Diary of a Teenage Alpha

Big-hearted and witty, Samantha Kingsley is the Alpha's daughter who grew up learning to meet everyone's expectations. But Samantha isn't a pup anymore, she's in high school now, and is just about to discover that her life is written by her choices. Not by dreams, or prophecies, or even the moon goddess. This girl is going to protect the happiness of her pack and everyone she loves. Read her diary here. Updated every night. Mon-Sat Volume Synopsis VOL 1 It's the first week of school. Despite my failed attempt to make a friend, I somehow ended up surrounded by a handful of wolf classmates, got accepted by the human "cool" girls, and became a vampire's guard dog? VOL 2 I think I'm just starting to get the hang of school. From navigating school halls, new friends, vampires, and school clubs... Back home it should have been the usual drill, but things started shifting. And I urm...might have been messing around where I shouldn't. VOL 3 I had to miss a couple of school days this week due to my ah, long term bout of "anemia". It's been pretty intense at home. My alpha position was challenged, rogues burnt down our home, I rescued my first fight dog, discovered the Lorent's secret oracle, almost rescued my mate...and accidentally stumbled into my Alpha Dad's secret. VOL 4 My worlds collide as some members from my pack come to my school to sell concert tickets. And when Grandpa Alpha shocked us all by dying, my dad's family comes together to pay their last respects at the Night Forest Pack. VOL 5 It's February and the Vampire Queen is celebrating her birthday. Would Rebel's plan to escape work out? Meanwhile, I'm stuck in school dealing with high school drama, an evolving wolf, and a new human sister. In the Red Packlands, war nearly breaks out. (This might have been a very little bit my fault.) VOL 6 It's the week of Valentine's Day, but I've got a highschool play, Lorent drama, Vampire slaying training, and an underground army to deal with first. And then warlock weather threw an extended snowstorm at us. The whole of Green Packlands goes into lockdown - but what about Valentine's Day? VOL 7 Exams are a week away, and it feels like my time at Winderhill is really coming to a close. I'm trying to be a good student, but there are paparazzi camped outside my school, I ran with rogues (I'm shocked too), Maria just had to enter her dark cycle in school...My life is too exciting to study for exams. VOL 8 It's exam week, but I've got far greater problems brewing at home. The prophecies are merging. River's stone had unlocked warlock trouble, the rogue king has moved in, and then there's Uncle Louis' economical problems... one at a time. Just let me survive Code Black and figure out what's going on at Heller's first, and I'm sure everything else will work out somehow. VOL 9 Its the last week of school and the exams are over. Its like for better or worse, all the big bad things are over now. At home, My pack works to clean up the aftermath of the rogue war, the warlock's defeat, and Jude's betrayal. In school, everyone treats me more or less the same... like a freak. Meanwhile, our school play is in dire straights, and as the Last Hurrah's debut draws near, I get ready to say good bye to Winderhill for good. VOL 10 We follow Dad to the past to stop the traitor (AKA Jude), from ever stepping into our Packlands. It would've been a good plan too - if it didn't change EVERYTHING. Now, I can't help but feel my life is ruined. Nobody understands me. Is it selfish of me to wish none of this ever happened? Why does my world have to be so magical?

PLAN D WAS DABOMB

The rogues had quickly let themselves into our home. We even locked the back door so it would be a 'challenge', but they had the lock picked very quickly.

"We might need to think about upgrading the lock." Beta Lucas observed.

It felt a little like we were watching a documentary/ reality show... "With hidden cameras planted by our expert team of technical researchers, we are able to observe the wild rogues in their natural habitat..."

The 'wild rogues' had appeared from behind the tree line with their shorts on. It reminded me of the rogues I met at the lunch behind the Morning Light's destitute home. Very modest, these dudes.

Once inside the house, they had pulled on gas masks and looked around. Killion had the sense to leave some of the dinning ware around, to make it look as if we had been too tired to finish the washing.

One of the rogues took off his mask to eat the leftovers vegetable terrine. Another one smacked him on the back of his head. The first rogue re-masked and they moved deeper into the house. They moved cautiously.

There were 3, 4, 5...

"Seven rogues in the house." Beta Lucas confirmed. And then he added, "Three wolves outside, and another one in the car."

"Take down the ones outside. And seal the door." Dad growled. I don't think he liked seeing rogues in his home.

Beta Lucas mindlinked the order.

Gamma Harry and Jonah were soon sneaking on the back porch, sealing the door. They seven inside were trapped! Jonah gave a thumbs up to the surveillance camera we set up on the porch. Hahaha.

They disappeared back into the woods.

"External rogues secured." Beta Lucas reported.

Meanwhile the rogues in the house had split up. One of the wolves went to Savy's room, two entered my room, and the last three went into my parent's room.

Looks like the "secured" wolves didn't manage to alert them. So far so good (for us, not them).

But how did they know which room was ours? Whoever told them didn't tell them about Killion staying with us though. They didn't even checked the guest room.

And then they shot at the sleeping lumps in the head. Woah. They hadn't even bothered to creep up close! After that they pulled open the sheets and realized they as been tricked.

All hell broke loose. They started tearing the rooms apart, searching wardrobes and bathrooms, even under the beds.

