--------------------------------------------------------------------

After a few days of rest, Raditz's forehead injury had completely healed. He was eager to visit Earth, considering it to be a great place. Not only could he further improve his control over ki, but it also offered abundant food and beautiful sights. On his current planet, he could only find sour and succulent fruits and had little access to wild game. As a Saiyan warrior, he found the food unappetizing, similar to Vegeta's reaction. He longed for a good night's sleep in a comfortable bed and a refreshing bath. The monotonous routine of fighting day after day had taken its toll on him.

Although the overall combat level on the planet was not high, the standard of living there was far superior to the desolate and broken planet he was on. Raditz made up his mind and chose a favorable day to embark on his journey to Earth.

Inside his spherical spacecraft, there were sleeping devices that allowed travelers to sleep during long journeys, reaching their destination as if in a dream. However, instead of sleeping immediately, Raditz decided to engage in meditation training to enhance his strength through spiritual training. Only when his stocked fruit was finished, did he activate the life-sustaining device and enter the sleeping pod to continue his journey.

One year later...

On Earth, the ambitions of the great villains who attempted to conquer the world had become a thing of the past, and people were experiencing a peaceful period. Everyone was living their lives and enjoying the tranquility.

In the blue sky, a few idle clouds floated while the green wilderness stretched out like giants guarding the boundless land.

Suddenly, a meteor-like light streaked across the sky, leaving a long trail of flames as it rushed towards the ground!

"Boom!"

The tremendous impact caused the earth to tremble, and people in the square felt the noticeable vibration. Many thought it was an earthquake and rushed to open spaces for safety. But in a moment, the shaking ceased, and they saw thick smoke rising into the sky.

"Finally done. After sleeping for so long, my whole body feels stiff. This single-person spacecraft isn't really suitable for long-distance travel," Raditz said as he opened the hatch and quickly climbed out to take a breath.

Although the time spent in the spaceship felt like a dream, the stiffness in his body was all too real. He couldn't wait to move his arms and legs, ensuring that every part of his body was functioning properly. He even waved his tail to make sure it was in good condition.

Raditz jumped up and out of the huge crater that he had created upon landing.

However, as he stood on the ground, Raditz was taken aback. In front of him stood a middle-aged farmer with a plaid shirt, a straw hat, and a look of disbelief. The farmer's hands trembled, and his gun pointed shakily at Raditz.

Even though he was a weakened version of his Saiyan self, Raditz's presence was still overwhelming to the Earthling.

"Hey, you, what are you?" the farmer stammered, his voice quivering.

Ignoring the farmer, Raditz looked at the screen in front of him, which displayed a number - 5.

He couldn't help but feel a bit touched. His legendary power level had been reduced to a mere five.

"What?! Is this guy mentally ill?" the farmer exclaimed, bewildered by the sudden turn of events.

Raditz burst into laughter, disregarding his image, and bent over, holding his stomach. "I can't believe it... Just a measly five! Hahaha!"

"This guy... Could he be mentally unstable?" the middle-aged farmer wondered, still in shock.

After laughing for a while, Raditz gradually stopped and looked at the farmer, not wanting to cause any harm. "I have a message for you. If you encounter people like me in the future, don't shoot."

"Huh... um?" The farmer was momentarily dumbfounded, trying to comprehend the situation. "Hey, you are..."

Before he could finish his sentence, he was once again stunned, his legs giving way as he collapsed to the ground. He watched in astonishment as Raditz flew into the sky, moving faster than the wind.

As Raditz soared through the air, he recalled his famous catchphrase, grinning from ear to ear. "This is a historic moment." Lost in his excitement, he noticed a reaction on his detector.

"The energy reading is quite strong on Earth, with a distance of 2333... Could it be Piccolo?" Raditz continued his flight. "Well, it doesn't matter. Let's go check it out."

Following the signal, Raditz arrived at the location.

To his surprise, it wasn't a desolate hill but a small town. The roads were wide, the houses were densely packed, and there was a constant flow of vehicles. It was completely different from his initial encounter with Piccolo.

"Has history changed? I haven't even started my rebellion yet, and history won't be this accommodating, will it?" Raditz pondered.

He decided to land on the ground and make his way towards the source of the energy. He entered a bar and immediately noticed several lifeless bodies strewn across the floor. Their deaths seemed swift and brutal, as if they had been struck by a fatal blow. Clearly, a skilled warrior was responsible.

"Piccolo? No, if it were him, even this place would be obliterated... Huh?" Raditz suddenly realized that the signal on his detector had vanished. "The other one must be a master who knows how to use 'ki'!"

Raditz no longer relied on the detector and instead focused on sensing the flow of ki directly.

In an instant, a figure appeared above him, wielding a sword that flashed with incredible speed. But for Raditz, the Earthling's speed appeared as if in slow motion. With a slight body movement, Raditz narrowly evaded the fatal blow.

The mysterious figure reacted swiftly, leaping away and disappearing into the shadows.

"Hey, there are two of you. The moment you walked in, I could tell you were different. Wearing strange clothes, you give off a completely different vibe than the average guy. Who are you? Are you here for revenge?" Raditz called out.

"I have no interest in seeking revenge for them, and I already know who you are, so there's no need to hide," Raditz said with a wry smile. He never expected to encounter this individual. "You're the world's number one assassin, right?"

The figure emerged from the shadows, bursting into hearty laughter. "Ha ha ha! The first person to mention my name so calmly. Yes, I am the world's number one assassin, Mercenary Tao!"

As he stepped forward, Mercenary Tao revealed his transformed state. The iconic long hair remained, and the word "Kill" on his chest stood out prominently. He had mechanical arms and eyes, and the sword Raditz had evaded earlier was a weapon that emerged from his hand.

"Young man, I only kill for the wealthy and don't take on apprentices," Tao explained, expecting admiration and respect from Raditz.

"What the hell? An apprentice? Isn't Mercenary Tao a little too eager for recognition?" Raditz raised an eyebrow, feeling perplexed by the situation.

With a helpless expression, Raditz said, "Sorry, I must have mistaken you for someone else..."
