Stay safe

Serene felt relief and surge of warmth on her numb heart after realizing who the owner of the number is and his words of care and worry, she saved the number 'grey eyed hero'- her first impression of him. The guy with the must beautiful grey eyes she ever saw and that's something grand considering her carrier as an actress meeting alot of people with unique features that made them beauties enough to be in the carrier and garner fans.

"Serene answer the message or am coming home now!"

"I hope you haven't done anything terrible?"

"Serene!??" Multiple messages from Melvil came in as she stare at the phone, snapping out of her daze she immediately type a response to calm the over worrying freak who hardly shows it on his face.

"Am fine mother bear, so stay safe and study" Melvil who has been worry sick about Serene, his mind disturbing him with different thoughts of Serene committing suicide and succeeding, he won't forgive himself if that happens as he felt inclined, a natural pull and urge to protect and be there for the dimmed star which he himself can't understand why when he doesn't really know her.

"Are you sure you're okay? Your sour and worry mood is affecting me, is it Serene?" His bestfriend Rider whisper yelled next to his ear drawing his attention from the phone he has been typing with under the table reducing his voice so no one hears.

Melvil nodded, his fiddling fingers still hovering over the phones keyboard as he count in his head the time limit before he howl his bag and leave the school.

"Just go and check her, I can give you a ride" Rider suggested again

"She replied!" Melvil's voice cut through as Serene's text came in.

"Am fine mother bear, so stay safe and study" the text read, he released a breath he had no idea he has been holding with a smile stretching on his lips.

"Awwn! Vil you're smiling and there's a blush on your cheeks" Rider exclaimed horrified at the new expression on his bestfriend, when has he ever seen him like this, is Melvik infatuated with the dimmed star? That could only be the explanation to his excessive worry of her wellbeing.

"Oh my gee..pigs can now fly!" He added peeking into Melvil's face who gave him a hard glare.

"Mr. Dewey and Mr. Wolf" the teacher shrill voice sounded as if he caught them maltreating his pet and Rider quickly put his hands up in mock surrender with a sadistic smile.

"Sorry sir! Don't cuff me" the class erupted in laughter and the teacher turn red with anger and embarrassment but choose not do anything and provoke the richest boy in the school, who knows what prank he will pull on him, so he huffed and glare at the young wolf before going back to the board.

"Please stay safe" Melvil typed and send ignoring his bestfriend and the furious teacher who couldn't punish them because he feared him for apparently no reason or because of the rumours about him, and Rider because he's the richest fuckboy, psycho and act like a sadist so on one wanna mess with them.

The bell rang signalling the end of the class and they stood up parting ways to attend the rest of their classes.

"Yup man!" Rider yelled playfully slapping Melvil's arm as they meet after their final bell rang indicating the end of the school for the day.

"So where to?" He ask the grey eyed guy who didn't bother giving the blue eyed a glance.

"To work or..home to see your damsel?" Rider asked again with a teasing tone and wiggling his brows quizzically to which Melvil threw him a cold irritating glare.

"Haha, sorry, sorry" Rider laughed loudly, his hands up in mock surrender as he apologise pretending to be sorry when he actually look like he's really enjoying himself.

"Fine to work, I'll drop you there then" he said again without receiving a response from the quite guy and he actually didn't care, it's always him talking between them with Melvil giving him silent answers or not at all.

They hop into the chelvorol and Rider speed up to a famous restaurant in the upper class part of the city where Melvil work part time job to cater for his and brother's life.

"Hello Becky!" He greeted his boss as soon as he entered the restaurant restaurant seeing the manager around the changing room scolding some workers to hurry up.

"Thanks lord you're here Melvil, can you please hurry up" she pleaded and he nodded quickly slipping into the changing room before going to collect the shift freeing one of their chefs.

Serene decided to make herself busy and she got to clean the house and make some snacks and juice for lunch before getting ready to prepare dinner by going for the grocery, she heard the front door open after minutes of her return from grocery shopping, she continued sorting out the utensils not bothered to check who was it as she was sure it was the silver grey eyed brothers.

"Hello Serene " the shy meek voice of Ashton sounded from the small kitchen doorway and she quickly turn around to greet the cute shy boy back.

"Hello Ash, how was school?" She asked with a small smile on her face. The young boy scrunch up his face before making a bored face.

"Boring as usual" he muttered releasing an exasperated sigh making her release a small chuckle at his adorable action.

He quickly lifted his head looking at the dimmed star's face with widened eyes.

"What!?" Serene asked confused by his sudden stare and he quickly avert his red tinted face.

"You have a beautiful laugh, better than in the movies" he muttered under his breath but she heard him and she widen her eyes in suprise before laughing more.

Ashton quickly ran away with a burning face to avoid further embarrassment and he entered his room clicking his door lock and leaning on it.

"Oh my God!" He muttered clutching his rapidly beating chest before he closed his face with his palm feeling like the earth should just bury him alive before he meet her again.

"Ash?" He heard a knock on his door which he is still leaning on before Serene's voice sounded calling him.

"Come and take your lunch" she said before he realize he hadn't answer and was holding his breath as if expecting something grand to happen.

"Okay am coming" he quickly answered and heard her steps fading away before he got up and wash himself changing into something more comfortable and stepping out of his room to meet his idol, he's gonna eat his idol's cooking, he thought to himself growing giddy.

"Where's Melvil?" Serene asked seeing only Ashton returned home without the older brother, she couldn't help but get curious.

"Oh brother?, he went to work, he'll probably be back by midnight" Ashton answered going back to his juice and snack leaving Serene in thought.

'So he fend for the two of them, don't they have parent? And now am adding to his burden' she thought growing quite restless at the thought of being a burden before a word find itself back to her mind.

"Parents" she muttered quietly remembering her own, she was also like them after losing hers, she had to fend for herself before she graduated and continued to walk her path to the entertainment world where she eventually met her destruction.

"I miss them" she mussitated again without a sound only accompanied with sad melody of her heart.

"Serene?" Ashton's soft voice called plunging her out of the sad thoughts.

Ashton watch the dazed sad looking eyes of Serene quickly gain focus after his call and he wonder if she's thinking of her destroyers.

"Why are you sad Serene?" He voice out his question softly as if not to scare her but she only gave him a small sad smile waving him off.

"Nothing, don't worry your pretty head" she said quickly returning back to her cuisine.

She finished preparing dinner and by the time she was done, the sun has set and the sky blanketed with darkness dusted with small stars and billowing chilly winds of autumn.

She called Ashton from his room who was busy on his school work and laid their dinner leaving Melvil's in the microwave for him to warm it when he return.

"Thank you Serene" Ashton thanked her after receiving the food and he quickly quickly dig in humming in delight at the rich taste, he was astonished the dimmed star knew how to cook and voice out his question before he could burn his curiosity down.

"You knew how to cook?" He asked as if it isn't her culinary he is swallowing without proper chewing. His large doe eyes watching her with curiosity and waiting for a response which made her smile a little at the young and childish boy.

"Yeah I do know a lot in cuisine although I won't say am a professional, my mom was" Serene responded looking into the distance but the boy facing her didn't read her sudden fallen mood.

"Wow! That means you can work in Zara's Cuisine".
