

' It was the beginning of a new life' Lana and Diane thought as they approached the University of Magic.

It was big as most university should or perhaps bigger the gates were nothing short of intimidating as they looked like dwarfs next to it.

They walked into it while collecting the new students pass after they had shown their admission check on their commwatch.

They were directed to the school secretariat office where they were given the school map and asked to settle in.

Diane and Lana took their room number. The school was lax on room arrangements you had to pick a number and a room. They are over 4 thousand rooms, first years had to be 4 in a room.

Lana and Diane picked numbers which followed each other though they had no idea about the rule. They noticed they could pick the available room as it had no students.

Special potentials had special rooms it's in the name.

While Geniuses only had two in a room and the facilities they could access were more.

Diane and Lana had no idea as they were never considered special potentials.

They were also oblivious to the stress that they were going to face in the near future.

But for now they only awaited their orientation as they began settling in their room.
