So far the 70 Dogs of War Samuel left in the army have 3 Middle Rank 1 Warriors. But with the cohesion of all 70 Dogs of War they can easily compete against 10!

This is naturally because of the Formations they learnt. By standing in certain positions and attacking in certain ways, even the mortals in the army can compete against Warriors with the help of the formation.

So Samuel wanted to begin teaching his Dogs of War the different Formations. For this very purpose, one of the Dogs of War in the Army requested leave to 'see his family' and it was granted due to the Middle Rank 1 strength of the soldier.

Naturally this was so the soldier could teach the legion the Formations.

Samuel first picked out 105 Dogs of War to form his first legion. This is because a legion has to spend a lot of time training so they can't spend a lot of time on the Eternal Battlefield.

These 105 Dogs of War are around the same height of 6Ft tall and each have a bulky physique. This is to add to the intimidation factor.

In the end Samuel named them the Ironblood legion. Naturally this name was inspired by the look for the armour.

It was a typical set of armour however each piece was a base silver with red dripping down, looking as if they were drenched by blood. Even the weapons were pure red.

Each soldier also had a robe made of a Spiritual Spiders silk to cover their face and for when they are cold, and also another layer of protection.

The Soldiers helmets each had a curled demon's horn on their forehead, but five had two curled horns on their forehead with bright red and silver streaks.

100 had one horn and 5 had two horns. Naturally this related to their ranks. The one horned soldiers were all Low Rank 1 Warriors, while the two horned ones were Middle Rank 1 Warriors.

Samuel also had a three horned one created for the first warrior to step into High Rank 1 to become the commander of the legion.

But the 5 Middle Rank 1 Warriors were the captains and each led a 25 member team. And this was how it would stay.

Every time a Low Rank 1 Warrior managed to break through, they would then be promoted to a captain and gain 25 Low Rank 1 Subordinates and so on.

So all 105 began training after a week since Samuel summoned the Refiner Dog of War.

The first formation they learnt was the easiest and most common formation used by City Lords armies and Organisations. The Kite Formation.

When fighting against a strong enemy, the army will use the Kite formation to trap them within a Kite shape. Its aim is to allow all of the soldiers to launch attacks, but make it easy for them to step out and new soldiers to take their place.

It was incredibly easy to learn, the only difficulty is learning to walk at a steady pace and to step at an exact distance away from the companions.

It would definitely take about a month to learn the first Formation. Luckily they had a mentor Dog of War otherwise it would definitely take longer.

This also makes Samuel wish he got Dogs of War to join other Armies, after all the Fifth Army sucks. Even after years of being a member, the Middle Rank 1 Dog of War has only learnt 2 formations with them.

That's naturally not because of his talent, but because the Fifth Army doesn't have any more!

The two that were taught are the Kite Formation and the Separation Formation, the separation formation is used to fight a lot of disorganised enemies. And it prevents getting in the other warriors way without the chances of being cornered alone.

These two are the most common formations, and are purely military ones. But the fourth, third, second and first army in the city each have a unique Formation.

These formations actually involve Spiritual Energy, allowing Warriors to spread their energy between each other for defensive or offensive purposes. Even mortals can be used in some formations!

But the Fifth Army lost their formation to the First Army, when Nicholas challenged his brother a bit and easily lost.

That was one of the reasons for the Fifth Army's true decline. But at the same time, it is also why the Dogs of War were so easily recruited.

For the other Armies, you must join for life after being heavily assessed. This is to prevent the formations being leaked.

Now that the first legion was organised, Samuel focused on the other reward. 2,000 Racial War System Points.

He had been looking through the system for something worthwhile to purchase but he couldn't decide.

Although from a more in depth description of the product Samuel saw that the best reward is clearing the 50th floor, and the reward is a custom Artifact suitable for the user.

The other rewards are Spiritual Fruits, Pseudo-Artifacts, and some uncustomized Artifacts.

Of course the first couple of floors give very little, generally only a piece of ordinary Equipment, the tenth to thirtieth floors give Pseudo-Artifacts, some of which are useful some aren't.

30th to 40th are Spiritual Fruits, ranging from small grapes worth a month of practice to fruits worth ten years.

41st to 45th is a suit of Pseudo-Artifact Armour, suitable for the Dog of War. And 45th to 50th are the best rewards.

Each reward from the 46th to 50th levels is an Artifact. Although they will be incredibly weak ones first, the 50th floor provides a custom Artifact!

However regardless of anything, the reward is only Low Mortal Artifacts. After all, it is only a basic Tower Trial.
