Heading outside the next morning I immediately feed Kovu some steak pieces and set to work building a miniature army of mini drones that I can spar with. After building 3 subpar robots the 4th comes out better than I could have imagined

After that I built 4 more bots of the same quality then activated the first one and grabbed my waraxe.

Squaring up with spar bot 1 I allowed him to swing his arms at me again and again in different configurations while I repeatedly ducked dodged and parried with the hammer head and the shaft of the waraxe. After some time I activated bot 2 and worked on suppressing 2 enemies at once to become better acquainted with how well the waraxe moves around in a high speed situation. Upping the stakes I activated 3 and 4 and set them all to kill mode. This forced me to activate my speed boost and begin running circles around them taking swings here and there while also parrying and dodging the occasional quick jab or thrust.
30 Minutes later all 4 bots lay on the ground in various stages of disrepair and i was leaning on the waraxe catching my breath.

Taking a break for lunch I head inside and grill some steaks with baked potatoes and roasted vegetables. Laying Kovu's plate on the floor beside the kitchen table I eat my food and watch out the corner of my eye to see how he handles non-meat foods but as I suspected he gobbles it all down before curling up contently beside me. "Good boy" Scratching behind his ears I finish my meal and decide to head into town to place an order and see how everyone reacts to the presence of a tigergon. Patting my leg i walk out of the house and as expected Kovu stays right beside me sniffing the air and looking around curiously but not daring to run off and get lost in an unfamiliar area.
The first few people we encounter are more curious than anything but sensing no hostility I let my guard down. About five minutes go by when suddenly Kovu lets out a confused Rawr sound and I look down to see a small female child has attached herself around his neck. "Soft kitty" Chuckling softly I kneel down beside Kovu and look at the little girl." This here's a tiger dragon little one, his name is Kovu and while he is very soft you should be more careful when approaching an animal you don't know." Just then the girls mother runs up and starts apologizing as she attempts to wrestle the child off of Kovu who isn't even annoyed at this point, more confused than anything. unlatching the child carefully I hand her over to the woman and chuckle."It's no problem I assure you he's friendly and appears to have no end to his patience with children"
Continuing on down the road we get to the supply store and Johann looks up at my improved armor and the animal beside me. "well that's new normally I don't allow animals in the shop but mythical beasts don't necessarily count I suppose , I love what you've done to your armor master excer." Petting Kovu softly I nod "Thank you Johann it has taken a lot of work but has definitely been worth it." I hand him my order and some gold then pull out a flier I made. "If anyone needs weapons or work done send them my way please I need the experience with smithing and as you can tell my armor and weapon skills are quite well honed." Heading out into the town I decide to spend a few hours just hanging around and seeing if I can learn anything from the locals.
