After Longyue left Madam Li Zhou's room, she went to rest. When she woke up in the morning, the ground was wet. A thin layer of moss had grown out of the cracks in the stones.
There was a slight chill in the fresh air. Longyue realized that summer was here.
"The examination is drawing near."
Longyue muttered.
She was living in an era known as the Great Zhou Dynasty. The emperor was known as Emperor Zhou. The Great Zhou imperial examination was held in August of the lunar calendar, around the time of the Mid-Autumn Festival.
So Li Qingmu could not spend the Mid-Autumn Festival at home. Longyue thought about how they would be spending the first festival after their marriage apart and felt bad.
She looked at the empty bed beside her. She guessed that the fellow had already gone to the county city to sell calligraphy and paintings. She got out of bed and washed up.
After breakfast, Qiao'er came over, followed by Li Xiangxiang and Li Qingxue.
