Chapter 54

Everyone turned to look at Leo, they all wondered what was so funny, but he wasn't bothered at all.

Aunty Flo sat with them as they had their breakfast.

"You won't be going to work today, I already cancel all your appointments for today" Lilian spoke

"Hmmm? I'm fine now"

"I know you are fine, but you still need a lot of bed rest, you collapsed yesterday due to fatigue and the doctor suggests you have absolute rest, so I am saying what the doctor suggested"

"But..."

"My Queen, you can't put too much stress on yourself, just rest for the day and relax, I have also cancelled my appointments for today, so I can send the day with you as well."

"No, you di... Ouch," Leo was about to finish his sentence when Addy kicked him under the table.

"The doctor will be coming later to check up on you anyways" Addy continued

"Will he? When?" Lilian asked curiously with excitement

"Around noon" Addy replied

"Oh" she replied with a sad tone

They soon finished their breakfast, and Eva helped Aunty Flo with the clearing of plates on the dining table. After clearing up, Addy told Flo to come to see him briefly.

"I know you give my mother information about whatever happens in this house"

"No...young master, it isn't like that" she was speechless.

"It's fine, I don't mind, but could you possibly not tell her about Eva, I don't want her to know yet."

"I promise young master, I will not let Madam know about Mistress"

"Thanks, you can go"

She left.

"Wow, you are taking this seriously, that's good" Leo suddenly showed up behind him

"Sort out all the work today and don't be late for work" Addy reminded him

"I was trying to get a hold of you yesterday, but you should have told me about the situation going on here"

"What happened yesterday, that you were trying to get a hold on me?"

"I can't talk about it here, but it's about the tailing case"

"Ok forward the information to my email, I will check it later. Anything else?"

"Did you guys do it last night? he whispered to Addy's ear

"Stupid, get going"

"You don't have to be shy, let me know" Leo teased him

Addy ignored him and went towards the living room, where Eva and Lilian was. They were both discussing stuff about work, so he decided not to disturb them and leave them for now, he went into his studies with Leo.

Leo forwarded the information to Addy's email through his tablet, as he waited for Addy to read through the information before giving a proper explanation.

"So how come you haven't found the identity of their boss?" Addy asked

The information includes the identity of the men and the pictures of both Eva and Lilian on their gadgets, and there's only one contact number, that is used to communicate with whosoever sent them.

"I've tried tracking that number, but it seems it is a burner phone and it has been destroyed, but I have my suspicions on who it might be because we found the area when the last pictures were sent and I know whose territory it is, give me, till the end of the day, I will get back to you" Leo replied

"So those guys are orphans with no criminal history, does that make any sense?" Addy was baffled

"I'm surprised by this information as well, they didn't look like guys without criminal records to me"

"I think someone in a high place, with the power to access the data, is involved" Leo continued

"I swear if anything happens to Eva, or anyone close to her, I will find those people involved and show them hell on earth" Addy replied

Leo was wondering who Eva could have offended, for them to be monitoring her every day. He only hopes they catch the people involved before something bad happens.

"Can you handle all the meetings today, and if anything, don't hesitate to call me. Since today is Friday, you should be fine, without CALLING ME" Addy emphasized on the 'call me' because he doesn't want anyone disturbing his time alone with Eva.

"No worries lover boy, enjoy yourself" Leo replied

He went out of Addy's study room, into the living room to see Lilian packing up her things to leave as well.

"Are you going now?" Eva asked Leo

"Yes I am, I've got a morning meeting in thirty minutes" he replied

"Ok no worries, have a nice day"

"Thank you" he replied Eva

"Lilian don't forget to come to get me after work on your way home" she reminded Lilian

"Yes I definitely will not forget, don't worry" Lilian replied as she hugged her before facing Leo and turning to leave.

"Bye"

"Wait up, we can go down together," he said as he hurriedly packed his things and follow her.

They were both in the elevator quite, Leo wanted to say something but was not sure if she would want to listen or not, so he decided to ask anyway

"Can you not forgive me?"

"Hmmm?" Lilian was surprised by the sudden question

"I have tried to apologise in the ways I can, but it seems you just don't want to forgive me" Leo mumbled but loud enough for her to hear him

"I have forgiven you, but I can't forget" Lilian replied quietly

"I know I wasn't the best boyfriend then, and I took you for granted but I think it's best for you to forget as well, at least for you to be able to move on" Leo spoke genuinely

"I can never forget and please don't push it, because you don't have the right to give me advice or anything" Lilian was getting angry

"I'm sorry, I'm only worried about you because I see every time you look at me, I see pain and anger in your eyes" Leo replied calmly

"Well mind your business, you've done enough in my life" Lilian replied angrily as she stormed out of the elevator.

Leo watched her, as she angrily got in the car.

'Well I've tried my best to talk to her, and I don't know what else to do' he thought.