Meanwhile, our warriors had surrounded our home. The plan was to call for their surrender. But wait!

"Wait! What are they doing?" I asked.

Everyone paused to watch the rogues suddenly calm down and take something out of their jackets. They placed them into our beds. Then they left the rooms.

"What's that?" I asked.

We looked at Killion who shrugged, "I don't know... My family died at the gun shots."

He looked at Rebel who growled, "How would I know?"

"For someone who will inherit the family business, you really don't know anything, do you?" Killion mocked.

Rebel growled back, "My family would never work with rogues."

The rogues started placing more of the mysterious boxes around the house.

"If you weren't my Luna..." Killion growled.

"You'd what?" Rebel countered.

And suddenly KABOOM!

"Now I remember why we always killed the rogues at the border." Dad groaned. He pinched his brow with his hand.

Our rooms had exploded, followed by the stairs. As the explosions happened, the cameras would go off. The rogues made it to our kitchen, but they were sealed inside. Now they began to panic. Our home was going up in flames. The rogues were trapped in the inferno. More screens went black. Apparently our new surveillance system wasn't fire proof.

"Warriors to form perimeter. No escapees. Get fire department," Dad grabbed a dart gun, "Grab a gun and follow me."

Beta Lucas relayed the orders while grabbing a gun.

Ben grabbed a gun. Harvey grabbed a gun, Killion grabbed a gun, naturally, I grabbed a gun too. It was the last one.

I heard a low growling, what now? I spun around and Rebel took the gun from my hands.

"Mine!" I protested. What the heck.

"No, mine." He said, he picked up a ribbon of hair and kissed it, so that I realized he was talking about me, and not the gun.

Mum made a sighing sound that reminded me of Carlie.

"I'll go. You stay." Rebel ordered. How dare he order me!

"Let's go, Luna!" Ben shouted from the door. The traitor!

Rebel soothed my hair back down. Even my hair betrayed me and submitted. Grrr... You might have tamed my hair, but I'm still angry with you.

And then the men were gone.

The ladies cleaned up the mugs of coffee and tea in the laundry sink at the utility room in the basement.

Mrs Beta's basement had a utility room on one side for laundry, a storeroom under the stairs, and a secondary pantry room with a two large freezers. The rest of the basement was like a large messy den. If there ever was an apocalypse, I'll come here.

"I have ice-cream in the freezer." Mrs Beta offered. Lizzy and Savy cheered and went to choose the flavor.

"Don't worry, they'll be back before you know it." Mum told me.

I wasn't worried. I was missing all the fun. T.T

Mrs Beta patted a large bean bag next to hers. Mum led me over and sat down with me.

Lizzy and Savy returned and joined us in a circle of beanbags around a round coffee table. They had brought with them two tubs of ice cream and spoons to go around.

"This is a little like a sleepover." Mrs Beta said as she opened one of the tubs, "It's been a while."

"I don't remember the last time I had a sleepover." Mum said.

"Ohhh... Tell us about your sleepovers, just the juicy bits." Lizzy said.

"It's hard to remember." Mrs Beta said.

My first sleepover. But I wouldn't have any stories juicy or otherwise to tell my children though. I fell asleep.

I would have stay asleep too if Wolfie hadn't gotten so excited.

{Mate is back! Mate is back!}

Stupid love sick puppy. Wolfie, not me. I'm not that into my mate. He's bossy and dumb. Oh yeah, and I'm still mad about being left behind. I refused to wake up.

"She's sleeping." I heard mum say.

"Did she give you any trouble?" Dad asked.

"No, she was as quiet as an angel." Mum answered. And then I supposed she was turning to Rebel when she said, "Having her mate around really calmed her."

"I totally understand the feeling." Dad started growling. Mum purred.

I'm trying to sleep here, parents! No PDA!

I felt someone come close, the smell of new jeans, a bit of Killion...but not. The someone growled, his voice so low, like the rumbling of deep undercurrent water, "Princess I'll be waking soon."

And then he stood up and left.

I could hear his footsteps leaving and the guys calling bye like regular friends, almost as if they expected him to come visit again.

I opened my eyes just to see his departing back. He raised a hand to wave bye. I think he meant to walk out of our sight before disappearing, but he didn't make it out the door.

In the next moment, he disappeared.

Everyone stood rooted to the spot staring at the empty space where Rebel last stood.

I closed my eyes and decided to go back to sleep.

{Mate's gone} Wolfie whined.

I don't care.

{It hurts} Wolfie whined.

I remembered Maria's overdramatic performance when we first met.

I don't care.

I really don't care.

"Let her sleep another hour. We will stay till morning and move to the apartment in the packhouse when the girls leave for school." Dad's voice took charge again.

I felt Dad pick me up, presumably to move me to a bed, but I opened my eyes. I didn't think I could keep pretending to sleep. He put be back on my feet.

"Your mate left, goddess." Killion informed me.

"I don't care." I sulked, "He made me miss all the fun."

Killion just laughed, "You're a terrible liar, goddess."

Rebel's POV for this event is available in Volume 0 in case you're curious, or want a second opinion. hahaha.
