Rebirth

I opened my eyes to find myself frozen in time, right in front of me, there was a truck on a direct trajectory to hitting me at 30 Miles per hour. I saw the sky turn bright red from the corner of my vision, and I looked up to find a blinding light heading straight towards me.

Am I dreaming? Of course I am, time doesn't just go ahead and stop, plus it's not like my life is flashing before my eyes, also, how the hell is this bright red shooting star still moving when time and space is frozen??? My thoughts were running wild as I tried to process these events that seemed to bend reality like it was made of a thin sheet of paper.

The shooting star slowed down on its decent and stopped shining so blindingly, I continued staring at it, waiting for my impending doom, yet the mysterious extraterrestrial object stopped shining altogether, and at this point was gently floating down towards me. As I got a closer look, I recognized this strange object to be a red ring with strange engravings that glowed a bright orange, as if they were hot like fire. Though, my observations were cut short as the ring moved so fast I didn't even see it until it had already disappeared, and reappeared on my finger.

BOOOOOOOOM!

It sounded like thunder roared beside my ears as I blacked out then woke up in an empty void, then blacked out again and woke up in a wet, warm and dark place devoid of any traces of light.

Hearing that answer, I was beyond shocked "A fresh start huh, it seems this Devil Path must truly be a miraculous thing, for it to be able to transport me across a universe. But why am I the one who got it? Perhaps I was just lucky? Besides that, I guess the multiverse truly is a thing, and those stories from Earth about the powerful warriors were truly lived up to in this world."

"Well then, I might as well enjoy the few minutes of complete peace and quiet a person will ever get in this life." Thinking that, I relaxed my tensed muscles and awaited my birth...
