He thought he would at least have a few drinks to clear his head off. He met Jessie in Vegas and recognized she was the woman his grandfather forced him to get married to. Jessie was a brave girl, and she wouldn't die. Bev knew something serious was going on because James had instructed her to call her parents, but she was too afraid to inquire as to why Din and Jessie had ended up in the hospital.
James made a complete 180-degree turn and headed straight for the hospital. Sierra, Abby, and their grandfather had driven to the hospital in a different vehicle and were early.
Since the case has taken place in the Maldives, James doesn't have a say in it. The officers of that island would take care of it, which made him even more angry that there was nothing he could have done to get the truth out.
