Chapter 3 - Purifying Wings and Death

Slowly regaining his consciousness Evan opens his eyes for the first time. Blinding light shine in and he aprubtly closes them again. While slowly getting used to the sunlight, he tries to remember what happened before he passed out.

Ah! My instincts took over and I devoured my mother´s internal energy. Fuck, that should not have happened. Now I am already born! Wait, what´s with my body!!!

While looking in his body with his internal energy he notice, that his body grew a lot. Evan is no longer an infant baby, but an 1.40 meter tall looking kid.

Beside his grown size, his antlers grew out and formed a golden, little crown with six small horns on his head. And that´s not all, on his back are two pure white looking 30 centimeter wings.

But the most suprising part is that both his antlers and his pair of wings are primary connected to his bones and subsidiary connected to his bloodflow, muscles, organ and litereally to the rest of his body.

He also got one more bloodline inheritance. From his maternal bloodline, that from his mother!! Though Evan had before he devoured the internal energy of his mother her bloodline, in fact he did not get a bloodline inheritance.

There is a great difference betwenn a normal bloodline and a bloodline inheritance! Evan does also know this from his paternal inheritance.

The marks of a normal bloodline are more talent in the areas that ones forefathers already comprehended or their talents. For example Evan paternal lineage, if he had only a bloodline, he would have a strong body like his beasts forefathers, but because he had awoken an inheritance, he got an innate ability, informations of the world, bloodline memories and more.

This does not mean that when one does not have a bloodline inheritance, one could not have their forefather´s innate abilities. Though this occasion is really rare and the ability would be far weaker than a inheritance and one has not good control over it, it can happen.

Now that Evan has also a maternal inheritance, he only has more potential. Beside that from his maternal bloodline inheritance he also got more memories and also a happy suprise.

Both my bloodline inheritances gave me each one innate ability. From my paternal side it is called Devouring Antlers, so my golden crown like antlers are able to devour the energy of heaven and earth more efficiently than normal absorbing, and also different vital energy from the environment.

Though they could absorb internal energy from other, they should not have the ability to absorb bloodlines or other things like innate abilities.

According to my both inheritances I could devour my mothers bloodline and awaken so my maternal inheritance, because we are connected with blood and because I was only an infant then, so we had a very strong connection. It should not happen again even if I devour my siblings or fathers internal energy or even bloodline.

My maternal innate ability is called Purifying Wings. It was created from one of my maternal human ancestors. Like my paternal ability it is connected to ever part of my body and so it can purify literally my body.

Every thing I ate, I devoure through my devouring ability or even absorbe normally like the energy of Heaven and Earth will be purified and what is not beneficial to my body will be expelled through my wings.

Even if I get poisened it will be expelled through my wings. Of course if the poison is strong enough and way over my league it could threaten me before it get expelled or it could make my innate ability not usable.

After looking more into his new inheritance, Evan slowly tries to get up and familiarizes him with his body. Because of course he only was born recently and never stood or even walked.

But because of his mature mind and strong body he gets the hang out of it very fast. While looking around the crude looking wooden hut, he notice a sword, few things to eat, few clothes and then a bed with a female corpse on it.

Her skin was sunked in and she was very thin. It looked like she had only her skin and bones. It looked like her vitality and energy was devoured from her. But the most notable thing about was a large hole in her belly, the hole was formed like something or someone broke out of her belly.
