Flashback 10
A/N: The incidences in this chapter happen after *Flashback 1*
The crystal grew warm. Sevir whispered, “wait a second.”
Sevir bounded up the stairs and slammed the door shut behind him. He removed the crystal from his pocket to see the RuIng sitting in front of many many journals, papers, scrolls and what not.
Sevir noted that the slight strip of red over RuIng’s head had widened the exact colors of the robes. He asked, “did you find anything more about Alyona?”
RuIng shook his head. “I have been looking, but nothing.”
RuIng looked here and there, hesitating. Sevir felt something amiss and asked, “what?”
RuIng replied, “That was the only time that name was mentioned.”
Sevir did not reply immediately. RuIng talked about his mother as if it was a thing and not a person. Sevir’s unease increased. He swallowed it down and shrugged. “She knows your world. They might have only met briefly.”
