'C-Cold. S-s-so cold'

*Rumble*

'And hungry.'

'Why? Why are they looking at me like I'm a monster? Like... I don't matter'

"Ew. Look at that thing."

"Ignore it. It won't last much longer anyway."

'I'm tired of it. the faces of disgust and ridicule. For what? having a tail? Stupid, moronic humans'

'I hate them all'

"Huh who's that? Is it an immortal"

"Woow, he looks so mysterious"

'Augh? What is it now? Who is it?'

'His eyes. They're beautiful, and... not filled with disgust but... pity?'

"Hey kid, would you like to come with me?"

'Huh?'

*1 hour ago,*

Icitra arrived on the outskirts of the small village named Nashville.

It was honestly not the best looking. Small shabby walls around a meter tall, Wooden houses that looked like they would fall apart. Nobody was even guarding the entrance, but I guess it makes sense since not many people would visit this place.

"Lora, buy me those two objects please."

[Aye aye masta]

*Ding*

[Purchasing ... Purchased. 50 points remaining]"

Icitra looked down at his hands and noticed the two items he had just purchased. The 'mask of the shrouded' and the 'Robe of the uncanny'. The mask was just a simple face mask that covered the bottom half of his face, whilst the robe looked like a black jedi robe.

After putting them on, he realised that even he himself couldn't sense his cultivation but could instead feel some sort of mysterious aura surrounding him.

"Perfect, Lets go."

Icitra then entered the village and began to look around. A lot of people were obviously attracted to the aura he gave off, and even more so when they saw his golden eyes looking around, but he just ignored them.

'System scan them. Just tell me their name and talent'

"Hmm. None of them are great huh. Let's just keep looking."

He continued wandering around the village, looking for anyone with talent of at least three stars like himself.

Unfortunately, even after wandering around for forty minutes, he had yet to find one.

"*Sigh*, seems like I was hoping for too much. It makes sense though, a shabby village like this shouldn't have anyone special in it. Besides, I'm not some special protagonist with heaven defying luck. Maybe I should just teach all of them?"

"Ew, look at that thing"

"Ignore it. It won't last much longer anyway."

He was just about to call it quits and choose a few people to train together when he heard the ridicule of two villagers. He looked towards his left and saw a man and a women walking hand in hand whilst seemingly laughing at someone.

"Did I miss someone?" He whispered to himself and began walking in their direction. Something they took notice of.

"Huh, who's that? An immortal?"

"Wow, he looks so mysterious!"

Both of them began whispering to each other upon noticing him, something he ignored.

He was, however, extremely surprised by what he saw hiding between two trash cans.

Two bright blue eyes stared at him with extreme weariness. Its the eyes of someone who has no trust. The eyes of someone who's known suffering. The problem, however, was that they belonged to a child.

He had white, messy hair that complimented his blue eyes. But what truly surprised Icitra, was the two fluffy ears on top of his head. The ears of a wolf.

'Lora, show me his status'

'Five star talent, Its better than mine. Thank the heavens I found one.'

Icitra began approaching the kid whilst the kid just continued to look at him with weariness.

"Hey kid, would you like to come with me?"

...

'Huh, did he not hear me? He's just staring at me.

"Huh kid, did you not hear what I said?"

His question seemed to snap the kid out of his stupor, though his wariness increased.

"W-what do you want from me? I don't like humans and I don't trust you either?"

'Figured as much' he thought with a chuckle that only seemed to make the kid even more wary.

"Listen kid, I'm a cultivator and I'm looking for someone to teach. You are talented, so I want to teach you, that's why I was wondering if you want to follow me and I'm sure it's better than remaining here right?" Icitra asked and the kid looked down in contemplation.

"Besides." He continued causing the kid to look up once more, only for his eyes to widen when he caught glimpse of Icitra's pulled down hood. "I'm not human either"

"D-dark elf!"

Thankfully, no one else was around otherwise a commotion might have broken out, since dark elves are rare and usually don't wander around for no reason.

"So, what do you think kid?" He asked with a smile as he pulled his hood back up. "Wanna be my disciple"

The kid looked back down for a few seconds before looking back up. After a few seconds of silence, he finally came to a decision.

"No!"

"Huh?"

Icitra took a few seconds to process what he had just heard.

"What do you mean no brat!"

"No means no old man, go away"

"Ol-old man? WHO ARE YOU CALLING AN OLD MAN? I'M 18"

"*Snort* Yeah, sure you are. Elves live like 10 times longer than humans do and you're also a cultivator. You're probably like 500 years old or something. I have always trusted my instincts and they are currently telling me that, while I can trust you, I should also fear you. So, I refuse"

'Fear me? Why the hell should he fear me? What the hell! AHH, He's annoying me now'

"Stop being an annoying brat and just follow me. If I teach you how to cultivate, you no longer need to live like a sewer rat."

"I REFUSE, I neither like nor know you. I'll take my chances with the wind"

"I REFUSE YOUR REFUSAL"

"W-w-what? You can't do that, that's evil."

