Denying Beauty

My heart continues to race as I struggle to run quickly as I can. I also ignore the wounds in my body as I am currently focused in escaping the situation I am in.

"My love, where are you? "

I quickly hide behind the tall grasses when I hear his approaching voice. My hands are also tightly covered in my mouth. I hold my breath as tears continue to stream because of the combined fear and disgust I am feeling. Disgust because the person who caused me so much fear now is whom I consider my best friend.

I can't quite imagine that everything would end up like this. That even my uncle would go crazy because of my beauty.

"Come here. You can't leave me."

I slowly walk away. But I was so shocked when Uncle Rico's face appeared in front of me—grinning.

"Got you! "

I struggled when he grabbed me and my chest throbbed even more.

"Uncle, please have mercy! We're carrying the same blood and you are doing a great sin! "

"Sin? Hah! It's not, Eva. It's love! "

"Uncle, you're going crazy! Please stop this madness of yours! " I shouted loudly, and I just felt his palm hit my right cheek hard. I almost fainted at the force of his slap on me.

"I-im sorry, Eva. I didn't mean to do that. Please, just be obedient, and stop crying." he comforted me, but my crying only intensifies.

Everything happened so fast. He was about to kiss me when someone pulled him. The next thing I witnessed was my uncle falling to the ground, but I can only see the back of the person who did it.

"W-who are you? Thanks for–" I wasn't able to finish what I am about to say. My hair stood on end when I saw his whole face.

My chest throbbed triple when I saw the color of his eyes that seemed to be on drugs. I was shaken as he slowly approached me with glaring eyes and a smirk plastered on his face.

"Fuck! You're a real deal. "
