CHAPTER 38 A Long Journey
[Armon’s POV]
I fought the urge to jump Moyra right here and now as her words settled over me.
Her destiny. I had to admit, I really liked the way that sounded. It showed just how much she truly cared, and despite being a confident man, I found it rather reassuring, especially given that she was also mated to Eli.
All my life, I have absolutely despised the word "destiny." My destiny only brought me pain and suffering. But when it came out of Moyra’s mouth and referred to the feeling of peace and happiness I felt with her, I found it wasn’t that bad.
I took Moyra's hand in mine, brought it to my lips, and kissed it. Where our skin touched, it was cold, but all I could feel was warmth due to the bond we shared.
"Come on." I said, pulling her closer to me. "The journey will take a few days, so it is best we set off as soon as possible."
