Chapter 38 (Josephs POV) Let me in!

I looked at Julia, and I could see the pain on her face, from the story that she had just told me. It was the absolute proof that I had needed, as I knew that she loved me. I loved her too, and it had hurt me for quite some time, that John had just told me that my sister and Julia were both dead.

It made sense that he would tell me that I suppose. If we were to get here, and have there be no one here, and I was expecting them to be, than that would only hurt me more. It made sense now that he would tell me that I guess, as it was better to get it out of my system then, than it would be now.

If we were really starting our training soon, than it would be better for me to be happy, rather than be hurt and be depressed. I closed my eyes for just a few seconds, and then I breathed in heavily, taking all of it in all at once, and then letting it all out.

I then opened my eyes up, and I blinked a few times so that my eyes would open up into the dark room that we were in. I sat there looking at Julia for quite some time, I could see the pain on her face, and I could almost feel what it must have been like being alone for all of that time.

At least that was one thing that I could take from John that had helped me. I was now used to being alone, and it did not hurt me as much as it would have used to. I kept my eyes on her, as I saw her doing the same for me, and then I moved my face right up to hers.

She looked at me, with a bit of a surprised, and I confused look on her face, as it was clear that she was not quite sure what it was that I was doing. Then it hit her, she now understood what I was doing, as she took it all in at once.

I gave her the longest and most meaningful kiss that I was sure I had ever had. It felt real, and it felt amazing. I missed her so much, it almost seemed like I was in a dream right now. I still was not sure if it was real or not in fact, due to the fact that I had been having some crazy dreams.

She gladly took it in however, as I knew that it was real. I knew that she still was in love with me, and I still was with her as well, as it almost seemed like things were back to normal. I then took my lips off of hers, and then I lowered my head to the ground at the same time.

I knew things were not normal, and I knew that the rest of my life, even if we somehow won this war against the dragons, that things would never get back to that point. I could not live a life knowing that there were still dragons just around the corner.

The same dragons that had killed my mother, and they had killed my Uncle and Pops too... They had killed many other people that I had cared about as well, though I never knew it was them. I am sure that there were only more to come in the near future as well.

I figure that I may as well spend the time with the people that I care about, to the best that I possibly could. I then held on to Julia, as I did not want to let go, though I knew that I was so tired, I had no other choice but to do so sooner or later.

I felt a couple of tears drip down from her eyes, as they fell onto my shoulders. I did not say anything about it though, as I was not sure what to say to make her feel better. All that mattered was that she was alive, and so was I, and we were back together.

Maybe there was nothing that I needed to say, and maybe everything was all going to end out turning okay. Maybe us, the humans, could win this war against the dragons. I shook that off, that was not that mattered at the moment. I could worry about that another day.

After a bit longer, I finally let go of her, as I could see through the darkness in the room, that her eyes were just pure red. I could see all of the tears that had fallen out of her eyes, and they were all down her face. I gave her one more quick little kiss to make her feel a bit better.

I could tell that it did as well, as she nodded and then she wiped the tears off of her face with her hand. After just a couple more seconds as well, she then nodded to me. I nodded back to her as well, as she then finally began to speak to me after the long period of silence.

"Why don't you get some sleep Joseph, I can tell that you are tired right now. We can talk tomorrow morning, I would love to hear your part of the story." She said to me. I looked at her for just a bit longer. To be honest, I did not want to do that at all, I wanted to keep on talking, because I now had a thought in my head that the next time I spoke to her, could just as easily be the last time that I spoke to her as well.

I just nodded to her however, as it all then began to catch up to me at the same time as well. The walking that I had done, and the running up that very large hill, it had really worn me out quite a bit. I had not gotten exactly the best sleep last night either.

I was now beginning to realize, that I was in a bed, and it was most certainly a lot more comfortable than the little mat that I had been sleeping on for the last year or so. I laid my head down on to the pillow, which also was a lot more comfortable than the rough pillow that I had been sleeping on as well.

After taking in all of that, and then moving my body up to Julia, I felt her body all over mine, as it warmed me up a bit, as it had been quite a bit cold sleeping on my own for such a long time. Finally I fell into a bit of a deep sleep.

