Fear of pain

Today is also a normal day in Nova's life. He woke up, ate breakfast, trained his sword technique, ate lunch, trained with Aurora, took bath alone (he stopped taking bath with Aurora and Misty since a year ago for his future plans to conquer them).

Now Nova is sitting in the garden with Aurora and Misty, who is serving tea and snack for all of them.

" Nova, you can go to sleep today. No need to wait for us. We have some work to do. I'll join you in the bed later" aurora said while sipping the tea.

" Alright, I will sleep first. Good luck in your work, good night" he said as he finished his tea and left.

"Let's finish the work and come back quickly, Misty" Aurora said to misty.

"Why madam?, Are you missing your 'disciple' already~" Misty asked Aurora teasingly.

"Oh! So, you are not going to miss him. Then, you can finish the job alone, and I will accompany him to sleep because I am missing him already" she replied sarcastically.

"Whaaa? I never said I will not miss him. And I certainly will not let you monopolize him" she snapped back at her.

"Then, let's finish the job and come back quickly" Aurora said and disappeared within wind.

"Wait, don't leave me" she also disappeared.

Fortunately or unfortunately, the cold and emotionless maid after living with Nova for years started to melt and show emotions occasionally. But, she will only ever show this side of her to the people close to her. For the other, she will always be the cold, ruthless, emotionless killing machine under the command of duke Aurora.

After Nova retired to the bedroom, he called for Lusty.

'Lusty, are you free?' he asked.

'.....' there is no response.

'Lusty' he called her again.

'….' still there is no response.

Assuming that she is in the process of restoring her lost energy, he did not want to disturb her, so he laid on the bed and began to sleep.

Nova is sleeping deeply, but his facial expression looked like he is in a lot of pain.

He gritted his teeth and curled into fetal position, and his tears ran down uncontrollably.

Like that, Nova spent his night alone thinking about his future just like when he was in Earth but the difference he can do whatever he wants as long as he has power in this world.
