Chapter 2: Proceedings.

Pov Arthur.

Today is a hectic day. Tomorrow is judgment day on Sudo. Some are a bit agitated, but it seems it's not because of Sudo's fate, but the points they might lose.

I didn't really care about his situation, if they can, which I believe they will, resolve it. They have Horikita, Ayanokoji, and Kushida. They'll manage somehow.

Lunch came, and this group of enthusiastic students followed the teacher.

Arthur: Aaahhhh - I yawned and pulled out my lunch. Today I brought tomatoes, sugar and kvass.

Cutting the tomato in half, I poured the sugar and started eating, drinking the kvass. It was delicious!

While I was eating, Chiaki came over to me.

Chiaki: Bon appetit, Arthur. Do you have a minute?

Arthur: Huh? Yes, thank you - I chewed my food and looked at her. - Do you want to ask me out or is this about Sudo?

Chiaki: Huh? Is it that obvious?

Arthur: Well yeah, you're either coming up to me to ask me out or for some class related business.

Chiaki: It sounded like I don't talk to you about anything other than going out or asking for advice! - She folded her arms under her chest and furrowed her eyebrows.

Arthur: I'm kidding, so what did you want? - I didn't stop eating my lunch.

Chiaki: You're so careless about Sudo's situation, even though you're eating vegetables with sugar and drinking a homemade drink. From the outside, it seems like poverty.

Arthur: Did you just insult my food? Food that's good for all the diners and cafes you visit? And if you say that about my kvass, don't look at it so greedily. - I pushed my drink to the other edge of the table.

Chiaki: Well it looks that way. And I wasn't looking at it! - She shrieked, waving her arms around.

Arthur: Yeah, I believe you. And about Sudo, they'll figure it out, I have faith in them.

Chiaki: You're lazy, aren't you? - She raised an eyebrow and walked around my desk.

Arthur: What kind of shenanigans are you doing, woman! Trying to bamboozle me so you can steal my kvass? And yes, I'm lazy, but keep your distance, I don't want to share with you. You're not being nice.

Chiaki: It hurts! - She turned away and went to her seat.

What a restless girl. If this keeps up, maybe I should open my own cafe where I'll sell kvass. There are at least three regular customers.

I was just finishing my food when the rescue team came back into the classroom.

Horikita looked thoughtful, but as she approached the table, she turned to me and watched me eat.

I glanced at her before taking a bite of my tomato.

Horikita: ...

Arthur: ... - I pushed my kvass to the other side of the desk again and told Horikita my thoughts.

Arthur: Are you the second person who wants to steal my kvass?

Horikita: No. I want you to help me. Tomorrow is Sudo's trial, so I want you to be there.

Arthur: Me? Why not Kushida or that guy who's eavesdropping on us? - I told her with a nonchalant look and finished my tomato.

Horikita: What!? Ayano-" before she could finish her sentence, Ayanokoji interrupted her.

Ayanokoji: I just happened to overhear and... yeah, sorry Horikita.

Horikita: Never mind. - She looked at me again as I chowed down on my food. - Are you going to help? Or are your words not backed up by actions?

Arthur: ... - I continued drinking and looking at Horikita.

Horikita: ...

Arthur: ... - after finishing the kvass, I put the thermos in my backpack. - I'll help, no problem, but if you want us to win, keep up with my rhythm.

Horikita: You don't think I can keep up with you?

Arthur: You'll see.

Lunch was over and we started listening to the lessons. At some points, Kushida threw random glances at me. Sudo by the way too, it seems like they know that Horikita will ask me to help.

Arthur: Haa... that's troublesome. But if she asked, we'll do even more than she wants. I'll show her that asking for help and relying on someone is acceptable for everyone and not shameful.

After class was over, Kushida called this team together in the classroom for training, since I was now with them too, I stayed with them.

Kushida: For starters, do we have any chance of proving Sudo's innocence?

Sudo: Of course! I'm not guilty! They're the ones... - I didn't let him finish because he started talking too loudly.

Artur: Sudo, that's enough. It's your fault for fighting back there and getting burned like that. About the outcome of the trial, yes. I can see that we'll be able to prove his innocence.

Horikita: Sudo-kun, I'm amazed at your confidence that your innocence is so easy to prove. We have proof, but you still remain in an unfavorable situation.

Sudo: But we have a witness who knows I'm innocent. Besides, those guys have been assholes in the past as well. That should be enough. Bad news for them.

