The dark tower

Gaby and farhat reappeared in the streets of sorceror city close to a tall dark tower which had been converted to a prison that held all manners of ferocious criminals and beasts alike, beasts who were once normal animals and demons but had gone berserk.

The streets in which the tower stood tall into the sky was deserted and empty except for a few normal animals which still roamed the area.

Peering through the corner they stood Farhat could tell what his friend was planning.

"You are not thinking of breaking in there are you?"

"I have always been able to,only now something is altering my telepathy into the place or maybe it's cos I've used a lot of magic energy".

Gaby faced Farhat and looked deeply into his eyes,"You have to lend me some".

"How do I do that?"

"Place a hand on my shoulder and channel your magic energy into me".

"Bet it's not as easy as it sounds".

Gaby sighed, took a deep breath and drew closer.

"Ok look... your magic is yours, you control every bit of it and at your own will you have to bid it into another host... me".

Farhat raised a brow

"Where did you learn this?"he questioned.

"This is no time for where friend..I trust you can do this...we can't get through all those guards outside and we have to get to the death hole".

"What is this death hole?how do we get a hell dog out of there?how do we even keep this hell dog and where do we hide it?what if we get caught?"

"I'll teleport us exactly at the spot and you'll see for yourself but I promise we won't get caught as long as you don't do something stupid".Gaby finished and took out the teleporting device.

Placing his hand over it and glowing with a blue light,he channeled his magic energy into it and the device began rotating.

Farhat hesitantly placed his hand on his shoulder and shut his eyes.

He focused and felt his magic energy coarsing through his entire body then he found it's exact location it was in him him, shut in his body and stationary, awaiting to do his biding.

Farhat took a deep breath and directed it,led it out of him, into the person he held.

Steady and carefully did he let it flow out,yes it had to be done with caution,so as not to let them all flow out of him and have himself drained of magic.

He felt it pushing out as it was being channeled,it was as though it all desired to leave his body, maybe because he hadn't gotten the hang of it yet.

Trying his possible best to steady it's flow,Farhat felt his hand tremble.

Gaby felt it too,he paused his spell and turned to look at his friend behind him.

He was trembling as beads of sweat trickled down his chin.

Having realized what was going on, the young sorceror quickly moved away, cutting off the flow of magic energy.

Farhat still held Gaby's gaze for a while as he watched him pant.

Gaby's expression flattened, filled with guilt as he had asked his friend to transfer his magic energy without giving him instructions on how to.

He wondered how much magic energy had left him already.

Spiritual energy was always at a tendency to leave a demon's body.Good thing in their stablr form they could keep it in a steady state, within them where it should be.

That was why weaker demons like them couldn't transform to a full fledged demonic state,if they did all magic power would leave their body as they would loose control of their magic energy,be drained of it all and unable to return back to their normal forms.

Such demon would go rogue, there where many young demos like that in the dark tower. If left to roam the streets they would feast on their fellow demons who moved about in their steady state.

They were locked up in there and till this very

day mighty sorcerors and healers had tried countless spells to cure them to no avail.

A disability that had something to do with the curse upon them and the incurable Illness from centuries ago.

So far only middle midtier demons could transform into a full form and turn back, only from such level would a demon have full control over his magic energy.

Gaby resumed his spell again and teleported them inside the tower.

The fact that he succeed this time made a wide grin form on his face, but it disappeared when he turned back to see Farhat still panting.

"Are you ok?"

"Yeah am fine"

Gaby searched his bag for a moment then took out a plant.

When farhat percieved it's smell,he knew what it was,a rejuvenation plant that boosted a demon's strength but not spiritual energy.

He quickly took it and chewed on it without a second thought.

Only after collecting the plant did Farhat take a good look at his surroundings.

The walls surrounding them was so tall that he couldn't see through the darkness where they stopped above them and below at their level was lightened up by endless rows of candle stands that hung on the old black walls.

The whole place held a combined unpleasing stench of abnormal demons and animals they didnt have the usual demonic or animal smell, the smell was different and both combined made him sick,he couldn't wait to get himself out of here.

Farhat looked in front of him and saw Gaby standing on the edge of a wide pit that covered most of the space in the chamber.

"This place it's...it's bizzare...the hell dogs are they_"

Gaby nodded without turning to look at him.

Farhat walked towards it and looked down into the hole then he averted his gaze to Gaby.

The darkness from the hole that stared back at his face made his skin crawl that he didn't want to take another look, the barks and growls from below were even more terrifying.

"What in the world is down there?"

This time,Gaby turned to him.

"The hell dogs...are you ready for a long fall?"
