Ch 5 - The Final Touch Before All

With the foundational elements in place and the broad strokes sketched out, Nexus felt a restless excitement. The future beckoned with endless possibilities, and at the center of it all was the game-making endeavor. But before diving into that vast ocean, he had some questions that demanded answers, primarily about the enigmatic 'EC' system.

Leaning back, Nexus turned his gaze towards Lumos. "Lumos, this whole EC thing, is it uniform? Are we dealing with a single type of energy coin, or is there a variety of them?" He paused, pondering further. "And, you know, as much as I like things neat, managing this might become a tad overwhelming. Should I perhaps introduce a separate panel dedicated to work and game creation? You know, for better organization."

No sooner had he voiced his thoughts than a panel, gleaming with a soft hue, blinked into existence before him. It bore a straightforward yet surprising message: 'Congratulations on unlocking a new feature & new knowledge.'

Baffled, Nexus's eyes darted between the panel and Lumos. "Did I trigger this? What's happening, Lumos?"

Lumos, processing the new data stream, took a moment before replying, "It appears, Master Nexus, that this realm still holds many secrets waiting to be unveiled. Based on the transmission I received from my creator, there are certain features and details that have been locked for now. They will reveal themselves depending on specific actions and circumstances you find yourself in."

Raising an eyebrow, Nexus replied with a hint of amusement, "A game within a game, huh? Your creator does enjoy adding layers of intrigue. It keeps things spicy, I suppose. I'll give them that."

Smiling at the thought, Nexus continued, "Mysteries are the spice of life, after all. They promise something new at every turn, ensuring I won't find myself drowning in monotony. So, Lumos, unveil this mystery for me. Let's see what we've unlocked."

Lumos responded with a nod, his circuits whirring to life, ready to dive deep into the newfound knowledge.

With that, an ethereal panel materialized before him, shimmering softly. It bore a conspicuous title: 'Empty title.'

Nexus quirked an eyebrow, the title piquing his curiosity. "Lumos, why does it say 'Empty title' up there?"

Lumos, having processed the information earlier, responded promptly, "Master, that space is reserved for the name of your realm."

Nexus's eyes gleamed with understanding. "Ah, I see. A signature to claim my dominion." He paused, musing on possibilities. "Let's go with 'Origin Dimension' for the title. It encapsulates the essence of our journey. And as for the Alias, hmmm... Let's go with 'Origin'. Sounds fitting, doesn't it?"

Lumos's circuits lit up in agreement, "An excellent choice for both the realm and the brand, Master Nexus. They both resonate with the core essence of our endeavors."

The panel responded to their conversation, the 'Empty title' fading and getting replaced with 'Origin Dimension', and the 'Alias' filling in with 'Origin', setting the stage for Nexus's next big venture.

After seeing the panel, Nexus seemed to be lost in thought, his fingers drumming softly on his chin as he processed all the new information. Finally, he broke the silence, "Now that's a lot to digest in one go. But, Lumos, I'm curious... What exactly are Origin EC, Transreal EC, and Voiden EC?"

Lumos, always ready with the data, responded, "Certainly, Master Nexus."

With that, a panel appeared before Nexus containing the data for the EC types.

Origin EC: This is a highly refined energy exclusive only to your realm. It represents the fundamental energy coin used within your domain, primarily sourced by converting the energy derived from the players' interactions within the games you craft.

Transreal EC: This is a more advanced form of energy than Origin EC. It is solely designed for all sorts of interactions across universes. Whether it's to publish games, visit different realms, or engage in any other cross-universe endeavors,

Voiden EC: It is the most potent EC of all ECs, granting you access to knowledge, and items, whether found in any known multiverses, existing within the multiverses but unknown, or new knowledge that has yet to be discovered by any multiverses.

Nexus blinked a couple of times, taking a moment to grasp the gradations. "Interesting. That's quite a neat system you've got there. So, I can earn Origin EC from the games I craft, but how do I obtain Transreal EC and Voiden EC, apart from converting? Also, what's the conversion rate between these EC types?"

Lumos, without hesitation, explained, "Acquiring Transreal and Voiden EC isn't as straightforward as earning Origin EC. They are not obtained through typical game interactions. Their essence requires more profound engagements and achievements within the multiverse. As for conversion, 100 Origin EC can be converted into 1 Transreal EC. And for the much rarer Voiden EC, you'd need to convert 100,000 Origin EC."

Nexus leaned back, his eyebrows shooting up in surprise. "Wow, that's quite the steep conversion rate, especially for Voiden EC. But given its potency and rarity, it does make sense. It's like hunting for a rare gem amidst countless stones. It gives me something to work towards, a challenge if you will. And you know me, I never back down from a good challenge!"

Lumos, recognizing Nexus's inherent drive and determination, responded, "Indeed, Master Nexus. I have no doubt that you will find innovative and efficient ways to accumulate these ECs and maximize their potential."
