Danger

The next day An Le's fever has went down, and she stated that she felt much better.

Song Zihan drives her to work also. An Le looks at him as he's driving, and a smirk came on her face. "What are you looking at?" as Zihan notice the stare. An Le shakes her head, "I'm just wondering how come it only two days, and you've already let me see in your car. Didn't before you won't even want me to sit here?" An Le looks at him curiosity.

"My dad told me to drive you," Song Zihan's explanation didn't make An Le think much.

"I guess you do listen to Uncle Song a lot." Song Zihan didn't say anything, and shortly they arrive outside the station.

Once they arrived at the station, Inspector Lin has called them for a meeting.

"Song, what did you find in your autopsy?" as Lin asks.

"In the victim's body, I found two stabs. And those two stabs are found in the stomach and the heart. The first stab was the stomach, and that's where I believe where the blood came from that's found in the living room. I believe she then tries to escape, but got stabbed right in the heart. The cause of death is due to the amount of blood being loss." After saying it, he voluntarily looks at An Le for a moment. She looks calm, but also there's something inside of her that he can't tell.

Inspector Lin nods. "From the surveillance camera that we found in the neighborhood, we saw a person in all black with a cap on walked in Dr. An's house, and then left shortly. But we couldn't see how he or she looks like." The screen pops a picture of the man leaving the scene.

"He hid himself really well," as one of the team member said.

An Le closes her eyes.

"Dr. An are you okay?" as one the team member notices. Everyone turn around to look at her, but she didn't answer them back. Inspector Lin looks at Song Zihan, but he doesn't know what happened too.

"I saw him before," as An Le opens her eyes.

"Where? Who is he?" as Inspector Lin said.

"Five years ago, when I first went to M Country I was kidnapped. And that's where I know Hera." Everyone looks at her shockingly, and Song Zihan for some reason heart starts aching.

"During that time, we didn't know why they kidnapped us. But I know that they called Hera's dad to bring $1 million and the USB if they wanted Hera back. And shortly, Hera's dad told someone to bring the money, and gave them the USB. But right at that moment as one of the kidnapper, was checking the USB, the police came. And one of the kidnapper got arrested, while the other two escaped. And that's how I'm still here." An Le's story made everyone stunned.

"So you're saying that the person in black is one of the kidnapper from five years ago?" as Inspector Lin asks.

An Le nods.

"Then as you say, you saw the kidnapper's face right?" as one of the member asks. "No. I didn't get to see their face. They had a mask on every time. But I recognize that bracelet, and scar on his left hand."

Inspector Lin looks at her, "do you know what is in the USB that they wanted?" An Le shakes her head. "I've asked Hera before, but she doesn't know too."

After hearing this, Song Zihan who is sitting right next to her finally spoke up. "Why did they kidnap you? They kidnap Hera because they wanted money and the USB. But why you also?" An Le gave him an I don't Know face.

"Deng Zi, go contact the police in M Country and see if they know anything about this? And also we need to see one of the kidnapper that they arrested five years ago." Deng Zi nodded, and quickly went to call.

"Dr. An since you said it's one of the kidnapper you saw before. Then we need you to tell us more information on this. And also, you might be in danger too. We don't know if you are involve in this, but to be safe you should stay with Zihan right now." An Le looks at Inspector Lin after he said it. "You're asking me to stay with him? Why? It's not like he can protect me."

Hearing this, Inspector Lin's heart also burst open. He took a quick peak at Song Zihan, who's face has turns so dark.

"You don't need to worry about it. You will definitely be safe with him. I promise," as Inspector Lin quickly explains. "Why should I trust you though?" as An Le looks at him. Inspector Lin is stunned by her words. "Because I'm a police. And you should trust me that he will be able to protect you." As An Le was about to argue back, the chief sends a message that he wanted to see her.

Inspector Lin finally take a breath after seeing her go. "Your assistant is such a pain in the neck." Song Zihan gave him a stare when he said it. "What's with that look? Didn't I say it right? She could be a really pretty aggressive woman."

