Honestly, I started writing this fanfic on a whim and i never thought i would cross 100k views this fast. I would try to make my writing style more interesting and upload the chapters more frequently

Nero who was about to leave the island suddenly stopped on his tracks and after a momentary lapse of concentration turned around and asked Zhou Hongbuo " Grandpa Zhou by any chance is there a record of my mother's research on space energy".

Zhou Hongbuo pondered about it for a second and replied "Hmmm, I think there is a record regarding her research. It's just that it might take me some time to find it as I don't remember very well where i put it. Rest assured I will send it to you as soon as i find it ". Nero nodded and carried on with his tracks.

' So, why do you need my mother's research on space energy ' Nero inwardly asked Aria as it was she who asked him to request information from Zhou Hongbuo. [ I only have a premature idea regarding it's use in Battle Armor project, So it's better if you don't ask as the chances of it succeeding is very low ] Nero nodded in understanding as he also didn't know a shit about Battle armor because Aria was in charge of those things.

After getting freshen up Nero was making his way towards the common hall to meet Leng Yaozhu while having an Energy bar and drink, apparently they also exist in the Douluo world but instead of normal materials plants soul beasts are used as ingredients. As soon as Nero entered the hall he felt the world spinning and found himself in his aunt's arms with her messing with his hair. { For those with dirty minds it's just normal things between relatives. ' Dad you just wait I would make sure that you also suffer through her revenge after I resurrect you ' Nero decided inwardly as he finally left his aunt's clutches but not before Leng Yaozhu made him look like a hedgehog.

After Nero fixed his hair and attire, Leng Yaozhu also became serious and started to talk about the reason she was there. " After you informed me about the chimera I decided to secretly investigate to see if there was more to this and as I expected the chimera you fought wasn't the first or the last one. They were hidden records of many experiments with the motive of creating an ultimate weapon but the thing I never expected even in my dreams is that the ruling board of spirit pagoda cooperated with Holy spirit cult which you should already know is an evil master organization " before Leng Yaozhu could continue Nero erupted with terrifying killing intent with his face being as cold as an eternal ice and his eyes transitioning into demon eyes. Leng Yaozhu wasn't surprised at Nero's outburst as although his parents'death reason was unknown but evil soul masters were definitely involved, In fact she herself wanted to slaughter the whole ruling board but she held herself back knowing that it would do nothing other than create more problems.

Nero closed his eyes while taking a deep breath to calm himself down as he also knew that anger would do nothing. A few seconds later Nero opened his eyes revealing normal pupils and motioned his aunt to continue. " As I was saying the ruling board collaborated with the Holy spirit cult with these experiments but there was one unusual failed experiment which took a hefty amount of resources and mysteriously escaped. ' My father was a demigod and even then if he wasn't so sure of surviving it just means that there is more to the holy spirit cult than just a soul beast's revenge. Eastsea City's month-long vacation came to an end, With the new school semester starting the academy was once again bustling with noise and excitement.

Students streamed into the academy, all of them brimming with positivity. This was their second semester. After they finished it, they would advance to the next grade. Though they looked forward to moving up a grade, the dreaded grade promotion exams loomed over them. Suddenly, Many students started whispering while making a way for a white-haired boy entering the academy which was none other than Nero.

Ignoring the whispers Nero made his way towards his dorm while feeling that he forgot something. " oh, you are finally.." " So, you.." as Nero approached the dorm area he saw Xie Xie, Gu yue and Tang Wulin conversing with a blue haired girl that's when Nero remembered that a certain ice staff girl was supposed to enter class zero this semester. Aria also displayed the blue-haired girl's status

Xie Xie scratched his head in embarrassment and then introduced Xu Xiaoyan " She is our new classmate Xu Xiaoyan ". Nero nodded his head as a greeting and said to Xu Xiaoyan " Welcome to Class Zero, I hope you would not doubt your life here ". Leaving the blue haired girl confused Nero just went towards his Dorm to get ready for the welcome ceremony.

The ceremony started without any surprises and after the customary motivational speeches, it soon came to a close. Teachers led their charges back to the classroom where they gave their own words of wisdom and encouragement before dismissing the students until the next day when classes would officially begin.

Naturally, class zero had the simplest proceedings with only five students including the newly arrived Xu Xiaoyan.

"Introduce yourself," Wu Zhangkong said to Xu Xiaoyan as soon as they entered their classroom.

Facing Wu Zhangkong Xu Xiaoyan stood and said, "Hello, everyone. I'm Xu Xiaoyan. I'm 10 years old and my martial soul is the Starwheel Ice Staff. My soul power is at rank 17."

Nero seeing the girl's positive and confident attitude felt sorry for her as she would doubt her life after Class Zero body tests and unlike the original timeline she won't be able to console herself because of having spirit power higher than Tang wulin because he was already Rank 19 soul master.

Wu Zhangkong nodded. "Over the next month, you need to prove your strength and adaptability with class zero. In the end, I will decide whether or not you will stay."

"Yes," Xu Xiaoyan answered.

Wu Zhangkong turned to the other three. "You've had a month to rest, so I need to test your bodies again as well as run another combat test. You have half an hour to meditate and prepare." He turned back to Xu Xiaoyan. "Same for you."
