Douluo Dalu 3: Fire and Steel[Dropped]

Xiu Ye, a young man who lived an ordinary life, unfortunately died at the hands of truck-kun and gets reincarnated into the Douluo Planet, more specifically, the Glorybound City's Orphanage. He lived a carefree and lazy second life, well, that is until he awakened his martial soul that everything went 180. A deserted lifeless land that had countless weapons from old legendary heroes and villains embedded into its earth. A blade whose flames equals the sun's. A talent in blacksmithing that no one can equal to. This is Xiu Ye's story of fire and steel. ==================================================== *I do not own anything except for this story. *Vote your power stones, comment, review and share this story with your friends! Chapter 137

The day went by relatively quickly and unexciting.

Xiu Ye yawned into his palm and closed the latest book he read, which detailed the event from four thousand years ago of a plague that had killed off 30% of the world's population.

He turned towards the wall clock, noting that it was approaching midnight, he forced a incoming yawn back down his throat, and cracked his neck around.

Yuanen Yehui had already gone back to her room a few hours ago so he was the only left in the library.

Xiu Ye stretched his body up, loosening up his stiff muscles a bit, for not moving much for the last several hours and just remained sitting in a chair–reading hundreds of books whilst planning for his next moves. Oh well, he groaned as he cracked his neck around, I'll just continue plotting for my ascension to godhood later on. I've got dinner to cook and I'm hungry.

He raised his right hand–his eyes glowing with orange light, which was releasing small undulations of spiritual power, and his hand started glowing with the same color.

Suddenly, the books on the table and on the ground shook and soon enough, they started floating in the air.

Nonchalantly, Xiu Ye raised his right hand up, moving his fingers, the floating books began to move in certain directions that ended them being shelved.

Taking a look around the library, checking to see if all the books are in their respective shelves correctly, he nodded to himself in satisfaction and turned to walking towards the doors.

He opened them doors, closed it, and then locked them with a grey colored key which he tuckered it into his pants and walked away.

"Well, time to head home and cook myself up some dinner. I'd probably go with ramen for tonight, it's almost a traditional for most people late at night to eat them." Xiu Ye muttered to himself, his lips upturned into a smile.

If there was one good thing about recalling some of the memories of EMIYA, it was the fact that the man was a damn good cook that had thousands of a variety of recipes. Add that he would use Structural Analysis to scan the history of Chef Knives in his inner world when he had free time, which Xiu Ye had as well but in the kitchens of both inner and outer court cafeterias, he had an entire library of cooking recipes.

And no, Xiu Ye did not take priority of sorting through and testing out the recipes he had gathered in his mind, in favor of going through the information in the Great Library of Shrek. No siree. Nope. There was just too much knowledge and gibberish to decipher in the library. Yup.

"I feel like ramen is too little...Ryu, what do you think?" He said out loud, unafraid of anyone listening to him as he had already checked his surroundings of any eavesdroppers by using his spiritual power.

Ryūjin Jakka appeared besides him, casually rubbing his chin as he thought about what his young master/partner had asked him. "Personally, miso soup. That was what my old master had liked to eat back in Soul Society. Both ramen and miso soup should be enough to sate your hunger. Ah, you know what? Make it two miso soups. I want to try eating as well."

"You're a zanpakuto spirit, you don't need to eat." Xiu Ye turned to him with a raised eyebrow.

"We don't, but that doesn't mean we don't like to."

"....Fine." Xiu Ye sighed and agreed. Ryūjin Jakka grinned

The walk from the library to the dorm was thirty minutes long.

The area of Sea God Island was as large and wide as a small city, but it lacked any sort of tall metal buildings you would normally find from one. With the exception of the gigantic Ancient Tree.

Despite being the main land of the academy where its innermost secrets and powerful experts lived, Sea God Island wasn't as technically sophisticated in architecture like the outer court. Most of the buildings in the island for people to live and use were built into or around the Ancient Tree of Life; the materials being mostly wood from other trees that was grown in the island or the tree itself.

The reason was simple, building any structures that would lead to the deterioration of the Ancient Tree of Life was banned. Which is why buildings made out of metal weren't permitted to be built anywhere in Sea God Island.

The dorm of the inner court was mostly made out of wood as well and could be classified as a cottage than a school dorm.

"I'm back." Xiu Ye said to no one in particular as he entered his room with Ryūjin Jakka trailing behind him and closing the door for the former.

After taking his shoes off, Xiu Ye went straight to the kitchen, which was an entirely room separated from his own and was connected through a door that was just next door. Of course, this was a special reconstruction of the academy through paying a lot of contribution points for them.

Xiu Ye had never wanted much in life; wanting to gain strength so he could protect his loved ones and live a peaceful life. But if there was something more greater than that, it was a kitchen.

A kitchen is his zen, his garden. You can take away his life, but you can never take his kitchen.

He ain't kidding. Two years ago when a faculty teacher wanted to take away Xiu Ye's kitchen because a new batch of inner court students was admitted in, and they were a lot more than the usual batch, there was not a lot of room in the dorm for them to take residence.

Even when the teacher explained that, Xiu Ye didn't hear it. The moment the man had said that he wanted to take his kitchen away, his mind went blank and he started muttering out the first few incantations for the activation of his Reality Marble.

The only reason why he didn't rain a thousand swords on the man was because the latter got a call from someone and was told that the students could take residence at the houses of the senior inner court students.

....This might be a side effect for gaining the memories of EMIYA but since there weren't any more incidents, he didn't care about it any longer.

He opened the fridge to prepare his ingredients while Ryūjin Jakka remained in his room and sat down in his coffee table.

While he was at it, he propped his soul phone at the kitchen table near the fridge and played a song.

(Play: Fall Out Boys - Immortals)

"I'll be the watcher....of eternal flame~" Xiu Ye hummed to himself as he wrapped an apron on, sang some words along with the song while he was at it, grabbed a kitchen knife and started cooking.

In just a few minutes later.

"Yo, Ryu! Dinner's ready!" Xiu Ye called for Ryūjin Jakka, taking off his apron, as he set the meals on the dining table.

"Oh! That smells delicious." Ryūjin Jakka licked his lips as he saw his Ramen and Miso Soup.

Soon, the two was sitting and clapped their hands together.

"Itadakimasu"

As they took a sip of their ramen, Ryūjin Jakka let out a blissful sigh of contentment while Xiu Ye nodded in satisfaction to himself.

And thus, another night of Xiu Ye's life passes by.
