Patience

Christina had an excellent memory. She was the top student in the number one University of Country A, but she had to be low profile, so she had never come into the public. 

She used her memory to check what Xander was talking about. When did she leak any news? It was hard for her, as she did not even know about which project Xander was talking about. 

But before she could say in her defense, Xander's next words thrilled her to her core. 

'' How much money did you get to betray me?'', Xander looked at the woman who was standing like a statue in a deep thought. He did not want to see that face of hers right now. 

Christina had already suffered enough in the hands of Xander. She was just a little girl  who was taken care of by Xander's grandfather in person. 

She was thankful for nurturing her and even providing her with education. Then, to make her his real granddaughter in relation, Xander's grandfather, Alexander Richards had set her up with his grandson. Moreover, she liked him as well.

Christina was a girl of few words. She was very kind at heart and harboured no malicious intentions. We could say that it was all because of the teachings of Grandpa Alex. 

Once he said to her, '' Sometimes, we have to keep patience when we share something with others or else our cooperation may fail.'

She had remembered his saying when she had married Xander. Xander was completely cold to her and did not even give her a second glance. He was usually rude. All her efforts were fruitless. But, due to Alex' s words, she had kept patience. 

Christy kept her patience with Xander because she wanted their marriage to last long. She did not want to disappoint Grandpa Alex. He surely would get upset which she never wanted to happen. 

When he had slapped her, and initial things she saw in his office, her patience began to crack but she did not let this crack deepen because of the love she harbored for Grandpa Alex. 

But his words were something which brought the memory of that incident. Her patience jar had broken completely. She could not let that incident resurface. 

She was used to being a different girl but when that incident had  happened, she was devastated. It was because of her character that had happened. She was alone and depressed.

That was the time when Alexander Richards had taken her in. He taught her to be a new person which she was in the past fifteen years of her life. 

Suddenly, blood pressure rose in her body. Her face was pale and red due to the slap initially but now it was due to anger. Those similar words gave her energy. 

'' You have made a false accusation. I don't even know that you were working on some project. How will the information leak?", she voiced herself. 

Her deep firm voice startled him. He looked at her face. Her eyes which were initially filled with confusion were now showing hints of sincerity and braveness. ' A minute ago, she was barely even able to complete her sentence. So where does this firmness come from? Am I hallucinating?'