Arthur: She's right, if you're sent there now with Sakura, you'll only get a suspension... - I thought about it a bit and muttered to myself. - If we had it that way, the infractions would only increase.

Arthur: All right, listen up! - I clapped my hands to get everyone's attention. - only those who will be in court tomorrow are staying here!

Yamauchi: Huh? What makes you decide that? You just joined and already you're dictating your rules? - Yamauchi didn't like that idea and glared at me.

Ike: Yeah! Who are you to kick us out?

Arthur: I want to hear silence, but I don't want to calm everyone down. I also need to make sure there aren't any questions from those who won't be there at all. By the way, where is Sakura?

Ayanokoji: She doesn't really like noisy company, so she left. But she'll be here tomorrow.

Arthur: Okay, I'll talk to her tomorrow. - I looked around at the others. What are you sitting around for? I'm waiting until only those who are going tomorrow are left in the room.

Yamauchi: I'm not going anywhere... - but before he could finish, Kushida spoke up.

KUSHIDA: Yeah, okay, Arthur. Let's go guys, let's not disturb the concentration. - She stood up and headed for the door.

Arthur: Thanks Kushida. - I waited for those two to leave. Their looks were full of contempt but they obeyed their mistress. - А? Ayanokoji is leaving too?

Horikita: Yeah, you can only take two people with you there, so I chose you.

Arthur: Huh, me, huh? - I looked at her curiously and continued. - Arthur: you have good intuition. I have experience with this sort of thing.

Sudo: Experience? Have you had any litigation?

Arthur: Ah, no. Just attended a lot of the trials themselves. But not the point. Sudo!

Sudo: Yes?

Arthur: You remain silent, but only Horikita and I speak. If only you are asked, you answer without shouting. - I raised my index finger. - You are forbidden to shout, knock, stand up or anything like that. When you answer, you look at me or Horikita so you don't explode.

Sudo: Okay, I'll do it.

Arthur: You also don't respond to their provocations. You just stare and remain silent. If asked about the process, you just went after them and they provoked you but tried to hit you first, to which you ducked and a fight broke out. Is that clear?

SUDO: That's what happened! They...

Artur: Sudo! - I yelled to calm him down. - See? One more time.

Sudo: Yeah, okay. Phew... - he sighed and replied - they tried to hit me but I ducked and a fight broke out.

Arthur: Good. Now Horikita. - I turned to her and smiled enticingly. - You will ask questions if you have any, but try to ask them to the same person, okay?

Horikita: Hmm, alright, I'll try. But Arthur, you say it's easy to win. What is the basis for your confidence?

Arthur: Experience. So let's now decide how we're going to conduct the course of the conversation.

We continued to discuss for about forty minutes. After the meeting was over, we went home.

In the evening, someone knocked on my room. It was late evening, almost night.

Arthur: Fuck, I just smoked recently, who needs me?

I walked over and sprayed myself with perfume and opened the door. Kushida and Ayanokoji were standing there.

Arthur: What do you want? I'm sleeping.

Ayanokoji: But your clothes...

Arthur: Almost asleep. What do you want?

KUSHIDA: We're going to Ayanokoji's room. It's important.

Arthur: Why? - I don't understand them. What's the purpose of gathering so late?

Kushida: I have something to tell you. Since you're with us, let's go! - She tried to approach me, but I raised my hands in front of her.

Arthur: Tell me first, if I decide it's important, then I'll go.

Kushida: N- well... - she was a little surprised and took a step back. - Arthur: It's about Sakura.

Arthur: And what's wrong with her? Something bad? - I wondered if those guys could have done something to her and opened the door a little.

KUSHIDA: No! I just found out she's an idol! - Her eyes sparkled and folding her arms in front of her, she smiled brightly.

Arthur: What? Who?

Kushida: ...

Arthur: Is there anything else important?

Kushida: No, but Arthur... - I didn't let her finish and closed the door.

Arthur: Idol? Who's that? What the hell...

I shook my head and started to get ready for bed.

***

The end of classes came, and we headed to Sudo's court. Me, Sudo, Horikita, Ayanokoji, and Sakura followed Chabashira. I leveled up with Sakura and spoke to her.

Arthur: Sakura, right? We haven't met, I'm Arthur. Look, what exactly did you see?

Sakura: I-I-I-I saw-" I didn't let her finish.

Arthur: Wait. Stop. - I stood up and looked at her. When she stopped, Ayanokoji followed her and so did the others. Everyone was looking at me.

