Atop a large golden disc etched with a crisscrossing pattern of geometric script, five figures stood in observation of a nearby star in the depths of space. The star in question was blue in color, but what was most interesting about it, was what surrounded it. A large hollow sphere had been placed around it, almost like an enormous exoskeleton. To be precise, it was a [Dyson Sphere]. A large mega structure which before now was nothing more than a theory. This theory had been made a reality in no small part thanks to Arlic, who was standing atop the floating golden disc alongside Rasin and Lakasai.
The sphere was a masterpiece of technological and magical engineering. It possessed eight planet-sized [Eco Domes] each interconnected by enormous structural hallways. Each of the hallways possessed living quarters that could safely house billions of people. Living quarters were also included in the first of the [Eco Domes] which had been fashioned into a massive mega-city, built to house around a trillion people. Their amenities were nothing to scoff at either, each living unit outfitted with luxuries that would make even Frieza jealous.
The second dome was intended to train and house military personnel. Arlic called it [The Garrison], he outfitted this dome with a state-of-the-art combat simulator and storage space for military war ships. Warships he had yet to create, that is. The third dome was called [The Farmstead]. Its purpose was the production and distribution of food. It was outfitted with facilities for rearing livestock and for growing produce. A source of food was a necessity, especially in the depths of space.
The fourth [Eco Dome] was called [The Health Hub]. It was a combination of sorts. A fitness center, civilian combat arena, hospital, and a medical research institute, each on their own floor of the dome. Arlic knew his own ambition, he hoped to recruit people from all walks of life and from many different species. They would bring disease and illness with them. It could be studied and treated all in one place. It would also give his more combat inclined citizens a place to train and hone their skills.
His fifth dome was called [The Library]. The domes primary function was the preservation of knowledge. Knowledge that could be accessed remotely by any of the sphere's residents, with certain limitations placed on what could be accessed. It also housed six massive structure's which Arlic called [Mage Towers], each one representing the six types of [Magic]. The towers sat in a large circle across from one another, designed to house and train [Magic] users in the different schools of [Magic]. In the center of the circle of towers sat a seventh that was larger than the rest. This tower was designed to connect to the others via floating ramparts, its purpose to house those which had mastered all schools of [Magic]. It would allow them to further their own skills and guide others along the path of [Magic]. Arlic hoped to eventually have god-level mages amongst his ranks.
The sixth [Eco Dome] was something that Rasin and Lakasai helped him create. They had decided to call it [The Institute of Scientific Advancement], it was a long name in Arlic's opinion. The name clearly stated the purpose of the dome though. It was designed to be ground zero for all things regarding scientific knowledge. Formal, natural, and social science would be researched here. Even Arlic was looking forward to seeing what this dome could become in the future.
[The Capital] was what Arlic called the seventh dome. It housed the center of government for the empire he intended to create and rule. As well as a large trade hub that surrounded it, intended to become a center for inter-galactic trade. Though he had no intention of conceding his right to rule, he couldn't be present all the time. He also wanted his empire to last. So in order to achieve that, a system of government would be needed. Thus, the idea for a [Counsel of Worlds] was born. They would help him in implementing and enforcing laws, as well as overseeing day to day affairs. They would also be responsible for establishing fair trade amongst his empire and other galactic ruling bodies. The final decision on all important matters however, remained solely with Arlic.
[Eco Dome] number eight belonged to Arlic alone. He called it [The Palace], because in short, that is what it contained. A vast Palace and surrounding grounds, it looked a bit like Hogwarts if he was being honest. A cross between both gothic and techno styles of architecture, it was a sight to behold. The grounds surrounding his palace had been fashioned after the Italian countryside, it was truly beautiful.
Arlic had taken to calling his new base of operations, [The Salvation], as it was a ship, not a space station. The rest of the salvation was just as advanced, particularly the [Star Cage]. The cage itself was a [Stellar Engine] designed to power [The Salvation]. The star it housed was a [Blue Hypergiant] inside a hyper-advanced force shield. Arlic had used magic to shrink the star and stabilizing technology to keep it shrunk. That said, the stars energy output had not diminished in the least, he found that to be the hardest part. He had to properly distribute and contain the tremendous amount of energy the star produced. In order to do that, Arlic had sat for nearly three weeks in deliberation, finally coming up with an answer. He would use its energy to power a secondary force shield around [The Salvation] itself. This took care of the excess energy and provided added protection for his new base.
