"Why didn't you tell me you were pregnant?" As he drew nearer to her, he stopped.
The moment Jessie heard him say those words, her heart nearly burst. How did he learn that she was pregnant? Did Taylor tell him everything? She laughed jitterily while shaking her head. "What are you talking about?" Jessie scoffed. She would deny it all, and he wouldn't disturb her again! "I am not pregnant, Din," Jessie said.
"Are you sure? Even though I have your pregnancy test?" Jessie was startled. "I know, right? All I wanted to do was find you."
"Why, Din? I am happy. Without you."
He handed her the ultrasound image and gave a deliberate headshake. "I am their father, Jessie, and denying it won't change that."
"No. I am not pregnant."
