A Promise

Kelvin and Carl could be seen, walking along the streets. The both of them walked in silence. And after a while, Carl, not being able to withstand the silence, suddenly spoke,

“What is it Kelvin? You wouldn’t lie to old man Ruckus, if it wasn’t for something important. So, speak.”

Kelvin let out a short sigh, before he replied,

“It’s not really as important as you might think. The thing is… I want you to make a promise. And I’m even willing to forget our bet, because of this promise.”

“That silly bet is something I brought up, just to make the second stage test more entertaining. It wasn’t really serious anyway. So, tell me. What kind of promise?” Carl asked.