He designed the second shield to be controllable, to the point he could not only make it translucent, but contractible to a certain degree. That would allow his own forces to pass through if needed. It wasn't really necessary, as he had also created [Transport Gates] and long-range teleportation technology, but he figured while he was at it, why not? A [Virtual Intelligence] he created to run his whole base was in charge of monitoring and controlling the force shield. It was also in control of other things, including life support systems, robotic maintenance, and long-distance monitoring via observational probes and sensors. He planned to expand on its functions later, maybe even upgrade its programming
Next was the weapons systems of [The Salvation]. On the outside of the structural hallways were multiple red shining domes. These were [Omni-Directional Energy Cannons], they could open a one-way short distance portal in the fabric of space, through which a highly destructive beam of energy could be shot. This was high technology capable of destroying whole fleets of starships if necessary, it was intended to be his bases primary form of offense. He had also created something he called the [Dimensional Disruption Cannon], a weapon Arlic hoped he never had to use.
There were also the escape pods he had placed along the various parts of the ship. They were designed to fit beneath the hull. Each one had space warping technology, capable of long-distance travel to designated 'safe worlds'. In the worst-case scenario this feature would save the greatest number of civilian lives. He had designed it all for maximum survivability. He still hoped he wouldn't need it, but it was always better to be safe rather than sorry. Lastly, all the [Eco Spheres] were detachable and capable of individual movement, each powered individually by Large-scale [Advanced Eternal Energy Reactors]. The reactors were something he had ripped off from the anime, turns out that Dr. Gero had a lot of room for improvement with his design. It had taken Arlic and his new followers three months of near constant work, but [The Salvation] was nearly complete.
Marveling at his creation, Arlic was brought back to reality by Lakasai. "My lord, Preparations are nearly complete. Shall we bring [The Salvation] online?" Looking to his right, Arlic nodded. Holding his hand to his ear, Lakasai activated the communication function on his new [Hard Light-Scouter]. This was also created by Arlic. Essentially it fit over someone's ear, projecting information across a projected hard-light visor. It was a vast improvement over its predecessor, it could accurately read the power level of even deities, not to mention its upgraded functions. Amongst which were enhanced sensors for environmental analysis and long range subspace communication capabilities.
Lakasai and the others were all wearing advanced battle suits Arlic created after analyzing Cacaos armor. That was the real downside to [Magic Materialization], if he didn't know how something was made, its molecular composition so to speak, he couldn't create it. There was also the issue of how much focus he required in order to create more advanced objects, that's why it took so long to make [The Salvation]. Arlic was strong, but he was no [Kai].
Watching from the floating platform, the large spherical ship began to come alive. As its system came online, it sent a signal to Arlic's [Hard-Light Scouter]. "SYSTEM ONLINE. DESIGNATION: OPERATIONAL COMMAND FOR GALACTIC CLASS DESTROYER: SALVATION. DESIGNATION CONFIRMED. STANDING BY FOR INSTUCTION." Smiling as everything was going according to plan, Arlic looked towards his new followers. "It's time for us to go. Earth awaits." As Arlic said this he ordered [The Salvation] to enter defense mode. Meanwhile the golden disc they were all standing on began to move.
The disc was his creation, it was his own spin on the [Transport Cube] used by Goku's group in Dragon Ball Super, the one provided by Whis. There were differences, however. First, he was no god. He possessed no [Godly Ki], as such the disc remained at the mortal level of technology. Secondly, as he wasn't certain what the real Cube was made of, let alone what allowed it to function, he had to use his own ideas for the concept. That said, Arlic added a good number of features to the disc. Three omnidirectional, dark red colored [Gravity Control] domes on the bottom, for basic movement. [Magic Runes] for both protection and recyclable air filtration, these made up a light red dome which covered the disc. Lastly, he placed a waist high golden column in the center of the platform. Within its base, were housed its power source and its [Transport Portal Matrix].
Atop the base, floated a clear [Crystal ball], this was what enabled its ability to navigate the universe as its user wished. Using it, one could locate any coordinates or person/persons they wished to find. The aptly named [Transport Disc], would get them there within minutes by opening a portal through space itself. Unlike the [Cube] it was designed after, it couldn't travel to other universes, not yet anyway. With all this in mind, Arlic activated the [Crystal Ball], the image of a beautiful blue world appeared in its depths. Shortly after, the space before them opened, the blue world inside the [Crystal Ball] was now right in front of them. Smiling even wider, Arlic moved the disc towards the portal, disappearing into its depths, thinking to himself. "What a view!"
Chapter 15 has undergone final edit! That was more work than I expected. Worth it though!
