Diary of a Teenage Alpha

Big-hearted and witty, Samantha Kingsley is the Alpha's daughter who grew up learning to meet everyone's expectations. But Samantha isn't a pup anymore, she's in high school now, and is just about to discover that her life is written by her choices. Not by dreams, or prophecies, or even the moon goddess. This girl is going to protect the happiness of her pack and everyone she loves. Read her diary here. Updated every night. Mon-Sat Volume Synopsis VOL 1 It's the first week of school. Despite my failed attempt to make a friend, I somehow ended up surrounded by a handful of wolf classmates, got accepted by the human "cool" girls, and became a vampire's guard dog? VOL 2 I think I'm just starting to get the hang of school. From navigating school halls, new friends, vampires, and school clubs... Back home it should have been the usual drill, but things started shifting. And I urm...might have been messing around where I shouldn't. VOL 3 I had to miss a couple of school days this week due to my ah, long term bout of "anemia". It's been pretty intense at home. My alpha position was challenged, rogues burnt down our home, I rescued my first fight dog, discovered the Lorent's secret oracle, almost rescued my mate...and accidentally stumbled into my Alpha Dad's secret. VOL 4 My worlds collide as some members from my pack come to my school to sell concert tickets. And when Grandpa Alpha shocked us all by dying, my dad's family comes together to pay their last respects at the Night Forest Pack. VOL 5 It's February and the Vampire Queen is celebrating her birthday. Would Rebel's plan to escape work out? Meanwhile, I'm stuck in school dealing with high school drama, an evolving wolf, and a new human sister. In the Red Packlands, war nearly breaks out. (This might have been a very little bit my fault.) VOL 6 It's the week of Valentine's Day, but I've got a highschool play, Lorent drama, Vampire slaying training, and an underground army to deal with first. And then warlock weather threw an extended snowstorm at us. The whole of Green Packlands goes into lockdown - but what about Valentine's Day? VOL 7 Exams are a week away, and it feels like my time at Winderhill is really coming to a close. I'm trying to be a good student, but there are paparazzi camped outside my school, I ran with rogues (I'm shocked too), Maria just had to enter her dark cycle in school...My life is too exciting to study for exams. VOL 8 It's exam week, but I've got far greater problems brewing at home. The prophecies are merging. River's stone had unlocked warlock trouble, the rogue king has moved in, and then there's Uncle Louis' economical problems... one at a time. Just let me survive Code Black and figure out what's going on at Heller's first, and I'm sure everything else will work out somehow. VOL 9 Its the last week of school and the exams are over. Its like for better or worse, all the big bad things are over now. At home, My pack works to clean up the aftermath of the rogue war, the warlock's defeat, and Jude's betrayal. In school, everyone treats me more or less the same... like a freak. Meanwhile, our school play is in dire straights, and as the Last Hurrah's debut draws near, I get ready to say good bye to Winderhill for good. VOL 10 We follow Dad to the past to stop the traitor (AKA Jude), from ever stepping into our Packlands. It would've been a good plan too - if it didn't change EVERYTHING. Now, I can't help but feel my life is ruined. Nobody understands me. Is it selfish of me to wish none of this ever happened? Why does my world have to be so magical?

FUTURE SAM LOGIC

"But I wonder…" Our Fluffy made his pretty smile and said, "If you know about us coming to stop Pretty Alpha from disappearing, why did she leave?"

And just at this moment, the Time Gate opened and Future Sam calmly stepped out with Parry at heel.

"Speak of the devil." Both Bens said at the same time, and then they glared at each other at the same time.

"Alpha Princess is here." My good beta intoned because that was really the right way to announce me. (Ben was the only Beta who would call me the devil.)

"Princess…" Future Bell narrowed his eyes at her appearance.

Oh boy was I in trouble now. But not only was my future self more beautiful, my future self was also completely unaffected by Bell's obvious upset.

Future Sam smiled, her blue hair splayed in a passing wind. It was like watching the goddess herself step out of a painting.

The goddess laughed behind her hand and then brushed off the cursed fumes leaking from her mate, "What's wrong, Bell? Who made you mad now?"

