Applebuck Season, a Mean Gryphon, and Ceremony...

Ha it's here!!! Me be back XD

So I had a very weird weak because I was completely exhausted every time I returned from work and I went to sleep early. Honestly I wanted to write some chapters in advance but I just couldn't, and I ended up scribbling two during breaks XD Not like I expect the following days to be any different but I hope to write at least a chapter every two or three days.

You guys can give me you life force or something to help. I wouldn't mind XD

"...And if we add the "reversed Patron" To the regular glyph of "Attack" and mix it with a standard summoning formation for Golemancy, We would probably get some wild rampaging magical monstrosity..." Muttered Starfall as he was trying to figure out the meaning of yet another Magic Word.

"Or a guard golem..." Pointed out Twilight.

"Or a guard golem...Ugh I hate words with double meaning! You put a bit too much intent into the wrong interpretation and your Invisibility spell causes your hair to play violin!" Exclaimed the unicorn with an annoyed expression.

"But you have to agree that it was funny." Giggled Twilight remembering that situation.

Starfall snorted but then became serious.

"That might have been funny but if somepony used this "Patron" instead of the regular one, they could get seriously hurt." He sighed scribbling the warning about this particular symbol.

Twilight brushed over his side with a smile.

"But that's why you are making this book, right? To advance our magic and ensure that other didn't get hurt from an incorrectly cast spell. You're really working hard and I truly admire your dedication Love." She said and Starfall smiled at his clingy marefriend's complements.

Suddenly there was a commotion outside of the Library so the duo decided to check what was happening.

There was many ponies running away and behind them was what could only be called a cow stampede!

The duo was about to jump in front of the cows and stop them but they were beaten to it by somepony else.

It was Applejack!

She showed a lot of skill with her lasso and agility as she actually jumped while using the cows as a foothold and stopped the stampede with the help of her dog Winona, by leading them out of town.

As she was admonishing the cows for getting scared of a garden hose, she was approached by the two unicorns.

"Hey Applejack! Great work back there!" Called out Starfall.

"Yeah! You were really impressive!" Added Twilight.

"Oh! Hey there Twilight, Starfall! And Thanks fer the compliment. Rodeo's just my thing so why shouldn' I help when I have the ability?" She said humbly but she was still smiling.

Starfall also spotted a small blush lingering on her face after she glanced at him. He smirked and approached her before whispering into her ear.

"Why Jackie! Are you blushing? Are you perhaps remembering yesterday's party?" He winked at her and her slight blush quickly turned crimson.

Twilight saw the exchange and wondered what they were talking about. she didn't remember anything happening between Starfall and Applejack at the party but who knows. With how much Cider there was they could have bucked all over the library and she wouldn't realize... but Starfall wouldn't go so far so soon so they probably just kissed when she wasn't aware.

After a bit of a leisure chat the two unicorns learned that the Apple Family just started Applebuck Season and Big MacIntosh broke a rib after falling from a bunch of boxes.

Starfall instantly offered to help the farm pony as he knew from the show that she won't be able to take care of it alone, but like he expected she didn't want to bother them so he decided to push her conscience. He already made a good progress when he was helping her to move the baskets, so he was sure he'd be able to convince her to let them help her today.

And just like he expected, Applejack finally yielded and agreed under the condition that she would be able to help them in something later.

Starfall quickly invited the other girls and together the Apple Orchard got completely cleared out in only a single day.

Everyone were exhausted with all the tree bucking and carrying of apples but Applejack gave them some delicious apple juice and everyone spend the evening together in a pleasant atmosphere.

There was some teasing And the girls acted clingy to Starfall but none yet tried to do anything more than a cuddle.

Fluttershy continued to blush and send and receive smiles from Starfall through the entire evening.

Soon everyone left to do their own things but Applejack asked Starfall to stay for a second.

When they were all alone, Applejack smiled and gave him a kiss on the cheek.

"Thank you. I...I admit...I don't think I could have done it all without you. I expected at least a weak of work without sleeping yet here I am almost done in only half a day." She sighed with a thankful expression.

"It's a matter of course Jackie." He caressed her cheek. "I'm always there for you just like everyone. Don't think for a second that we will accept your help and not give anything back. Just look at what happened today. I'm sure there would be many ponies who would like to help you in collecting the apples and you saving them from that stampede would be just a drop in the sea of reasons why. You are honest, helpful and kind. Whenever there is a problem, Applejack always comes to the rescue. So don't be scared of accepting that help from others." He told her gently.

"I won't. Don't worry."She smiled, before catching his lips in a kiss.

She smiled at him mischievously before licking her lips.

"I wanted to see how you taste without Cider. Don't worry. I can't say I'm disappointed." She winked at him before turning back and leaving him to his own devices, but not before lifting her tail a bit to give him a glance of her treasury...

Next day a ceremony was held in recognition of Applejack's bravery, loyalty and reliability.

Twilight wanted to give a speech but was interrupted by Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy who gave her own praises to the orange farm pony while expressing happiness at the prospect of working with Applejack on various tasks in the nearby future.

Mayor Mare presented Applejack a trophy of merit to the town which the orange mare accepted while feeling very touched.

The next few days were rather leisure, with Applejack making sure to repay her friends for their help by helping them in various tasks despite their assurance that it wasn't needed.

Rainbow Dash built a large catapult-like contraption that the two mares used to launch the colorful pegasus into the sky with considerable speed in order to practice her flying tricks.

Pinkie Pie asked Applejack to help her in baking cupcakes which turned out delicious and everypony praised the two mares for their baking talents.

Finally Fluttershy asked Applejack to help her round up the baby bunnies in the forest for her bunny census. Everything went smoothly and it was confirmed that ponyvile was seven thousand five hundred sixty nine bunnies richer compared to last year...

The following weak saw Starfall deeply immersed in his studies. He didn't know that girls had an altercation with Gilda the mean Gryphon as he wasn't present during the situation, but he comforted Rainbow Dash with her loosing a childhood friend nonetheless. He also told her that while now they might be at odds, most gryphons are mean for the sake of principle... There might come a day when they reconcile and until then she still has all of them to be best friends with.

Starfall received a peck on the cheek in return and he considered this a 'mission accomplished'...

Nothing else happened for the rest of the weak other, than Starfall making some finishing touches to his Magic Encyclopedia, and the day of Luna's Reenactment finally arrived. Starfall and the girls took the train to Canterlot despite his whines about how slow it is compared to teleportation and after a few hours, the white marbles of the palace pavement unraveled in front of them. There were thousands of ponies standing in front of the castle waiting for the ceremony, so it was really hard to reach the actual castle though...

Thankfully someone had a good idea of sending guards to escort them into the foyer where the ceremony was supposed to be held.

As soon as they came into the large chamber that usually housed Celestia's throne, they were accosted by an enthusiastic Luna.

"Starfall! Everyone! You're here! I'm so glad you could attend. I really missed you all!" She said once again shocking Starfall with how unprincess-like she behaved. Where was this Princess of the night that always used her Royal Canterlot Voice to intimidate the speakers?

Starfall was really confused with that part but he didn't have much time to think about it because said princess clearly longed for a hug and he wasn't one to refuse a hug from a beautiful mare. Even if that mare was his fifty generations separated god-like powerful aunty...
