A DATE?

The rest of the day, I didn't get another text, nor did I wish for it. I also took my friend's advice to not text them back. They told me that if there were another text, then I needed to tell them ASAP.

I was just about to sleep when my phone rang. It was an unknown number. I was skeptical about picking it up, but then I decided to pick it up. On the other side, I heard a familiar soft voice that I was already dying to hear.

"Hey, it's me, Olivia."

"Hey, how did you get my number?" I asked, not because out of curiosity but because I was nervous.

"Umm... I asked your sister about it." Yeah, I felt dumb by asking that question.

"So what's up?" I asked, to hide that I am in fact very embarrassed.

"I wanted to know if you are okay?"

"Yeah, I am fine."

"Cool, wanna hang out? Later, like a date or something? Around 6 pm?" Did she just ask me out? Yes, she did. I was so excited that she asked me out that I fell off the bed.

"Oh my God, are you okay? I heard a thud," she spoke.

"Yeah, I am fine. It was just my backpack. Yeah, I would love to hang out later with you," I replied, still hurt from falling.

"So where do you wanna meet up? Like go for dinner or something?" she asked.

"Yeah sure, let's go for dinner. I know a good spot." I said that because it felt like she was making an efforts to talk. I wasn't. Well, now I have to ask my sister about cool spots for dinner.

"Okay then, text me the address. Later, see you." She said and hung up. I looked at the time; it was 4 pm. Ain't no way I am late. I ran into the shower the first thing.

I came out and blow-dried my hair, done with hair, picked out the outfit, and everything was ready. Wait, I think I am forgetting something. Shit, I forgot to ask about the dinner place. After cursing myself, I went to my sister. Thankfully she was in a good mood, so she didn't question much, just told me the place.

I texted Liv that I would pick her up so send me her address. I took my dad's car since he has a Porsche 911, perfect to impress a girl. I got my driver's license not too long ago, but it's fine; I am a good driver. I went to Liv's house. She stood there, wearing a white pleated skirt, with a pink tank top, and a white cardigan, literally the apple of my eye. I got out of the car and opened the door for her, like a gentlewoman. I was wearing a black tube top, with a leather jacket, with a black skirt, so we mostly looked like black and white. Since the ride was silent, I decided to play some music. Liv seemed to enjoy what I played. It didn't take much time for us to get there. We went in; it was a really beautiful place. The whole interior was given luxury. Me and Liv sat at the table near the window.

After we were done eating, I insisted that I would pay, since I added dates to the rules. So after arguing, Liv agreed. I could say so far, this was the best night I have had. After eating, we went to take a walk by the sea, which was peaceful.

"I hope you are not stressing about the rumors," she said.

"Nope, not at all, I mean I was stressing in the morning but I don't feel like that no, I'm okay and I hope this rumor doesn't bring conflicts between us," I said.

"No of course not, remember no feelings involved?" she reminded me, only if she knew how much she meant to me, I would burn the world if she asked me to, just ask...

"Want to do something fun?" I asked.

"Yeah of course," she replied.

I took turns and came back to our school. She laughed and said,

"Coming back here is fun? We are coming back in the morning anyway."

"Oh no honey, you have never been to school at night. It's far better than coming here in the day." I said, and jumped over the fence, Liv followed and watched her before she could fall. We raced towards our classrooms, mimicked our teachers, talked about who we hated, and who we liked, and Liv said her first crush was Daniel Radcliffe, while I said, my first crush was Tom Felton. We both laughed when we found out we both fell in love with the actors, after watching Harry Potter, it was a fun night, we talked about lots of things...

"So, like, you have any crushes?" I asked.

"Actually, yeah I do," she said and giggled,

"But they only see me as a friend, I suppose, so it doesn't really matter," she continued, and the vibe died down,

"Should I cheer you up?" I asked,

"Wait, what are you gonna do?" she asked sarcastically and pulled me closer until our lips matched. Damn it, I love it when she makes the first move. I kissed her passionately, I picked her up, and settled her on the teacher's desk, still not breaking the kiss.

I continued kissing her and slowly made my way to her neck, leaving trails of light hickeys, I whispered in her ears,

"Going to do it on teacher's desk? such a bad girl" And kissed her again smiling. I slowly traced my hands, on her thighs, the other hand made it into her tank top, and for the first time, I touched her upper body. I felt goosebumps all over my body, oh god, she had no idea what kind of effect she had on me. My right hand slid down her cardigan. She removed her top, and I unbuckled her bra, for the first time I saw her naked, and my lips touched her skin, I would bet there was no place on her body that I didn't kissed that night. That night was the best one I ever had, we stayed in school till 5 am, and that's when we realized we were late, laughing and giggling we gathered our stuffs and made a run for the car, our phones were in the car, so we had no idea, if anyone called nor did we cared, we sat in the car. I drove to the nearest chick-fil-a since we were so hungry, we ate a lot, and this time Liv insisted she would pay, we ate so much, and laughed whenever someone gave us a weird look.

At 6 am, I dropped her at her house, and I went to mine. As soon as I entered, I was met by my sister's suspicious gaze.

"Where were you?" she asked. I quickly covered her mouth and took her to my room.

"Umm, so I am kind of dating someone."

"You are what! You are in senior year?" she nagged.

"Hey, chill, let me explain," I explained to her what happened between us and all but kept Liv's identity a secret.

"And who is the girl?" she asked.

"I can't tell you, it's a secret between us. Be happy I shared this much with you," I replied.

"Okay, don't share. I will just tell Mom what you have been doing lately," she threatened me.

"Okay, fine! It's Olivia," I said.

"Olivia? Like the one in my class?" she asked.

"Yep, her." I could see Lexi acting to pass out.

"What?"

"Nope, nothing, just a very fun girl you picked. She is out of your league, sissy."

"And why is that so?" I asked.

"She was dating a really popular child celebrity last year. Also, nobody knew much about her, so the rumors didn't spread. But I did see her wallpaper with that celebrity. I forgot his name. Also, I just recently heard that an influencer is also dying to date her," she replied. I was insecure but not much.

"Well, she chose me, didn't she?" I replied, and my sister agreed. We were talking about some other things when my phone buzzed with a text, the same number that texted me before...

I hesitated before unlocking my phone, wondering what awaited me this time. As I read the message, my heart sank, and a chill ran down my spine.

The text read: "I know what you did last summer. And I'm going to make you pay for it."

My mind raced, trying to recall any misdeeds from the previous summer. But nothing stood out. Who could be sending this? Was it a prank? Or something more sinister?

I glanced at Lexi, who was obliviously scrolling through her phone. Should I tell her about the message? Would it only escalate her worries?

Before I could decide, another text popped up: "Watch your back. I'm closer than you think."

My palms grew sweaty as I struggled to keep my composure. This wasn't a joke. Someone was watching me, someone who knew my secrets. But who? And why now?

I couldn't shake the feeling of being hunted, like a prey unaware of the predator lurking in the shadows. And as the minutes ticked by, the weight of uncertainty pressed heavier upon me, suffocating any semblance of peace or normalcy.