Arthur: Now take a breath and just say in one exhale.

Sakura: Ugh, I saw them fighting and... one attacked Sudo... then they started fighting. - Somehow, but I did.

Okay, that's enough. You just do the same there and I'll decide the rest for you.

I started walking, the others moved as well. As I approached the teacher's lounge, I noticed one completely uninterested individual.

Not bothering to listen to Chabashira and Hoshinomiya's squabble, I just stared at my phone.

Chabashira: No, school rules are pretty strict. Such cases are dealt with in the school board office.

I heard that sentence and looked at Horikita. She flinched and stood still with her gaze slightly lowered.

Arthur: Huh, that's going to be troublesome. You'll need to decide everything yourself it seems.

Walking up to this office, we entered it. I let everyone in, leaving only Sakura, Ayanokoji and I.

Ayanokoji: You're not going in?

Arthur: I just want to make sure - I looked at Sakura and continued - Are you sure you saw everything?

Sakura: Y-yes. - She nodded vigorously and sighed.

Arthur: Good luck then... to us.

I opened the door and walked into the room.

Arthur: [Your honor, please note, fuck you and your honor! I'm his lawyer] - I made my way to my seat, to the right of Horikita and sat down in my seat.

Horikita: ... - she just stared at the table and didn't even pay any attention to my antics. And for nothing, she was needed.

Tachibana looked at me with slight disdain, and Manabu gave no sign of changing his face.

Manabu: I would now like to discuss the incident that happened last Tuesday with the students. It involved the student council and even the classroom teachers. Secretary Tachibana, you may proceed.

Tachibana: Of course, given the circumstances, the student council is obligated to intervene in this situation. The incident is somewhat unusual. Horikita will lead the process, as he always does.

Tachibana: Due to my busyness, I will be guided by scheduled topics and issues. That is the main rule. I would like to look into this matter, as it is the work of the student council.

Next, she recounted the situation and turned in our direction.

Tachibana: Based on that, we would like to know which version is true. Komiya-kun and two other members of the basketball club went to the place where Sudo-kun had summoned them. There, according to them, they were beaten up. Is that true?

Sudo: What those guys said is a lie. I was called there myself. Komiya and Kondo asked me to come. To be honest, I thought it was stupid, but on the other hand, I knew that they had always been hostile towards me. That's why I decided to come to the designated place.

Arthur: ... - I looked at Sudo and he raised his head proudly, but I decided to interrupt his triumph and said in a whisper. - you have to be quiet, remember?

Sudo: Ah... - he was slightly surprised and scratched the back of his head.

Arthur: He didn't yell, he said well. Good for him.

I looked at Horikita, but she was just staring at the desk, not paying attention.

Komiya: That's not true! Sudo-kun summoned us to that building.

Arthur: Your Honor, my defendant and I are sworn to tell the truth and only the truth and nothing but the truth. Yes, Sudo?

Sudo: Yes! - he nodded vigorously.

I saw Manabu raise an eyebrow but decided to keep silent. The C class students didn't understand why I said that, but Chabashira smiled in surprise.

Tachibana: Both sides claim to have been invited into the building by their opponent. However, there is something common in these stories. There was an argument between Sudo-kun, Komiya-kun, and Kondo-kun, right?

Kondo: I wouldn't call it an argument. Sudo-kun is always asking for a fight.

Tachibana: Asking for a fight?

Kondo: He plays basketball better than us, so he's always bragging about it. We try our best, but our results don't improve much when he's always making us look like fools. So we argue with him a lot.

Arthur: Is there any evidence of this? The fact that he's the first one to start bullying you?

Komiya: Of course! Anyone can attest to that!

Arthur: But Sudo said that you're the one who starts picking on him and others can also confirm that.

Komiya: Lies!

Tachibana: Both sides have expressed their opinions, but we need to come to a final conclusion based on the evidence.

Komiya: Sudo-kun beat us to a pulp. That fight was one-sided.

Arthur: Why do you say he started it when you yourself started it first?

Komiya: Because he attacked us when they were talking!

Tachibana: If Class D isn't willing to present any evidence, I suppose we can continue?

Arthur: Objection. Why should we present evidence when their words were not backed up by any evidence.

Kondo: That evidence is on our bodies! Can't you see that?

Arthur: I don't understand you, how can the presence of an injury prove that she attacked first?

Komiya: Because ... why would we attack it?

