Prove that you truly love her

Hearing Tessy's response, Chad fell speechless.

It wasn't the reply he was hoping for but he would do with it for the time being. 

Tessy didn't know about love. She didn't know the feeling of love and what it could do. 

She told herself that finding love in this lifetime was impossible due to the curse and someone loving her would just lead to nothing but pain in the end.

Rain was pleased that Chad confessed but she still had an ounce of doubt of his intention. 

During the following days, he showed more love to Tessy and she considered it a good thing but Rain still had the feeling that Chad approaching her from the very beginning was not genuine at all and her suspicions were correct. 

She happened to walk in on Chad's conversation with his friends and heard it all. Later, she confronted him.

"So you got together with her because of a bet?" Rain barked at him. He was shocked that she found out about it but owned up to it.

"Yes!" He said, lowering his head in guilt. 

"How could you? And all this time I thought you loved her."

"I do!" He spat out. "Believe me, I really do love her!"

"Liar! How can you love her when it's a bet?"

"At first I didn't." He looked aside. "It was just for show that I got her as my girlfriend but later on, I started falling for her and had her on my mind 24/7. I just couldn't stop thinking of her and now," he looked up with confidence. "I have fallen deeply, so deeply, for her."

Rain looked at him for a while, not sure if to believe him or not. How was she sure that he was being truthful and not using her best friend?

"Prove it!" She demanded, folding her arms. 

"What did you say?" He asked.

"Prove that you truly love her." She demanded.

"I will." He said confidently.

"I don't trust you too much but I'll help you a bit. Tessy's birthday is this Saturday, figure something out." She said and walked away.

Chad thought it through. This was his chance. He could make it up to Tessy and also earn Rain's trust but in order to do that, he needed to use Rain's house.

He made the plans and informed Rain about it.

Hearing what Chad had in store, she was in full support and decided to lead Tessy to her house, just to surprise her. 

"Why do I have to go to your house?" Tessy grumbled.

"Because I want you to. I've been to your house plenty of times but you haven't been to mine once." Rain pointed out.

"That's not a reasonable reason. You come to my house to study. Why am I going to yours?" She folded her arms waiting for an explanation. 

Rain thought for a while then snapped her fingers.

"Just think of it this way. In case I ever need your help at my house, I'll just call you and since you already know it, which you will, you can just come over without delay."

Tessy thought for a while. That was a reason but was not all that reasonable. Thinking of how Rain can be sometimes, she just had to give in. 

"Fine." She agreed. "Let's go!" 

"Tomorrow's Saturday. Do you have plans?" Rain reminded.

"Not really!" Tessy shook her head.

"Then come over to my house tomorrow night. I have something I want to show you." She said and Tessy rolled her eyeballs.

"Don't tell me that you'll start inviting me over to your house after I see it today, because if that's the case, then I might as well not go."

"Hmph! How cruel?!"

"I'm just stating the obvious!" She smiled as they entered her car. 

Tessy instructed her driver to follow from behind while she took Rain's car. 

"The thing you want to show me, will it take long, tomorrow?"

"Definitely." Rain said and Tessy nodded.

"Rain?" Tessy called.

"Hm?" She answered through the lathe she was sipping.

"I just thought of something."

"What is it?" Rain asked and proceeded to take another sip.

"Are you a virgin?" The question hit Rain so hard that she choked in her lathe and started coughing.