*KNOCK KNOCK*

An Le opens the door, and see Chief Song sitting there. "You're looking for me?" as An Le asks him.

The chief smiles, "seat."

An Le walks over, and took a seat. "I've heard what happened yesterday. How are you feeling? Do you need a break?" as the chief looks at her. "I'm fine. I think I'm capable of working, and don't need a break." Seeing how persistent she is, the chief nodded.

"I've told Zihan to take good care of you. So, if you need anything just tell him. And if he hurts you or bully you, come tell me too. I'll take care of him for you." An Le laughs at the chief words. "I'll be fine Uncle Song. I won't let him bully me. You don't need to worry about that." Chief Song looks at her worryingly.

"An Le, just make sure to stay safe and if anything I'm here to help. You and your brother really gives me headache sometime. I really don't want to see you guys getting hurt. So, promise me to be safe." An Le looks at Uncle Song, and then nods. "I will. I promise you."

After a long day of work, there was no sign of new information or evidence. The kidnapper that was in prison had died from lung cancer. And now everything is stopped.

"Did you guys contact Hera's father?" as An Le asks them. "We did. But the death news of Hera was too big for him to handle. And now he is in the hospital."

An Le thinks for a second, and puts her hand inside her jacket pocket. As she walks back and forth, she felt something inside her pocket. She takes it out, and it was a USB.

"What's this?" as she look at it.

Everyone then looked at each other. "Could that be?" as one of the member asks.

They quickly insert it to the computer and opens the file.

"WOW, I can't believe this. How much money is that?" as one of the member is shocked from what he saw.

"I get it now. Those kidnappers are drug dealers. But I don't get is why does Hera have this? Or does Hera's dad has anything to do with this?" as Inspector Lin said.

"We gotta meet up with Mr. Zhen as fast as we can." Right at that moment, a phone call came in. "Inspector Lin, it's Mr. Zhen's secretary." Inspector Lin quickly went to grab the phone. "Hello?"

The whole team looks at Inspector Lin as he finishes the call.

"They said they don't know anything about the USB. Five years ago, when the kidnapper asks for a USB, they didn't know also. And that time, they gave them an empty USB."

After hearing it, An Le sat back thinking again. "Then where did Hera got this USB?" An Le's head starts hurting again.

Inspector Lin checks the time, and it's almost 12am. "Let's end it here today. Go home and get some rest, and we will continue this tomorrow." Everyone nods, and then starts leaving.

"Dr. An remember the words I said to you. Be careful, and if anything make sure to tell us and Zihan." An Le looks at him, and then back at Zihan, who haven't said a word since. "Your asking me to ask him for help? Couldn't you see how serious his face is right now? He's too scary."

Inspector Lin took a peak at Zihan, and saw how scary he is. "Don't worry. He's always like this." He gave An Le a pat, and then walks off. An Le looks at Zihan, "are we going or not?"

Zihan looks at her, "didn't you say you don't want to talk to me?" An Le looks at him with confusing eyes. "When did I say that I don't want to talk to you?" Song Zihan didn't answer, and just walked out. An Le quickly ran up to him, "answer me. When did I say that?"

As they walked out the station, there was two people waiting for her.

"Hi sis, long time no see." It was An Qi and Kai Xuan.

An Le didn't even bother to respond back, and just kept walking.

"An Le, don't think your very important. If it wasn't because of dad, I wouldn't come here." The word "dad" made An Le stopped walking.

"An Le, dad heard that you're back and wants to see you," Kai Xuan said it and looks at her back.

"I don't have a dad." An Le kept walking, and went inside Zihan's car.

Song Zihan looks at her from the rear mirror as they drove away from the station. "Have something to say?" as An Le notice him looking at her. "Say what? Say that you have a dad, but don't want to recognize him anymore?"

An Le didn't say anything, and was silence through the whole wide.

Once they arrived home, there was a note left on the front door of Zihan's house.

"YOU WILL BE NEXT." Big red bold words are left tape in front of the doors.