Arthur: How would I know? You did it, you answer me.

Ishizaki: He started hitting us first, if we had, he'd be bruised at the very least.

Arthur: Not at all. You could have hit a block or missed and he would have had a fight afterwards.

They just looked at me, and I nonchalantly shifted my gaze to Tachibana.

Tachibana: Since no one has proof, we'll move on to the next part.

Manabu: Regardless of which side caused the other, the fact remains. The fight is one-sided. We will have to draw a conclusion based on the injuries sustained. We have no basis for basing our conclusion on anything else.

Arthur: Is that so? I have a question, if I may?

Manabu: Yes.

Arthur: Did you record the beatings? - I looked at the three of them as if I didn't take their answer seriously.

Kondo: What? How so?

Arthur: The President? Were the beatings recorded?

Manabu: They came the next day and filed a complaint.

Arthur: So no one knows how they left after the fight with Sudou? We can assume that about 12-15 hours passed between the fights. Right?

Manabu: Right.

Arthur: The problem is that Sudou hit them several times, but he didn't beat them up because he saw...

Komiya: That's not true, he...! - I didn't let him finish and interrupted him with a dissatisfied voice.

Arthur: When you're asked a question, then you'll answer. If you interrupt me again, I'll make sure you don't participate here. - I looked at Manabu and continued - Sudo did not beat them up too much and just left. We have the fact that he fought, but not his knuckles, not his elbows, nothing is torn off. But looking at their injuries, we can say that a couple of blows were missing.

I pointed to their injuries. Then I stood up and walked up to Sudo and picked up his knuckles.

Arthur: Since he did not have any objects, I suggest that their current condition should not be taken into account at the meeting and on paper.

Man: I do not agree, he could have hit with his feet and a bag.

Arthur: Who are you?

Sakagami: I am the teacher of Class C. And yes, please respect the chain of command.

Arthur: I don't know any moves that can do that. And even if it were necessary, it would be very difficult and not all professionals can perform it in a fight, let alone on the street.

Sakagami: If it is possible, then why not?

Arthur: Because he is a basketball player and has not done martial arts. He fights on the street, so the moves there are primitive. Any other questions?

Sakagami: No, go on.

Arthur: So, I want these statements to be taken into account in one line: "Received unknown injuries." This is done everywhere where necessary. Do you agree?

Kondo: No! If not him, then who? Who could have beaten us up like that in one night, besides him?

Arthur: … - I continued to look at Manabu, ignoring the questions. - so what decision will you make, judge?

Manabu: That fits. Since it wasn't recorded right away, they won't be taken into account. But the fact remains that there was a fight and Class C points to Sudou as the aggressor.

Arthur: Sudou also denies this.

Manabu smiled slightly, although it couldn't be called a smile. The corners of his lips slightly turned up, but immediately dropped.

I looked at Horikita, who was still looking down. I took her hand, she flinched and looked at me.

Horikita: …! - She just stared at me and I spoke in a quiet voice.

Arthur: Don't be afraid, everything is fine here. I will help if there are problems. Ask the questions you want and remember about one person.

Horikita calmed down slightly and nodded. I smiled and removed my hand. She stood up and began to look at Komiya.

Horikita: Can I ask a question?

Manabu: Allowed.

Horikita: You said that Sudou-kun called you. Then answer the question, who did he call and under what pretext?

Komiya and the others looked at each other, not understanding why she asked this question now.

Horikita: Please answer, she added these words, giving her question an aggressive tone.

Komiya: Kondo and I don't know why he called us. After we finished with the club, he came up to us in the locker room and said that he wanted to discuss something. Isn't it because he doesn't like us?

Horikita: Then why was Ishizaki-kun there? He's not on the basketball team and has nothing to do with this matter. His presence there seems suspicious. Horikita continued to speak, still looking at Komiya.

Ishizaki: That... I came as support. There were rumors that Sudou was cruel. And he's in better physical shape than us. I had to go.

Horikita: Komiya-kun, who called Ishizaki?

Komiya: Kondo and I, what's the question?

Horikita: You couldn't both call him, right? Who exactly contacted him?

They looked at each other, but still didn't drag it out like they did with the previous question.

Komiya: It was me. So what?

Horikita: You were expecting a fight, so you called Ishizaki-kun?

Komiya: Of course.

Horikita: I see. So you brought Ishizaki-kun along because he's considered a pretty good fighter. In case it came to a fight.

