Chapter-4[Mai]

[Master?] A soft voice full of worry entered my head, making me come out of my thoughts.

'Right, I forget about this....' I thought while ignoring the fact that the thing I forget about is way too important.

"So, tell me about yourself...do you have a name?" I asked calmly, I seemed to feel weak to talk to the owner of the childish tone in a harsh tone.

[...no master...I am not that much old, so I don't have a name...] I heard a sad tone-filled voice in my head, and the image of a six-year-old girl having tears threatening to fall from her eyes entered my head making me worried about the system.

"Don't worry, if you have no problem then could I give you a name?" I asked in a little unsure but hopeful tone.

[Of Course Master! Please give me a name!] An excited voice answered me.

I nodded and a thoughtful look appeared on my face, thinking of the name.

'Emma..Eve....Ava...Cora...no...Mei...yes! Mai..it seems good for her..' I thought remembering the names from my previous life.

"How about Mai?" I asked in a hopeful tone cause I liked this name and want the system to accept it.

[Mai...Mai....yup! Thank you, Master! I like the name!] Mai said in an excited tone while repeating her name again and again.

I released a relaxing sigh at the fact that Mai liked her name.

"Could you tell me about you now Mai, and why did you change the system interface from War Goddess to Harem Goddess?" I asked in a calming but questioning tone.

Mai hearing that question stopped repeating her name and a thinking face appeared on the screen.

[I don't know Master...this is my first time being bound to someone...I am sorry for that..] Mai answered in an unsure tone which turned a little scared at the end.

I smiled a little hearing that, 'It seems like she is quite scared to be hated...I wonder why..?'

"Don't worry, then could you tell me the features that you have?" I asked to know that as I can't get the answer to my previous question.

The face on the screen changed to an exciting one before turning into a sad one again making me confused.

[Master...you need to wait for a day, the system is still bounding to your soul right now.] Mai said in a sad tone.

I become disappointed for a moment before I heard a sobbing voice.

[wahh..ahh...Master is disappointed with me...] Mai said while sobbing slowly.

I immediately shook my head in panic.

"I am not disappointed, Mai! So stop crying!" I said panicked.

I don't know how to deal with this as even in my last life, I had never dealt with things like this, and in this life, the only one who is like this is my dear Junior Sister who just doesn't cry but the rest is same...

[Really...Masta?] Mai asked in a hopeful tone but it seems like she bit her tongue with the tone she used.

'Is this the tone that a system should use...?' "Yes, Mai...so please don't use that crying tone..." I said in a pleading tone.

I felt bad whenever I heard Mai's crying tone which is weird... and at the same time, I felt like I own Mai but at the same time not making me try not to make Mai sad.

[Ok Master! Thank you for being kind to Mai!] Mai said in a happy tone, which made me imagine a little girl jumping around happily.

'Why could I even picture the look of Mai in my head...?' I thought as the picture of a little girl with large blue eyes and pigtail hair wearing one piece of a white dress came to my mind. I know for sure that I had never seen this girl but I felt that she is important to me.

"Mai, are you adding images of a little girl in my head?" Feeling more and more confused, I directly asked Mai.

For two minutes, the expression on the screen remained surprised then hesitation appeared in it before showing a determined expression.

[Yes Master, to let you have a better understanding of me.] Mai answered in a determined tone.

'There is something fishy here....but it doesn't feel dangerous...the same feeling I got from the old man...' I thought. I felt that Mai lied to me but I also felt that it's not the time to know the truth and I felt that my life is completely safe.

"I understand, Mai, so don't worry, okay?" I said in a calm tone.

[Yes Master!] Mai's image of nodding her cutely again appeared in my head making me show a smile.

I then changed my clothes to a complete snow-white robe with black lining in the corners of my arms. After changing my clothes, I was about to walk towards the old-looking almirah where I stored my clothes but before I was able to open it, a knocking sound entered my ears making me stop in my tracks.

I thought of my schedule and don't remember anything special going on today and thought for a moment before I said,

"Come in." Saying that I touched the bracelet and send a little bit of my spiritual energy into it, making a mysterious inscription pattern show on it before it vanished and the door opened.

'This Door Mechanism is way too good than any modern things.....just send a little bit of the energy registered in the bracelet and the inscription pattern will unlock the door through the pattern on the door, that Senior Brother should be quite a genius to create something like this...but...it would be more good if the Sect Master doesn't have the Master Key....' I thought praising the door mechanism created by one of the senior brothers in the Furnace Part of the sect.

The door opened and a girl around 15 or 16 years old, having large black eyes and black hairs, and a face that seems to stem cuteness all around the world. Her face is round with those big eyes and lips which is showing a large smile when her eyes spotted me standing in front of the almirah. The girl is wearing a black robe with some white linings giving her cuteness a sexy look. The girl has small breasts but those seem to be fitting her body.

But the weird thing is, the aura around the girl...it is extremely cold. It felt like staying in a glacier just staying near the girl. And along with the coldness, she also seems to have a mysterious atmosphere around her.

Seeing the girl, a smile blooms on my face, making the girl smile brightly and we both started to walk towards each other but the girl directly ran and hugged me with a force which would have directly sent a normal person smashed to the ground but I easily took all that with a smile on my face.

"Senior Sister! I missed you so much!" The girl said showing a puppy eye expression making my eyes turn soft and I started to pat the girl's head.

I suddenly stopped patting the girl before looking at the girl seriously making the girl sweat under my glare but before she could ask, I asked first.

"Yang Ruiya, did you cultivate in the night again?" I asked in a completely serious tone making all of the softness go away.

The girl, Yang Ruiya felt cold all over her body when she heard me calling her by her name as I always called her Ruiya affectionately before.

"I-i am s-sorry Senior S-sister...but Senior Sister Zi Yan already reached the next realm but I have not...and she told me that she would steal you from me if I don't become stronger quickly..." Yang Ruiya answered honestly in a sad tone with tears gathered around her eyes.

I released a mental sigh after seeing Yang Ruiya's condition before proceeding to hug the girl in my arms, 'I guess it was also my fault...I should have stopped Zi Yan before...'

"Ruiya, I am not angry but worried for you. You know that it will become painful if you do it at that time, right?" I said while calling Ruiya in an affectionate tone before asking.

Yang Ruiya gently nodded her head before hugging me back.
