You are not a monster

Isabella's pov:

"Aren't you afraid? You should run before a killer takes over me." He gave me a little push towards the door but I didn't budge. The way he said those words sliced my heart. There was so much anger dripping from his tone but his eyes showed raw pain.

I could see the damage I have done.

"No Xavier, listen, I didn't mean it like that. I am sorry." I tried to grab his arm but he backed away from me.

"It's okay you said the right thing. It is true. I am a monster. I am a killer. I am everything people don't aspire to become. I am something you should hate." He was spitting out venom about himself and all I saw was that little, afraid blue-eyed boy.

The little boy who was just seeking a little happiness. I didn't see any killer. I didn't see any monster. He was still yelling bad things about him but I couldn't hear it. I was listening to an innocent, puresoul yelling for help.

I moved closer to him.
