Douluo Dalu: Path of Immortal.

Well, the name and setting are more or less what this fan-fic is about. A man of about twenty got reincarnated in Douluo story, the same age as Tang San. The story is mostly original and I changed some facts from canon on purpose. MC is OP, but he will have his own share of OP enemies that were never present in canon. I made the universe way broader in some sense just for that. Note: this story is already 100k words long. When I finish posting them, it will go on temporary hiatus, as I won't write it until another fanfic on witcher world is finished. Writing is my hobby and I don't plan to stop as it is rather easy and entertaining for me.

Suotuo City Turmoil (Part 1)

"It's actually because of this." - Aiden merged with his dragon spirit and pointed at his eyes. - "When I am in this form I noticed that I can see energies and martial spirits of others including rings."

What is more interesting, Aiden didn't say any lie here. His skill Dragon Sense gave him such amazing passive ability and coupled with Nexus he can even decipher rings themselves and tell abilities of people from a glance. Also... he can see corruption from afar.

"This..." - Tang San was a bit shocked. Isn't it too perverse? Information is power and like that Aiden had a very deep understanding of any enemy.

"Well, I just saw you having twin spirits with second being Clear Sky Hammer, paired with your name it is quite understandable." - Aiden shrugged.

"Can you keep it a secret?" - he said while sighing in defeat. Who asked his friend to be such a perverse existence.

"No! I will go and blabber about it on every corner!" - Aiden told him with a serious look, but that only made duo laugh. - "Okay, to me it doesn't matter what spirits and how many you have. As for Clear Sky Hammer, don't show it in front of Spirit Hall. They are enemies with many ruling clans, including your own."

"Aiden, do you know something?" - Tang San became agitated from the get-go and seized his shoulders.

"I do and you should know that I am not exactly a fan of secrets... but San, that is not my secret to keep, and neither it is for me to reveal. I'm sorry, I think information should be told to you by your father, I don't want him angry at me." - Tang San looked at him with straight eyes, but later just sighed and let it go, smiling slightly. - "You pops a badass, you know, right?"

"Whatever, I will know eventually." - Tang San snorted at the last thing Aiden said.

"San, just know this. If one day you will be in danger because of it, call for me and I'll be there." - Aiden said seriously, slapped his shoulder, and walked back. - "Shall we return? Or with how strange thoughts of some worked, they can again think of something idiotic."

"They dare?" - scoffed Tang San remembering perverted trio jokes. It was enough to have Ma Hongjun and Oscar as it is, but now they have a drunkard Aaron with them and that gave duo of little perverts wings to achieve greatness. - "Fine, we go, they really are unstoppable." - he sighed in defeat.

When they entered they immediately saw the dirty looks of three people.

"Shut up!" - howled both Tang San and Aiden before any of them can even open their mouths, earning themselves a bout of laughter.

"You are back. Well, Aiden, I leave the choice of what to do with this arena training to you." - Yu Xiaogang was sitting in the corner reading a newspaper and said behind it.

"I will enter individual matches." - he answered. - "But there might be a problem of no opponents."

* * *

"That girl is not bad. I want her." - glanced a man lasciviously at Bing'er. He was sitting in the corner with several others while keeping a tab of any contestant. Spirit Hall stationed them here to survey for talents, but that was just a disguise.

Their main objective was to kill a man known as Dragon Sword Asura.

"If you want her, just take her later when they are on their way back to the hotel, but don't cause to much trouble." - said another one and clearly a leader. Even he was slightly moved by her beauty.

"Don't worry, they won't even notice." - the man smiled hideously, pointing at his eyes. The latter just nodded in acceptance and directed a regretful look at the girl. He knew her, she was a celebrity of the Soul Land after all, but for several months no one heard anything about her and now they happen to meet the girl of their fantasies here, in the company of some random people.

However his regret was not because of her landing in the hands of Hu Gang, but because he actually wanted her for himself at least once. Still, they have this rule to prevent problems from occurring – who first claimed, will take. And they went by that rule for years already.

Otherwise, inner fights will be unavoidable. They are not friends, what binds them together is the command of Lords. Their wishes are sacred and the light itself, none should desecrate it!

"What about others?" - that was Zhang Jun asking. His voice was eerie and oozed with some sense of death and coldness. Be it overall gray aura of his persona, extremely pale face with bony countenance or sickly look in his eyes, everything about the guy was rather unpleasant to the eye.

With that in thought, he actually has handsome features on his face, but it never uplifted the general outlook.

"Not now. Anyway, Hu Gang, try to do it as covertly as possible." - his voice gave off slight ripples of bloody aura and killing intent. He could barely hide it.

"Of course." - he sneered hideously. Although three of them were handsome men, the surrounding air really gave others chills and feelings of corruption.

Right at this time, a servant came running to them with the fawning look, yet deep within his gaze, one could see true terror when he was looking at the leader. He whispered something and receiving gold coin ran away.

"What is it?" - a fourth person and the last sitting in the corner was a woman. She didn't even care about her teammate planing a rape. It was visible that they do such things from time to time, as she looked rather bored.

"Hu Gang, don't touch her for now. She is a teammate of our target who just registered. First, we need to judge him and a couple of others. They all seem to be fairly talented, that girl you want to be included. Remember our orders. Pouch to our side or kill."

"Su Heifang! You just finding excuses to seize her for yourself!" - Hu Gang stood up and screamed at the man in the lead.

"Are you tired of living?" - Su Heifang sneered at the guy and thick blood stench assaulted the air around them. Surprisingly, throughout the entire process, no one noticed.

No one except for one person who silently invoked transformation and watched tremendous demonic might and corrupted rings everywhere from all four people at the corner. One of them even had six and was very dangerous. The other three however don't deserve any attention. He can dispose of them easily, even if they face him together.

Aiden swept the arena whole with Dragon Sense and let Nexus scan it. There are some more here and there. Nobles, merchants, masters...

'They entered every layer of society. I bet these people are all from the same organization, but they perhaps didn't know it themselves. This city is one of their primary targets to take over. Ha... Suotuo really can use some cleaning services to take out lots of trash.'

His vision shifted to the four again, but they already entered the designated room. He didn't have enough time to see through their abilities but committed their martial spirits to memory. Good thing that others are not in danger. All among the four were at least spirit kings with five rings, and the leader had six. There is no way they will be paired with current Shrek Monsters.

But it is always good to be wary. Another bunch of Zealots is here for the beating session.

'Seems like I will have some real opponents to fight here after all.'

However, several days went on and none actually was paired with Aiden. It seems the four people he met back then were not registered for fights at all. Then what are they doing here? Scoping for talents? Actually, it is possible and concerning it, Aiden had some awful premonition.

But according to reports, they barely did anything, most of the time staying in their mansion in the very heart of the noble district.

Days gone by and it already was a week with no movements. He even thought that maybe they are here on standby and not targeting anyone in particular. By that time, Shrek rolled over any enemies they encountered without showing their genuine power. Fights were really boring, and that finally gave students of Shrek some comparison. They found out how powerful they are in retrospect to normal masters.
