Chapter 6

''Samueelllll I know you're in there!'' A soft but vicious voice echoed through the halls as the door opened.

Soon a petite figure appeared in the hall. With long hair and a cute face, and the angry look in their eyes didn't match their physique.

''Ah Sally why are you here?'' Samuel whispered curiously when he saw the little figure.

Sally is actually only 12 years old this year, she is the little princess of one of the neighbourhood rich kids.

Of course there were no romantic relationships between the two, actually Samuel once had fond feelings for her nominal big sister Rebecca.

But Rebecca shockingly awakened a Spiritual Root, and a 3inch one! Although not a top tier genius it is still incredibly talented in this smaller city. It was something Samuel had to look up to. At Least before Samuels system awakened.

But Samuel wasn't heartbroken, he only felt that Rebecca was nice and knew her for a long time, there was no romance or shared love and any emotions were cut off equally.

But this Sally had a strange background, she randomly appeared when Samuel was around 10 but the strangest situation happened last year which made Samuel pay a lot of attention to the matter.

There was shocking news that radiated across the neighbourhood, a divorce scandal.

Sally, only 11 years old, actually had a fiancee, and it was a poor boy. No one knows why or how but only that randomly a dishevelled young boy of 15 appeared on Sallys 11th birthday and requested her hand of marriage in accordance to an elders promise.

Of course Sally couldn't be married at 11 so her nominal family have been postponing it since, but what drew Samuels attention was how similar this plot seemed.

Poor boy chasing a wealthy mysterious girl? Naturally this is a protagonist's experience.

Samuel has known that since he was young he can't be classed as the protagonist. What protagonist has a comfortable life and a happy family? The only thing that can be classed as the protagonist's treatment is the Dogs of War System.

Of course Samuel can't confirm that the boy was a Son of Luck, but everything links to it.

But just as Samuel was planning on staying out of this mess, little Sally appeared and latched onto him like a leech.

This led to this strange situation.

''Why didn't you tell me you had a new young maid?'' Sallys cheeks puffed out as she stared angrily as Samuel.

''Ahh… that maids not mine, she was recruited for a friend of mine.'' Obviously Sally didn't believe it but she seemed to have come for a different reason.

''Samuel! I have a job for you if you want it. The pay is a Spiritual Crystal! I heard you have been looking for one for years'' Sally said excitedly.

''Huh for a Spiritual Crystal? What type of Job, i'm not a warrior you know.'' Samuel was shocked when he heard the news, after all a job for 1million credits is an incredible thing.

Of course A1 could go get more crystals but that's going to be few and far between until Samuel can get more Dogs of War.

Obviously the more the better.

''It's simple, I got you a job as a tutor for the daughter of a warrior!'' This can easily show the mysteriousness of Sallys background, after all someone who can contact a warrior definitely isn't an ordinary person.

But thinking about it Samuel is the perfect person. He had been learning since he was born! Studying constantly and always reading. That was his reputation at least.

''Sooo Samuel, are you interested?'' Sally pouted her small face and asked with a slight smirk. Obviously she could tell he was.

''Yeah that would be great, thank you sally'' But as a reply Samuel simply flashed a bright smile causing Sallys face to turn red.

''Alright I'll go tell her! Go to this address on Monday 6pm!'' Sally covered her face and ran out the door.

Samuel turned around to see A1 standing at the top of the stairs watching Sally run off lost in thought.

''Master that girl isn't ordinary. I can sense the Aura of a warrior but I can't determine the level.''

''Its fine, don't think about it. How's your strength.'' Naturally Samuel had previously thought Sally wasn't normal, all this did was confirm his suspicions.

''Master I haven't let you down, although I didn't reach the Middle of Rank 1 I have reached the peak of Low Rank 1. With the right moment I can break through. And my body has at least doubled in physical strength due to the result of the Screaming Fruit.''

''Even if I can't beat a Middle Rank 1 im confident I can last for while!'' A1 described his own situation to Samuel.

Clearly the effect of the fruit was extravagant, the speed of growth was incredible. Normally it would take a couple of months or even years to reach that level.

''Good now that you're stronger I need you to go get some more Spiritual Crystals. Talk to A2 about managing finances in preparation. It will definitely take longer for you to get one this time.''

Naturally Samuel wouldn't be cocky enough to think A1 would get a Spiritual Crystal as easy as he did before. Things like that are a fluke.

Most people venture into the Eternal Battlefield for months or even years and only come out with a few Spiritual Crystals.

That's why Samuel was willing to accept the Tutoring job. A Single Spiritual crystal means 100 energy, or another Dog of War.

Soon Monday came around, and a few days passed. Little has changed in this time, A1 headed off to the Eternal Battlefield, and A2 had successfully become a Low Rank 1 Warrior.

After becoming a Rank 1 warrior Samuel let A2 begin focusing more on business. In order for a Warrior Organisation to work it needs a lot of credits for equipment. So naturally Samuel wanted to get ahead of this.