I woke up, but I was not quite sure where I was at. I was not anywhere that seemed familiar at all to me. It did not take very long for me to realize that I was in another dream. I hated these, as they had nearly gotten my group caught and killed the other day as well.

I just stood still, and I looked around to see what was around me at the same time as well. There was nothing though, I saw nothing at all, nor did I hear anything as well. I knew that I was outside however, as I could tell that I was not in a house or one of the caves that dragons liked to hide in.

I could not feel any sort of wind, and as my eyes began to get used to the darkness that was around me, I suddenly began to realize why there was no wind at all. I must be deep into some woods, on a chilly night like tonight, there most certainly should be some wind swirling through the air.

I just stood still though, as I did not feel like walking around, trying to find out what was going on, and why I was even here in the first place. This time I was going to let the dream come to me, and if that was not how to was going to work, it was fine by me.

I never asked to have these dreams in the first place, and if I could give these to somewhat else, that might think that they would want them, to make them feel like they had some sort of superior power, than I would give it to them in a heart beat.

They would not realize their mistake though, these dreams were not fun, nor were they entertaining at all. They did not make you feel like you had any sort of power either, in fact they made you feel a bit weak, seeing that there were dragons around you that were way stronger than you could ever be.

I sat there for a bit longer, as it almost seemed as if the dream was beginning to disappear on me, since I was not looking around for anything. It was fine by me if that was the case as well, I did not ask to have these random visions.

I waited for me to wake up, as I closed my eyes, like I normally did to wake up in the first place. I sat there for a bit longer, as I could still tell that it was still cold, and I was still outside. I gave up, and then I went ahead and I opened up my eyes.

Once I had done so as well, I saw 2 dragons in front of me, and they were staring right at me. It startled me quite a bit, as I had not heard them coming at all, and I was not expecting it to happen. I then managed to regain myself, as I realized who the 2 dragons were right away.

One of them was Socra, who as I had heard, was going to be the next leader of their tribe. But the dragon that she was with was the real surprise to me. It was the tribes actual leader, and the father of the dragon of destiny... It was Himla.

Not only was it Himla, but he was looking at me directly in to my eyes, as it was clear to me that he could see me as well. It shocked me, because he looked quite a bit different than when I had seen him a few days ago. Besides... I thought that he was no longer able to see me anymore.

He was looking at me directly into my eyes, and he looked a lot stronger, and a lot more fine tuned than he had just a few days before now. I blinked a few times just to make sure that he was in fact looking at me, or maybe Socra was testing to see if he could see me.

I tilted my head a bit, still confused as to what was going on at the moment. I saw that his head was now held high, and he looked almost as if he was back to normal again. I still could not be too sure though, there was no way that he could switch like that in just a few days, surely right?

I then turned my head over to Socra, as I could hear her speaking to me at the same time. I nodded to her, as I listened to what it was that she had to say to me. It still did not feel real to me, to this day, that a dragon could speak to a human.

Hell, what was I even talking about? It did not even seem real that there was a dragon in front of me in the first place. I shook my head though, as I realized that she was speaking, and I did not want to miss out on what it was that she had to say to me.

"Joseph... Yes, he can see you... He is back... I know that we do not have very much time, but just know that we have a future in store for us soon, and we are making plans to get back what was once ours." She said to me. I looked at her for just a few longer, as I squinted my eyes at Himla.

I still was not sure, but at the same time I knew that this was not the same dragon that I had seen in the last year. Hell... He was not even the same dragon that I had seen even before all of this. There seemed to be something that was off with him.

It was not something that made him look weak at all by any means, it almost made him look a bit scary, and it made him look quite powerful and intense. I wondered if this was the dragon that Socra had been talking about when she had said the war between the dragons.

She had said that it was almost as if he had no heart, and he did not care at all. That was what had made him scary in the first place, it was the fact that he could, and he most certainly would kill anything that stepped in front of his path.

I gulped a bit, though I knew that I was no where near him at the moment. He looked even more scary than Plyma, and even I knew Plyma was more powerful than him. I shook my head, as I began to think about what Socra had just said to me in the first place.