Komiya: It was for self-defense. Besides, we didn't know that Ishizaki-kun was a good fighter. We just think of him as a reliable friend.

Arthur: Good questions, I've already figured out how to cut off their lies, but I'll leave that as a trump card.

Horikita: I know martial arts, but only to a certain extent. I understand that it's much harder to win when fighting multiple opponents. That's why I don't quite understand how he managed to defeat you so easily. Especially when you had such an experienced fighter like Ishizaki-kun with you.

Komiya: Because we didn't plan to fight.

Horikita: The main reason for a fight is the release of aggression and adrenaline from both sides. In a situation where you don't intend to fight, the likelihood of getting injured is extremely low. Especially if there are three of you.

Horikita's position is quite reasonable. It is supported by evidence and logic. Komiya, on the other hand, continued to fight back with his weapon.

Komiya: That logic doesn't apply to Sudou-kun. He is incredibly cruel. Even if we weren't in the mood for a fight, it didn't stop him.

Manabu: Is that all Class D asked about? He said coldly.

Horikita: Sudou did indeed injure those students. However, Class C started a fight. There is one student who witnessed the incident. Please bring in a witness of Class D.

The door opened and Sakura came in.

Sakagami: I remember hearing something about a witness, but you are from Class D, aren't you?

Horikita: Is there a problem, Sakagami-sensei?

Sakagami: No, please continue.

Horikita: Continue, Sakura-san.

Sakura: Y-yes, I... - she began to remain silent and looked at the floor.

There was a silence that lasted for ten seconds, twenty. I got bored and called out to her, but before I could speak, someone else spoke up.

Sakagami: It seems she didn't see anything. Further questioning would only be a waste of time.

Chabashira: Are you in a hurry, Sakagami-sensei?

Sakagami: I want to finish this quickly. If we continue to waste time, my students will get hurt. These guys…

Arthur: Please refrain from interrupting or influencing our witness in any way. - I said coldly, looking at Sakagami. Then I softened my voice and called out to Sakura. - Sakura, do as I advised, it will be easier.

Sakagami stared at me with narrowed eyes, but I did not pay attention to him. Sakura collected herself and blurted out the following valuable words.

Sakura: I saw everything that happened! The students of Class C launched the first strike. That's for sure!

Sakagami: Excuse me. Can I say something? - Sakagami raised his hand. - Usually, teachers should not say much, but this situation is too ridiculous. Do you mind, President?

Manabu: I allow it.

Sakagami: I have no doubt in what you said, Sakura-san. However, I want to ask you something. You decided to testify, but you were a bit late. Why is that? If you really saw everything, you should have reported it much earlier.

Arthur: She's shy and didn't dare... - I was interrupted by that man.

Sakagami: I'm talking to Sakura-san, don't interrupt her. - I looked at him with narrowed eyes and remembered it.

Sakura: It's... it's just... I didn't want to get involved...

Sakagami: Why didn't you want to get involved?

Sakura: Because I'm bad at communicating with people...

Sakagami: I see. However, this week, you suddenly decided to testify. It's strange, isn't it? It seems like Class D decided to make up a story and force you to testify.

Sakura: It's... I'm just... telling the truth...

Sakagami: No matter how bad your communication skills are, I didn't hear any confidence in your words. Are you tormented by guilt because you have to lie?

Sakura: N-no, it's not that...

Arthur: In the end, she explained the reason why she was hesitant, but after talking to her, she decided to come. Yes, it took time, but even late witnesses are taken into account because there are different circumstances.

Sakagami: And it seems to me that you simply chose her to fabricate evidence more easily and plausibly.

Arthur: Is this an accusation?

Sakagami: No, I'm just putting forward my idea.

Arthur: Then please forget these words once and for all and don't dare to put forward your thoughts as an argument anymore. If you have evidence, I will consider it necessary to listen to it. Now we have a witness whose words will be counted in any case, because any lie is punishable. That's how the court works.

Sakagami: But without her evidence, nothing will be accepted either.

Sakura: If you want proof… I'll give it to you!

I smirked at the way he froze at those words. The timing was perfect, as if we'd planned this from the start. Manabu even raised an eyebrow at that. Luck had played into their hands, and now they think the conversations had been predetermined.

Sakura threw the photos on the table and Tachibana handed them to Manabu.

Sakagami: What do they show?

Manabu: This photo looks interesting. - He handed over a photo of Sakura taking a picture of herself, with Sudou and the boys fighting in the background.

