The next day, Xu Shuang woke up in a daze as she looked around the room, she then heard the sound of breathing on her side.

She looked and saw that it was Ye Lingling sleeping in a cute nightgown, Xu Shuang smiled as she extended her finger and poked Ye Lingling's cheek.

" So soft.." Xu Shuang muttered when she felt the soft feeling when poking Ye Lingling's cheek.

"Hmmnn.." Ye Lingling let out a cute sound as she swatted the hand poking her cheek, smiling in satisfaction once the annoying finger stopped disturbing her sleep.

Xu Shuang smiled and gently left the bed without disturbing Ye Lingling's sleep, once out of the bedroom she stretched her body creating cracking sounds all over her body, evoking a soft moan from the comfort she experienced.

"What food will Lingling like in the morning?" Xu Shuang asked herself while walking to the kitchen of the resting place.

"Let's cook some chicken soup mixed with different energizing herbs so that Lingling will feel refreshed when eating it and not be tired from last night's fun time."

"Let's add some sweet pastry too, those are Lingling's favorite."

Decided on what she's gonna cook for breakfast, Xu Shuang hummed a small tune while cooking in the kitchen.

"Hmmm, that smells good, what are you cooking, Xu Shuang?" A lazy voice sounded from the door of the kitchen.

"Have a seat, Lingling, this will finish soon." Xu Shuang spoke while stirring the soup in the pot when suddenly two soft arms embraced her from behind.

"Rather than what's in the pot, I would like to have a taste of this beauty." Ye Lingling softly blew a hot breath on Xu Shuang's neck.

Xu Shuang's face was red as she patted Ye Lingling's arms and whispered. "Let go, Lingling, I'm cooking food."

Xu Shuang and Ye Lingling are the typical strong offense and low defense in love, they can cause others to quickly blush but are quick to blush themselves when attacked.

"No, just cook with me here and let me have a little snack, nom." Ye Lingling snickered and took a small bite of Xu Shuang's neck.

Clatter!

"Ah! Lingling! Don't do that, your lucky the pot didn't fall or we'll have to start again." Xu Shuang removed Ye Lingling's arms around her waist and warned her to not do it again.

"Okay, okay, I'll wait for you to finish cooking then." Ye Lingling smiled mischievously and then sat on the table, literally.

Xu Shuang sighed and continued to cook the soup while swatting down any hands that extend to touch her butt.

After the soup was done and the bread baked, Xu Shuang put them on the table after forcing Ye Lingling to move to a seat.

"You're unusually energetic this morning, even more lustful at that, what happened?" Xu Shuang asked while taking a big bite from a piece of sweet pastry.

"Nothing, it's just that I want to pay you back for all the sudden things you did to me." Ye Lingling answered with a smile and then took a sip of soup.

"Right, what spirit ability did you get from that dragon?"

"Well, I got a spirit ability that increases my strength by a whole 400% while other attributes at a 200% increase, it's called 'Dragon's Sacrifice'."

"Other than that, Yin Jinyun can help me fight enemies when I summoned her spirit."

"Really? Can you summon it now? I want to take a look." Ye Lingling asked with sparkling eyes.

"Finish your food first."

"Alright."

Ye Lingling quickly finished all of her soup and pastry and then was invited by Xu Shuang to go to the garden of the resting place.

Xu Shuang stood in the middle of the garden and slowly spoke. "Yin Jinyun."

A Silver Dragon emerged from her body, contrary to its physical form, this dragon is more ethereal and illusionary, it opened its eyes and roared loudly.

"Why did you only summon me now, Xu Shuang?" Yin Jinyun asked with resentful eyes.

" I have kinda forgotten about you yesterday." Xu Shuang scratched her head with an apologetic look.

Summoning Yin Jinyun has the same role as Spirit souls in the later generations of Douluo Dalu, minus being able to level up due to there being no Spirit Pagodas yet.

"Now that you've seen it, it's time to leave this place Lingling." Xu Shuang said to which Ye LIngling nodded in agreement.

They then went back to the portal that lead them here, after crossing all the portals needed they were back to the Yin-Yang Well in the Sunset Forest.

Just as they arrived, Xu Jinshan quickly arrived beside them with a worried face as he asked in a worried tone.

"Are you two alright? What happened in the trial?"

"We're alright Grandpa Jin, and we passed the trial!" Xu Shuang excitedly told him about the things they went through in completing the trials.

"It's great that you managed to pass the trial, you should be more careful when participating in future trials, you almost died in this one."

"You need to train more if you want to not nearly die in future trials."

Just as Xu Jinshan was about to continue giving advice to them, the marks on Xu Shuang's and Ye Lingling's glowed for a bit then dimmed immediately.

"What just happened, Xu Shuang?" Xu Jinshan asked when he saw the change in their marks.

"We just received the contents of the second trial, and it's something that I'm confident about winning." Xu Shuang smiled with confidence when she read the contents of the second trial.

"What's the trial about then?"

"The second trial is to become the champion in the Continental Elite Spirit Academy Tournament, with my current abilities I'm confident in becoming the champion."

'It looks like she's ready to learn another technique from the clan. And it's near her birthday as well.' Xu Jinshan thought while looking at Xu Shuang's confident face and cultivation.

"Alright, pack your things, we'll be returning back to the clan land to learn some new techniques, I'll go and excuse you to your teacher, you'll be training with us until it's near the time to hold the Continental Elite Spirit Academy Tournament."

Then without waiting for any words from Xu Shuang, Xu Jinshan flew away and went in the direction of Heaven Dou City.

"Ah, I'm sorry Lingling, it looks like I won't be able to accompany you for some time, or would you like to go with me to the clan land?" Xu Shuang asked with a hand extended to Ye Lingling.

"I would gladly go with you, Xu Shuang." Ye Lingling answered with a smile and placed her hand on Xu Shuang's extended hand.

"Great! Let's wait for Grandpa Jin to come back and let's go to Heaven Dou City first to do a bit of shopping, to compensate for the past stressful days."

"En."

Not long after, Xu Jinshan came back with a whoosh and landed in front of them, and asked. "Have you packed your things yet?"

"Yes, but can we stop by Heaven Dou City first? Lingling and I planned to relax first before leaving tomorrow." Xu Shuang requested.

"Sure, you two deserved some rest, in fact, let's leave two days later, the days before that can be used by you two to relax." Xu Jinshan smiled and then lifted them up with his spirit power and flew to Heaven Dou City.

Once they reached the shopping district, Xu Shuang and Ye Lingling seemed to be injected with chicken blood and became wolves hunting prey with their excited eyes as they tried lots of clothes in stores.

Buying the ones that they like and tossing away the ones that they don't lie, they had a great time shopping, as they walked to a hot spring inn exclusive for rich women in the city.

"Today was lots of fun, right Lingling?"

"En."