They had a plan, that meant that they were getting ready to start to fight back against the black dragons right? It was perfect, and it was exactly what we needed... I knew that there was no way that either side could win without each others help.

I then nodded to her, as I was beginning to understand what it was that she was telling me in the first place. I looked over at Himla though, as I still was not quite too sure about him right now... What had happened to him? What had made him act the way that he was right now...

It then began to hit me, had something happened to Jangra?! Was Jangra dead? It cant be, surely right? If he was the dragon of destiny, and he was the one that was supposed to end all wars, than how could he just die like that? I then began to speak without even thinking about what I was saying.

"Why is Himla all the sudden back to normal, has something happened to Jangra?" I said, with a bit of a worried tone in my voice in the same instance as well. Socra looked at me for a few moments, and then I saw a bit of a guilty look on both of their faces.

Surely it could not be true... It almost seemed as if it was what I had been thinking... He had been killed, and they felt like they were a part to blame in that right? I gulped once again, as I then lowered my head to the ground too.

They looked at each other for just a few moments, as Socra finally decided that she was going to be the one that was going to respond to the question that I had just asked the both of them. She then turned her hear over to me, and she began to speak to me.

"Well... Yes and no... Jangra is alive, he is just in the medicine part of the cave right now, and he is healing from his wounds... But Himla learned a bit of a good lesson today... Isn't that right?" She said over to Himla, squinting her eyes at him at the same time as well.

I looked at the both of them, as I was quite confused as to what was going on right now. Jangra was alive though, and that was all that had mattered... Did they get attacked? How had he gotten those wounds in the first place? I saw quite a guilty look on Himla's face.

Had he told Jangra to do something, and then Jangra had gotten badly hurt from it? Did that wake up Himla's mind? I shook my head, as I was beginning to realize that I was starting to get my head lost in thought at the same time as well.

I then looked back over yo Himla, as he finally had lifted his head back up to me, with a bit of a strange look in his eyes at the same time as well. I just kept my eyes locked on his, as I was still not willing to believe that he was back. He just nodded to me, and then he began to speak to me.

"Joseph our time is up tonight... Just know that things are going to change around the tribe... I have a feeling that we will be meeting again soon, and this time I don't believe that it will be in one of your dreams." He said to me. I looked at him, a bit surprised, and a bit confused at the same time.

I was not quite sure what he had meant by that at all... Did he mean that in person? I had no idea where they were, nor where I even was geographically in the place. I sat there for a bit longer, as I just nodded to him, as that was just about all that I could think about doing.

I sat there for a bit longer, as they just stood there staring at me with blank looks on their faces, as if they no longer saw me there in the first place. I got a bit confused once again, and then I blinked... They were gone...

I woke up, as I quickly lifted my head up, I saw that it was slightly bright in the room, as though the sun had just came up across the horizon. I looked around a bit confused, as to what had just lifted me out of the bed so quickly in the morning in the first place.

I then turned my head to where Julia had been laying beside me in the bed just the night before. I saw that she too had her head up, just as I had as well. Surely this was not just perfect timing, I could tell that she was quite a bit worn out still, which told me that she had just woken up too.

She looked at me, and then she blinked a few times, as it was clear that she was a bit confused as to what was going on as well. I blinked a couple of times as well, trying to get out the quite blurry vision that I had just woken up with, I then heard her begin to speak to me, as I listened to what she had to say.

"Did you hear that too? I think I heard someone yelling downstairs... I just woke up though, so I'm not too sure if that is the case. Maybe we should go check." She said to me. I looked at her for just a few moments, and then I turned my head over to the doorway of the bedroom.

I began to stretch myself a bit, as it almost seemed to make me feel even more tired than I had been before when I did that. I wanted to tell her no, but at the same time, if that was really the case, than someone may be in trouble, and we should probably help them.

I turned my head back over to her, as I then quickly pulled the blankets off of me, and I then nodded to her, to let her know that we probably should go and check on it. I pulled myself off of the bed, and just as she was about to do as well, I heard a loud but familiar voice come from downstairs, but it was clear that it was not in the house.

"Im here! God damn it! Let me in!"