"*snort* This world follows the law of the strong. I'm currently strong and you're currently weak. Thus... I DECLARE YOU MY DISCIPLE"

...

The next thing the kid knew, he was already outside the village. He blinked his eyes a few times, trying to make sense of what happened, before realising he was strung over Icitra's shoulder like a sack of potatoes.

"PUT ME DOWN STUPID OLD MAN" He screamed as he began to wriggle like a worm.

"I TOLD YOU I'M 18 STUPID BRAT"

"YOUR A LIER, AN EVIL TYRANT WHO PRAYS ON CHILDREN, I BET YOUR STUPIDLY UGLY AND YOU'RE PROBABLY GOING TO EAT ME"

"You do know that I'm now your teacher, right brat? The more you annoy me, the worse your training will be."

"Heh, I'm not doing it"

"HOH? Wanna bet." Upon saying this, he held the kid in front of him by the scruff of his neck, causing him to dangle like a puppy. "I guarantee, I'll have you running like headless chicken within a few days."

"W-What's a chicken?" He asked with a gulp.

"Wanna find out" He asked, and although he was wearing a mask, the way his eyes squinted told the kid that he was definitely smiling, causing him to shake his head repeatedly.

"Good choice" He said before dropping the kid on the floor.

"Ouch. Stupid b*stard" He whispered the last part and though Icitra heard him, he ignored it.... for now.

"You still haven't told me your name, brat"

He looked over his shoulder as he said this, and saw the kid, waddling behind him with reluctance, kicking his feet and throwing out every curse he picked up from the villages. Though his ears twitched upon hearing Icitra's words.

"I don't have one.."

"Hmm."

Silence rained between them as they continued to walk. It wasn't until thirty minutes later that Icitra spoke again.

"Kiba, Thor, Bete or Silver."

"Huh?"

"Your name. Pick one. Kiba, Silver, Thor or Bete."

"Those are stupid names"

"Oh really? well they suit you then don't you."

His words caused the kid to let out a little growl, something Icitra found quite funny. Around a minute or so later, the kid spoke once more.

"Kiba. I'll choose that"

"Good." Icitra said with a laugh. "Catch" He then threw an apple towards him.

Kiba, caught the apple after nearly dropping it and salivated at the sight of food. He looked towards his kidnapper and seeing as how he was still walking away, he looked back at the apple and began devouring it.

After finishing it, he looked up, and saw another one coming towards him, which he caught and ate once more.

This continued until he had a small bump in his scrawny little stomach.

He couldn't help but relish the feeling of being full, something he hadn't felt for years. He looked up at the man responsible for his sudden rescue from his near death. Something he knew was approaching.

'Maybe he's not so bad after all.' He thought with a tiny smile.

"Get a move on brat, my lifespan will run out before we get home with the speed you're currently walking at."

'Nope, he still and annoying bastard' And his smile was gone.

"Hah, I knew it. You really are an old b*stard, are you sure you don't need a walking stick"

"How about I use you as one?"

...

"Thats what I thought, now stop dawdling and start walking."

~~~~~~~~~~~
It took them a little over a day for them to reach Icitra's house. Something Kiba was extremely surprised by.
It was something the system gave him upon entering this world since it couldn't have him sleeping on the floor. It was a beautiful two story wooden house, with a tiled room and even a chimney. It had six bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a balcony.
"What the hell is that?" he asked with his mouth threatening to open wide.
"Its my house. Your new home for the foreseeable future. Go pick a room on the second floor. Afterwards go have a wash cause you stink"
Kiba just nodded his head and didn't even bother retorting since he was quite excited to see the inside, so he took of running up the stairs.
[Fufufu, someone's excited]
"Well, he's just a brat after all. No matter how much he tries to act mature, a kid is a kid. I just hope his past hasn't affected him too much."
[Mm, when do you plan on teaching him? He's not exactly in the best shape.]
"I know" He said with a sigh. " I'll start tomorrow. He can rest and fill his stomach tonight, and I'll start teaching him tomorrow. The Qi he absorbs should help with his condition and after he reaches the first stage of Qi gathering, he should recover."
[Try not to go too hard on him them]
"pftt. I won't."
[That's a lie. You weren't named the Demonic Sergeant for no reason]
"Huh, that's just something weaklings called me. It only took me a week or so to knock it out of them"
[No, you beat it out of them after you heard one of them call you that. They still called you that, just not to your face]
"Hoh? They did, did they? Well, I'll have to give them a special lesson next time I see them then, won't I? phahahaha"
[You do realise you're in another world, right?]
"Where there's a will there's a will my dear Lora, Where there's a will, there's a way."
Thus, comes the end to another night.
~~~~~~~~~~~~

Meanwhile a group of soldiers randomly jumped out of bed in the middle of the night shivering with cold sweat.

"I just dreamt of the sergeant" One of them said with a shiver.

"Me to"

"Same"

"Let's do some push-ups or something"

"Agreed"