Sakagami: I see. It seems you weren't lying about witnessing the incident. I can accept that. However, I can't be sure how it all started just by looking at this photo.

Arthur: You don't need to be sure, we're done with you. - I turned to Manabu and continued. - So we have a witness who was there and saw what happened. Do you accept her words?

Sakagami: Chabashira-sensei, what do you think, maybe we can compromise?

Chabashira: Compromise? - I turned my head in surprise to these geniuses who wanted to decide the fate of our class.

Sakagami: I'm convinced that Sudou-kun lied when he spoke.

Sudou: You...!

Arthur: Sudou! Enough!

Sakagami: No matter how much we discuss, we will not come to an agreement. We will not change our opinion, and you will not admit that the witness is lying. In other words, you will not stop. We will remain in an endless cycle of accusing the other side of lying. This photo is not irrefutable evidence. Therefore, I propose a compromise. I am convinced that my students are partly to blame for what happened. Three people came out against Sudou. One of them had a history of fighting. How about two weeks of suspension from school for Sudou, and a week for my students? Of course, the punishments are not equal, but I made a conclusion based on the injuries they received as a result.

Arthur: You are making this ridiculous. I refuse. - I turned to Manabu and continued. - President, if anyone else interrupts or interferes, I ask that you consider this as disrespect for the court, which is the rule.

Manabu: Good. But it is clear that each side holds completely opposite opinions. In that case, one of them is blatantly lying. D or C? Which class is trying to deceive the school? If the answer is found, the punishment will be much more severe.

Manabu: I'm asking you, Class C. Did you lie to us today?

Komiya: O... Of course not!

Manabu: What about you, Class D?

Arthur: I didn't lie. Everything I said is true.

Manabu: We'll hold a reunion tomorrow. At four o'clock. If we don't settle all the differences, we'll rely on the evidence presented today. In that case, it could lead to expulsion. That's all.

Arthur: Huh? Why is it being postponed for that reason? We have stronger evidence in our hands, we haven't even discussed the matter with the witness, but a postponement due to an attempt to settle the differences? What does that mean? - I stood up and looked at Manabu in confusion, but he didn't flinch and answered calmly.

Manabu: At tomorrow's meeting, we'll take all the evidence that was said here, but right now it's not enough, so we'll give it time.

Arthur: What? How is it... - but before I could finish speaking, Horikita tugged at my sleeve and said quietly.

Horikita: Come on, Arthur, we'll think about what to do while we have time.

Arthur: ... - I glanced at Manabu and turned to Horikita - yes, let's go. Tomorrow, they'll be kneeling before me, all four of them.

Komiya: What are you... - he I didn't hear him, because I had already left the office.

I slammed the door open and Ayanokouji even moved away slightly so as not to get hit.

Ayanokouji: Did something happen?

Arthur: A school that shows how the world works? In what fucking place?! If they want to show injustice, they should show those who are above these people! What kind of nonsense is this?! - While I was ranting, everyone else started to leave.

Sakura stood next to Ayanokouji, but Sakagami approached her.

Sakagami: I want you to understand that because of your lies, this will be... - Before he could finish speaking, I stood between them and glared at him.

Arthur: Aren't you ashamed? A man who should have children is starting to pressure a high school girl. And a teacher at that! Do you want to lose your teaching license?

Sakagami: Pfft - he just snorted and left.

Sakura: I tried my best, but do we even have a chance? Horikita?

Horikita: I won't give up. I'll keep fighting.

I didn't listen to them and headed for the exit. Horikita and Sudou followed me.

Horikita: Arthur, what are we going to do?

Arthur: Bah! Of course I'll keep my promise. I went to collect evidence to trample it and get as much benefit as I can. - I stopped and turned to face her.

Horikita: I see, then I won't distract you. I'll think about what to do for now.

Arthur: Huh? Okay, then I'll go.

I left them there and started thinking about what cards to collect, how to play them, and what I could get from winning.

Tomorrow will be a day they'll remember for a long time.

A/h

And so the chapter ended. Almost 4500 words. Do you think that if they explained their arguments like that, then Class D would have been able to graduate on the first day? I think Ayanokouji simply couldn't do it because he doesn't know how trials work in detail and has no experience.

I moved it here because Manabu wanted to see what they could do in a day, what to dig up and prove. You could say that this is our favorite third-year student's game.

As for the canon, do you think it will play out the same way or will it be according to Arthur's idea?