Obviously it was her! I mean, if she KNEW about Future Ben coming three years ago, and if they could save Neil and Hayao and our land from dying, then she should have jolly well known that using the Time Gate would result in her disappearing! Then everything they had worked so hard to preserve would be in vain!

I mean, even I knew that! Did I grow up to be stupider? Maybe I exchanged my intelligence for the extra beauty points. Because I was really beautiful. Mum would be thanking goddess for the rest of her life.

"I'm not mad." Future Bell scowled, and then a black portal opened behind him.

He lifted a hand to signal Leon and Laru to follow, "I have no time for your games, princess."

And then Future Bell reached out to lift up a lock of the goddess' hair. I couldn't help but stare. I watched as he lifted it briefly to his lips. This was what Bell did even now, but watching it happen was just so weird.

I was also not prepared at all to see that in the future, after Bell kissed my hair, I would apparently tip toe and kiss him back on his jaw - because that was the highest I could reach.

"Hn." Bell said and turned away to leave. But I caught the corner of his lips lift up.

"Bye bye!" Future Sam waved amiably at his departure.

She turned back to the rest of us, suddenly pouting, "He left again."

And just as quickly as her mouth turned down, it turned up again. Her eyes lit up at the sight of us, "Oh! I'm here! I knew I saw me!"

WTH was I thinking? Omo… I was going to grow up to be beautiful like a vision of the Moon Goddess, but also stupid and completely crazy.

"Wolfie! Fluffy!" Future me threw her arms around the fire wolf. Wolfgang's face when he caught the goddess by the waist! I would laugh except that was me right? And then she gave Fluffy a quick side hug too. Fluffy smiled, "I feel your affection is biased Pretty Goddess."

Future Me laughed unapologetically, "That's because Wolfie is a gentleman."

Fluffy's smile grew at that, "It is the gentlemen who hide their wolves that you should be wary of, goddess."

Both Harveys gave Fluffy's shoulders a backhanded hit. It was like an automated reflex response. One from the left, the other from the right. They looked at each other and reflected the same wry smile. Future Harvey said, "I forgot how troublesome he was."

But I was still upset at me.

"Why?" I flared at my older, more beautiful self, "Why did you disappear? Don't you know you might never come back?"

Future Me laughed again, "Wow, when was I ever so cute?"

Future Me reached out to touch my hair and rub my head, "Aww man, I'm so cute!"

"I know right." The Future Ben with one eye said, "But I wouldn't do that, you hate it."

And everyone nodded like it was the truth.

WTH. But then Future Me answered my question.

"Well, to be honest, I wasn't planning on Time Travelling at first." Future Sam admitted, "It seemed too risky."

Yeah, like our entire future was at risk because you were gallivanting between Time Gates! How could the future me be so irresponsible?

"But then I realized that I only disappeared at the very last time travel, right?" Future Sam smiled brightly at me, "That means that all the earlier travels were alright. Since I knew I would come to the future to stop me, all I had to do was to make sure I don't step through the Time Gate when you showed up."

How, what, WHAT THE HELL? Who reasoned like that? (No, don't answer, I don't want to hear it.)

"But YOU DID STEP THROUGH THE TIME GATE!" I pointed accusingly at my future self. WTH was with this carefree and ridiculous logic?

"Yeah, that was my bad." Future Me shrugged. She didn't look regretful at all though, "Luckily, I saw you and picked the right Gate to come back."

What? One misstep and who knew where Future Me would have ended up?

"Don't mess around! Look what would happen to poor Ben!" I pointed at the older one-eyed Ben, "He suffered so much! What if you went through the wrong Time Gate and got lost?" I scolded. Why was Future Me so irresponsible.

"Everyone suffered." Future me said solemnly, and then she suddenly broke into another one of her goddess smiles, "Don't worry. I've always been very lucky."

Lucky my foot! WTH. Was that supposed to reassure me?

And why was everyone looking so amused?

I glared at the younger Ben, "What's so funny?"

Younger Ben smirked, "Now you know how difficult you are to talk to."

WTH! I did not talk like that!

To be continued on Monday! Have a great weekend.
